  1. Looks great. Do you think your decals still work? I started making vector art of them and can dig them out if you want to print them for yourself.
  2. The VFX reel contains everything you need to watch of this movie.
  3. Canards on a proposal for an american fighter = fail.
  4. Somebody had the brilliant idea to combine YF-23 and F-14.
  5. The visuals are great, but I have to say that Mila Kunis does absolutely nothing for me (and the other characters aren't promising much, either). Can't they add charisma in post-production today?
  6. I just finished the HGUC Victory 1. A great little kit. I modded the elbow joints for a simpler look and replaced the kit's hands with Bandai Builders Parts size S hands. Decals are from the Unicorn set. Size reference:
  7. That's just what I was thinking. From my experience, it's faster (and less expensive) to try out different dimensions and shapes with cheap foam than HD urethane. Once you have the basic proportions nailed down, you transfer them to the Renshape. In my university days, I used extruded polystyrene foam (XPS or EPS) from DIY shops.
  8. I know you know what you're doing, but wouldn't it be quicker to build a rough foam mockup of the more complicated parts to get a grip on the design?
  9. Already posted in the Playarts thread, but I figured they should be here, too. Briareos looks killer, Deunan... not so much.
  10. Deunan looks like a cosplayer, but Briareos rocks!
  11. I highly recommend the 1/72 Hobby Boss Rafale. The quality of the finely engraved details is easily on the same level as modern Hasegawa products, and it comes at a very affordable price. The only letdown are the decals; I got a third party sheet for my kit.
  12. Let's hope the success of "Gravity" opens some doors here.
  13. Another amazing scratchbuilt Mave: http://bbs.xiaot.com/thread-943715-1-1.html
  14. Taghobby in online again, so here's a bigger pic: The recent MGs have really good proportions.
  15. "Alien" without Giger's designs would've probably been a "not that bad" movie, too. You can do this by the numbers, or look at the stuff Giger, Moebius and Foss brought with them and take it on a totally different level, even if it contains only basic concepts from the source material.
  16. Pimp your (1/500) Yamato: http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-2/bandai-2014年6月發售-模型-宇宙戰艦大和號2199-1500-宇宙戰艦大和/
  17. And if you follow the source material without a hint of artistic vision you get "Dune - the miniseries".
  18. Too bad it's too late to have Moebius commenting the project.
