I don't think Hobby Lobby by me carries anything but black Micron's, but I'm gonna check next time I'm there...they have a royal blue color available along with red and green according to the website... . Definitley will NEVER use anything but the Sakura line ever again.

cool! what paint did you go with on your Alaska Base? and did you clear coat it? -
Here is a picture of the offending brand of pen I bought from Hobby Lobby. Just so you guys know not to buy them for detailing models or anything else that you were going to use acrylic clearcoat on. The second picture is pens/markers that are perfectly safe to use and then use an acrylic clearcoat on. Hope this saves someone from making the mistake I made.

Finished Misa just now. She looked absolutely perfect before I decided to clearcoat with semi gloss acrylic. It was then I learned that the "permanent" fine point marker I had used to outline the blue areas melted and ran all over the place when the clearcoat hit it. I was furious. Still am. I touch up around the areas as best I could with white paint but the blue lines don't look anywhere near as crisp as they did earlier. I don't care I'm done with figure kits for the rest of my natural life. I'm going to find something to hit. The first pic is before the clear coat.and all the pics are loading wrong. Whatever . FML.

That plane was just "the business".... -
I agree. I still have my blue and green ones from my childhood. Sadly the green ones arm is broken off, and the blue ones front 2 nose fin things are broken, but they still take the awesome toy award. Especially in Battroid mode.

I chickened out short of prying the arms apart for my Alaska Base..I just masked carefully and removed any minor overspray with a small Tamiya pointy Qtip with paint thinner on it. Your way is better...I just hate "prying" Yamato's apart! I would KILL to see a custom blue and light grey GPB armor for a Max VF-1A or 1J...that would be epic! Your customs are definitely the best around. -
OMG!!! That VF-11 OWNS ALL!!!! I'll be throwing mine in the trash now....

I agree. In some films like Gravity, the absence of sound is gripping. That being said, I want full on 7.1 crazy space sound in my Star Wars/Star Trek films. BSG was a nice blend and mixed brilliantly.

I don't want that.....simply because I would have TO BUY 3 OF THEM as there are 3 totally awesome paint schemes! I vote for the scout or the enforcer next!!! (sorry, forget the Mospeada names) -
Thanks MechTech!..I have an extra set of eyes for Misa...if I don't screw one up I will mail you the other set. Final product on Little Miss Macross...

the only parts that I guess you could call semi-fragile are the head lasers, but I usually just pop the head off before I transform any of my VF-1's anyway.
