  1. It's funny you mentioned that @Thom...I was already worried about those 8 clear round parts! Hahahaaha!
  2. Are Round 2 and Polar Lights sister companies or something? Their boxes look awfully similar....So do the decal sheets. IF I had nothing but time and space, I would totally build the 1:350 Enterprise and the 1:350 Klingon ship. HUGE and awesome!
  3. Sorry, to much interneting of late....you are correct..Polar Lights is the Defiant kit I bought. Part of me wants to try a very simple lighting job on it.
  4. I hear ya Pengbuzz! I talked the wife into the 1/1000 Defiant, it's pretty cheap on Amamzon. It'll be here Monday. I'm gonna use that as a test bed to see how I like the quality of the Round Two stuff. Might ask for the set of 7 E's for my Bday in August. I told her I need simple inside projects to keep my out of her hair this summer when it's 105 degrees outside!
  5. Honeslty -- I think I'm gonna build the 1:72 reissue that's out. That will be a fun build and I can detail the crap out of it as much or as little as I want to! And the model is like $30 + shipping. LOL.
  6. Agreed. That scene bugged me in Endgame. Thanos chunked Gamora off the cliff, so yes, he legit earned the soul stone by killing his adopted daughter in order to get what he wanted. Barton and Nat's "No I'M gonna fling myself off the cliff cause I'm MORE noble than you...no..that didn't work for me. Red Skull should have been like..uhhh NOPE..sorry..No dice. LOL
  7. Double no.
  8. Over last weekend I had a chance to de-form my SOC Voltron and have a little fun with the lions and all the accessories. Admittingly this is my only Bandai SOC figure to date, but I just can't get over how gorgeous and well made this thing is. Everything just screams quality. I truly can't wait to have Vehicle Voltron come in just in time for Xmas this year!
  9. I felt that DS9 took the longest of all the series to get on track. Once the Dominion came into full focus and Worf joined the show, that's when it hit it's stride. The first 3 seasons of DS9 were rough to get through again on my last rewatch a year or so ago. A lot of naps were had, I'll say that. That being said, I feel it ended up being the strongest of the Star Trek series overall. TNG is still my overall favorite, but DS9 gets overlooked to often IMHO as to just how good it was in the end.
  10. Voyager got better as it went on, Just like TNG and DS9. then the finale just like straight up Sopranos style ENDED. I felt like Enterprise never really found it's footing. Although I liked Season 4 slightly more than the other 3.
  11. I'm sorry, I just tripped over my own jaw on the floor.......
  12. Might be........ As an only child mom spoiled me with toys, much to my dad's dismay. Dad tried to get me an educational electronics play set, you know the ones that teach you like basic circuit design and stuff one year, I never even touched it. Looking back..prob should have!
  13. I believe it was yes! Tranformers, Robotech, Voltron and later GI Joe. What else WAS there in the 80's?! Oh wait....maybe we shouldn't go down that road...LOL!
  14. Thanks guys! I actually found ModelChili's review earlier at work and watched it! I've followed his builds before. I might end up just doing the D, but I do like the idea of having them all in scale. @Chronocidal, Starship Modeler has the set of 7 for $65.95 plus shipping. 3 in stock. It's a legit place, John the guy who runs it is a good guy. Anywhoo..B.O.T..The XL Runabout is up on the Eaglemoss website, but it looks as though they just took the pics from the smaller one..LOL. No sale until I see the real thing EM!
  15. Yeh, it was a sad day, I'd had it ever since X-Mas of '85! Survived in my parents attic in TX for over 20 years! It was in my Macross display cabinet for like 8 years, pulled it out to re-arrange the cabinet one day and the shoulder just literally crumbled off in my hand..I legit almost ugly cried. It was a good Xmas....(from Toys R Us)...Next to the one where I came home to find the original Hasbro Millennium Falcon, this is the one I remember the best!
  16. @theraiden - I have an original of this kit from a guy down in Australia. I bought it direct from him years ago. I'm almost certain these are non legitimate re-casts, which means who knows the quality of the resin used. It is a resin model kit. If you have never dealt with a resin kit before, it is an entirely different animal than a plastic model kit like the Arii kits. I wouldn't suggest it as a first go with a resin kit if you haven't had any experience. It was about my 3rd or 4th. That being said, it IS an awesome display piece once completed. I found the only really difficult stage of the build is securing the two halves together. It's a b*tch. I actually snapped the nose end of mine trying to do it, but was able to salvage the build. The Arii kits are very small, but build up pretty nice considering their age. Except the flagship that is..I don't know what the designers were thinking on the nose part of that one, it looks nothing like the resin kit or the show itself.
  17. Man I wish my big Matchbox SDF-1 hadn't lost an arm/shoulder a few years back. It till looks killer in attack mode!
