    That's what I've started using. Airbrushing those is super easy and gives me good results.

    some VF-4G Lightning love! Every time I pull this thing out and transform it, I realize that this swan song for Yamato was the ultimate Yamato Valk IMHO . Those who have it know! The level of detail and engineering never ceases to amaze me. It will be a shame if Arcadia doesn't re-release it at some point.

    The Countach is timeless. There's just something about it. All it needs is Catherine Bach from Cannonball Run. That restoration video was awesome. Loved it.

    I agree, there are some cool things about Southern Cross. I need to finish my DVDs of the original Japanese series. I only wish someday we could get Captain America to do about a 1/48 or 1/32 scale Hovertank!!!

    I decided to really weather my land speeder model my girlfriend built about a year ago. It came pre weathered/painted as it was a snap tite kit, but I never really liked it so I threw a lot of black weathering wash, Tamiya weathering kits and some pastel chalk on it over the last couple days, I think it looks better. It looks better in person I'm just too lazy to get out my good camera and take good pictures...using iPad

    Depending on what pictures/scenes/remaster you look at, as the Captain said, the colors vary greatly. One of those purples should work for the main color, the secondary color looks either to be a very light grey, or a very light lavender color. Haven't made up my mind on that yet. I'm going to do the feet/claws in a graphite metallic, and then the semi gloss black for the black detail areas.

    Some good progress on the girls....glued body's together, sanded, Tamiya white fine surface primer and Model Master Guards Red Acrylic for Minmay's dress, arms and shoes.

    After looking around today, looks like our best out of bottle color for the main purple would be Tamiya Acrylic X-16 Purple or Model Master Plum Crazy Enamel.

    Good thread here! I have had this problem with on plastic and resin kits myself. Nothing worse! I did a little experiment the other day and took some scrap parts out of an old plastic F-16 kit, never washed, nothing at all. Sprayed Tamiya acrylic paint on it and let it sit overnight. Layed down perfectly. The next day I stuck a piece of Tamiya masking tape on it, pressed it down pretty good and let it sit for another day. Went back and not even very gently pulled up the tape...guess what??? NO PAINT LIFT! This leads to believe that something is going on when I wash and or primer my kits....

    fantastic! ....I really MUST start looking at which paint company makes the best shades of purple!!! Anybody got any ideas ???
