Kitz Concept Toy Thread 2.0
jvmacross replied to Stampeed Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
KC still has some canon schemes left to do.... Almost seems they are packing both arcade VFs into one box... I am trying to convince myself to keep collecting the "1/72" KC VF-1's....I think if the Three-Zero is indeed larger I'll be good with at least completing the canon KC schemes left...there are not that many left to do... It's a shame that the DYRL schemes now seem certainly off limits to them....perhaps some side, off the record, 3rd party collaboration releases may alleviate that...lol- 2490 replies

Don't have access to the lineart at the moment....but based on this screen grab....should open to the left? For me, as long as they work, the more gimmicks the better...perhaps this was the only way Three-Zero could make a nose cone work without becoming a floppy mess?...still, by adding a good magnet I am sure they could have gotten it to open and stay closed in the proper direction....perhaps on version 1.x!

If it's closer to 1/60...maybe it should be compared to the Yamato-Arcadia in all aspects...

No, they did....I added the link to the original product announcement from Three-Zero.... The latest makes no mention of scale.... https://www.threezerohk.com/product/robo-dou-vf-1j-veritech-rick-hunter/

If this ends up being more 1/60 than 1/72....perhaps we will finally get our 1/60 "DX"... ...and Bandai will be forced to 1-up the Three-Zero with their 1/35...
-
Interesting that Three-Zero removed any mention of their VF-1J being 1/72.....did the figure design change or KitzConcept complained? https://www.threezerohk.com/robotech-2/

I would be surprised if some kind of hands that can be stowed away during fighter mode are not included...otherwise it's technically not perfect transformation.... I like how it looks...looking forward to having it on-hand....never bought anything from Three-Zero before so not sure what to expect

Barbie (live action), in theaters Jul 21, 2023

It looks really good....hoping that they found the perfect mix of creepy and funny this time around....as The Haunted Mansion is my favorite of the classic Disney rides...I'm hoping for sequels and prequels....it worked for PotC for a while...lol- 66 replies

I have a bunch of extras....been wanting to paint mine too for the longest time....the sold prices on those are a good incentive....I'm surprised others have not tried to cash in

Are you the one who has been slowly buying these as they get posted?

If BW could at least assert itself on DYRL, that would be great. Being able to finally get the film properly screened outside of Japan would be a great win for the fandom, especially old school fans like myself. I have no expectations for SDFM to ever escape HG's strangle hold , so I have long accepted the status quo on that series. At the moment, I am not exactly sure why HG went out of their way to single out DYRL as a "sequel" to SDFM, but I am hoping that turns into some positive developments for that film and it's potential release status outside of Japan. One other thing that is sort of interesting is the upcoming videogame Macross Shooting Insight's inclusion of DYRL VFs, but not SDFM VFs...may be nothing and indeed the DYRL content may be region blocked...but who knows...maybe not?
-
If so, then I'd really wish BW would stop the BS and start releasing DYRL stuff outside of Japan...but for whatever reason they continue to shy away from that...it's like there is still an unwritten rule about the release and merch for that film.... Still, that was the first time I ever saw in writing, from the HG/Robotech side of things, specifically stating that SDFM sequels, including DYRL, were off limits to HG/Robotech....so at least it would seem that there is no more ambiguity in terms of merch releases? Might explain why the latest crop of "HG" licensed merch (such as the KC VF-1 line) no longer portrays the DYRL schemes and DYRL characters like they did before?
-
Not sure if this is true....I have not seen any video of the Robotech panel at SDCC 2023, so who knows...but if it is true...then any hopes of getting a US/World release of DYRL is not looking good for the immediate future.... My hope is that the rights for an international release of DYRL can at some point be undisputedly wrested away from HG once and for all...I need to see DYRL at my local AMC IMAX now!

Looks like Macross Shooting Insight lives within the Bandai-verse....
