I think so as well. The YF-19 side scematic isn't very flattering, IMO. That angle is definitely superior on the YF-21. But honestly, I'm in love with both designs. It'd be very hard to choose a favorite, though my tendancy to cheer for the underdog probably tips the YF-21 a little higher, hahaha

The GF-2200 Ghost has 5 micro missile launchers, all mounted on the forward dorsal hull. On my website, I've shaded the ports a little darker than the rest of the fighter: They don't appear to interfere with anything, so I see no reason why they can't fire when attached to the VF-0A.

Those are some great color schemes. Lots of nice decals and insignia as well. But where the hell did they get that awful VF-1 side schematic? The legs are on this gimped angle, it even throws the UN SPACY logo off center, LOL

Tape wouldn't cause blur on most modern scanners, not to that extent. It's page lifting that is causing the blur. The drawing is larger than the scanning plate and so the paper is lifting when it approaches the edges of the bed. The way to correct this is to ensure sufficient overlapbetween scans, which it looks like you've accomplished as far as I can tell.

The Macross Compendium is indispensable. My website wouldn't exist without it. It is dry and fact based, but that's exactly what makes it such a good website for Macross facts. Like eugimon says, it's the ultimate reference site. The Macross Mecha Manual covers some of the same material as the Compendium, but has a much narrower focus and a different mandate. My site is meant to be mecha focused, entertaining and fun. So it is a bit more "jazzed up" and presented as such. But really, it's still just a glorified reference site even if it does look sexah

While I enjoy the vast majority of Kawamori's Valkyries, there are some designs that are just plain lousy, IMO. The SV-51 Battroid, the VF-9 Cutlass Battroid, the VF-4 Lightning Battroid and the VF-14 Battroid are horrible and easily the worst of his robot modes. They are all hard on the eyes. Now, this is talking from a purely aesthetic point of view, from a Macross fan who is accustomed to stylish (even overly so) robot designs when he watches anime. Stylized mechanical designs are a strength of anime mechanical artists. Now, as just a nasty, transformable mechanized robot, the SV-51 is one mean looking piece of metal. Much like some traditional western mechanical designs created for realism, the SV-51 works brilliantly as a plausible piece of military hardware. It's ugly and it's awesome that way. The VF-9, VF-4 and VF-14 don't win any contest categories. Burn 'em! As for fighter modes, I find the VF-3000 fighter just bland and boring. I also dislike the way the VF-19 totally striped the YF-19 fighter of detail and created those awful ankles and wings. I also think the Fz-150 Pheyos is just a tragedy with those terrible arms sticking out the front in fighter mode. That thing would look so cool as a fighter without those damn things poking forward. In fact, the Fz-150 would look so much better with totally redesigned arms period.

Well, depending what you have I might be able to use some of it for indirect help. I really need a lot of color reference for the mecha from Macross 7. Pictures online for that series are woefully inadequate. I'm just using the show for reference, but a few cells couldn't hurt and some decent screen shots. The New Macross Class was a batty to color just going from the anime.

You mean the Zentradi "Enemy" Battle Suit? Zentradi "Enemy" Battle Suit Make sure not to cling to the old Role-Playing Game terminology. Often times it's wrong. "Renegade Power Armor" is one such incorrect name, just as an example. Are your pictures in high resolutions? I work in VERY big stuff. I could take a look at an example or two and see if I can use it. There is always rare stuff I'm on the lookout for.
