  1. The VB-6 Konig Monster, the SDP-1 Stampede Valkyrie and the VF-11B "VF-X Ravens" are all complete and will be included in the next update. A search function is beyond my humble HTML skills, but I was thinking a "Master List" in alphabetical order might work. Oh, the work never stops Don't worry, the M3 will be around for many years. Even if updates eventually cease (which they inevitably will, some time down the road) the Macross Mecha Manual will stay online indefinitely.
  2. Sorry to jump in on your conversation, but I just wanted to say that I like your avatar Valkyrie Addict. It is simple, but it's a good shot and Flashback pictures are very rare. Of course, Zinjo has ya beat, but I just wanted to praise your avatar choice too
  3. Hmm, I've never felt that way. Sure I like Mikimoto's work, but I've definitely enjoyed Macross just as much without him and disliked some Macross to which he's contributed. I just want a good story with some good mecha. Anything on top of that is a bonus.
  4. Oh, there have been criticisms. Very few criticisms, but no matter what one does in life, there are always a few pouncing for your jugular I will say this: for a one man show, I'm very happy with what I've been able to produce for the Macross fans. Whenever someone here posts how much they really love the M3, it makes all the hours of work worth every minute. Now, if only I could get paid to do this for a living...
  5. For the most part, I have to agree with this one point of Graham's post. The vast majority of the time, if I want a Valkyrie I want it to transform. It's one of the reasons why I've never purchased a Macross model. It's also why the big Yammies were such a dream. The 1/48 VF-1 has such great articulation and is fully transformable; why settle for anything less? However, I do like small, highly articulated figures as well. And since I already own two Yammies, there's no harm in getting myself a Revoltech of my favorite VF-1 variant
  6. The articulation is so great and dynamic, I sometimes find myself enjoying the poses that can be accomplished more than the mecha designs themselves. Some of the Revoltechs looks so great, I want to buy some of the mecha from shows I've never seen or even outright dislike! Now that's addictive!
  7. I'm really glad to see so much love for this series here on the boards. It is kinda ironic that Haruhiko Mikimoto of Macross fame worked on what is my favorite Gundam story. Though it's really coincidental, since the story is the best part of the show. But I absolutely love the reimagined mecha designs of 0080, especially the Gundam Alex, Kaempfer and Zaku II Kai. This little series got everything right. I'm gonna have to do a bit of Gundam homage on the Macross Mecha Manual
  8. Well, you don't have to worry. A game like this will be around for years after release. Just keep it in mind when you get around to upgrading the computer on your own time. I've done that with a few games in my life. I've also waited with consoles too. Hell, I didn't play the original Halo until over a year after release. I avoid consoles at launch; it's much less expensive to buy them later
  9. Thanks Sorata. I'll finalize this profile then. As above, Torii and Sorata have provided a a large number of scans so I could conceivably include the VF-1X Plus, VF-19A, VF-17 and VA-3 color variants as well. Might be a while before they appear though. I'm doing mostly Macross 7 stuff right now (currently working on the New Macross Class).
  10. Zinjo nailed this one. That is definitely Kawamori. You can tell from watching Kawamori's other work and seeing similarities in the action. Watch Cowboy Bebop (which credits Kawamori as Stage Settings) and you'll note right away a Macross-ish feel to the space battle sequences.
  11. There's a chance some Macross II material will appear. There's just so much other work that needs to be done first. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
  12. I know in the book Shoji Kawamori Design Works one of his Diaclone drawings is included. Hwever, I know nothing of that series so I can't tell you exactly what it is. I can scan it for you later today and post it up if you like?
  13. Congratulations. That's a good find. I love my Macrss Perfect Memory book. It truly is THE book to have for any fan of SDF Macross. It's also been invaluable in the building of my website
  14. Wow, what an interesting piece of trivia. I wonder, perhaps I should add Tenjin's name to the credits for the Macross Zero mecha on the M3? Thanks for sharing.
  15. Oh yeah Story and Gameplay Video - Terran Campaign So, this is going to be quite a bit different from just another RTS
  16. Missed this one the first time around. Very impressive.
  17. Final image: Yellow Variant First Draft write up: On April 9, 2050, Captain Aegis Focker is placed in command of the 727th Independent Special Command VF-X Ravens. The VF-X Ravens operate the VF-11B fighters still in service and feature unique customized squadron colors. The normally dark colors of the VF-11B are replaced with a light grey hull, yellow highlights of the wing tips/stabilizers and a beige nose cone. Within this squadron Captain Focker commands Suzie Newtlet and Syun Tohma, two rookie pilots that quickly develop into stalwart fighters. The VF-X Ravens fly in combat against a newly formed terrorist group known as the Vindirance. Backed by the Critical Path Corporation and lead by Timoshie Daldahnton, the Black Rainbows unit is the most vicious enemy threat to the UNG since the Varauta Army attacks of the Protodeviln War.
  18. The Yammies have fantastic articulation, especially for a transformable figure. It's one of the things I love most about them. However, the Revlotechs are designed from the ground up for articulation only, so it's a trade off. But I like the idea of a high articulation line of battroid figures. I'm definitely picking one up.
  19. We aim to please Yeah, I can't help myself. I am definitely buying one of these fellas. I really like articulated figures that I can put into all kinds of poses. It's one of the reasons I love the big Yamato Valkyries so much. These Revoltech Valkyries are going to be great.
  20. Hehehe, that's the good thing about my small collection; you only buy the stuff you really want and will really appreciate I own about six toys total
  21. I don't know, but this looks like a straight torso pose to me. Not sure where this bendy theory is coming from.
  22. That is the poorest possible picture that could have been taken of the new Valkyrie, with the exception of the rear side of that exact frame I like some of the details on the Valkyrie (especially the VF-5000-esque torso), but YET AGAIN, this is so damn little that I can't say one way or the other until I see more. Damn, this is a killer. I'd almost prefer to have nothing than these scraps. Those colony ships look cool. That sure is a different design from the old egg-like New Macross Class Ships.
