  1. Amazing stuff there Cap!
  2. Great job on the Saber @Thom! Very nice clean build! Love the engine details!
  3. Let's see some HM-R or 1:60 Mecha on that thing!
  4. I'd watch it. But no Luke Perry... he was my favorite character! Dylan was the man. RIP.
  5. In a perfect world Arcadia would offer a trade in program for people who bought the 1st OD (believing it was gonna be lighter blue and have good legs!) to upgrade to the PF for like $100 or something.... yeh, I know, I need to put down the crackpipe...
  6. that looks great dude!
  7. I've heard good things about The Expanse...sounds like I should give that a try and not this series...
  8. That's looking really good!!!
  9. 1st round of primer down on Mrs. Q-Rau.
  10. Growing up in the mid-80's I of course never knew that existed, if Kay-Bee or Toys R Us didn't have it, you were just SOL. I have all 3 of the Legioss' still to this day, I always thought they were hideous even back then, but hey they were cheap and Mom and Dad got them for me to tide me over until I could get them to spring for the big Gakken's. I used my Transformers original Topspin as my Robotech Beta back then...in my mind's eye it was the closest thing I had that came close..LOL.
  11. Thanks! Q-Rau update as promised... Almost ready for some primer.
  12. USS Defiant reporting into Deep Space Nine! Well....this was a great little kit. Very simple and straightforward EXCEPT for the clear parts..more on that in a minute. The ship itself goes together well, little putty and some seam work (one of which re-opened on me, you can see it on the side view shot when I put the nacelle part in the front of the engine today as I finished up) . The decals---fantastic. Very good. I screwed up placement of a couple on the back end of the ship but in my defense the instructions weren't very clear on those. A LOT of Micro Sol/Set on them is needed 1000%. Lots of compound curves and surfaces to get them to lie down over. Most of them are opaque which is pretty cool. Now..the clear parts. ICK. I really wish model makers would just spend another $1.00 to make the clear parts snap into the surrounding solid parts. Would make things SO much better/easier! The entire back part of the engines is a clear piece, as is the front of the nacelle. Hand painting those was a pain, and for some reason one of the nacelle parts started to crumble on me this morning when I was just touching up the grey around the sides. Weird. I salvaged what I could and made it look passable. Nothing else I could do at that point. So all in all a great kit, minus the pain in the butt clear parts tree. It's definitely not a beginners kit if you want it to look screen accurate, Enjoy the pics!
  13. I gotta admit...I'm really liking the Calibre Wings VF-1. Wouldn't mind having one for my desk at work!
  14. I always liked the Toynami color myself. Looked more military-ish. I was just looking at my Toynami Alpha's and Beta's in the case the other day thinking I need to get them out and swoosh them around. Maybe transform the Beta's. To scared to do the Alpha's...
  15. Great pic there!
  16. I know a couple of THOSE people...they are INSANE and should be locked away somewhere..... so say we all.
  17. Anyone tried this yet? Trailer looks kinda interesting.
  18. ohh man! I totally forgot I have about 5 or 6 of those somewhere in a box! Need to find them to go along with my Eaglemoss ships!
  19. #sameoverhere
  20. Ohh...it's still here sitting on my desk looking at me. I wanted to build the Defiant before I went back to that, been on a Trek ships kick lately. I've pretty much pre-assembled all I can on the Qau and everything moves that is supposed to move, so next is seam clean up and some primer. Honestly...fit was REALLY good with this kit considering it's age, scary good really. Not really any horrible gaps at all. if I get the seams to go away and get it painted halfway decent, it might actually not look to bad..we'll see. Defiant and Q-Rau pics coming soon!
  21. Be great if someone...."cough" Bandai "cough" did a Star Wars vehicle line with attention to detail along the lines of the HM-R Macross stuff in about 1:72 or maybe 1:144 scale. That would be money spent for me!
  22. "fustercluckery".....LOL...gotta remember and use that one.
  23. Happy for those who are gonna go all on this. I personally like the Yamato scheme better, but that's just me, so I'm fine with keeping my one Yamato and my little HM-R VF-4 and calling it a day. Money saved on this one!
