  1. Yeah, still no subs Damn, will have to watch GoT instead of Delta.
  2. Haha, me too. Broke a pylon on my Ozma Armored a few weeks ago.
  3. I hope we get at least a few main character deaths during the course of the show. I love phyrric victory type endings.
  4. Yeah, back when Frontier was airing, I'd watch the live stream, then raw, then subs. Nowadays, as much as I like Delta, I just wait until Monday for the Subs. I still read all the spoilers before watching though..........hahahha
  5. Damn, brain fade. Completely forgot there was a Battle Frontier in the Macross Frontier anime.............hahaha. Only could remember Battle Galaxy and Macross Quarter.
  6. I'm guessing the first time we'll see any tech specs for the VF-31 is when the VF-31J model kit is released next month, as the Bandai Macross variable kits usually have full tech specs listed in the instructions.
  7. Hmmm.........yeah I'm a huge fan of the original and was extremely skeptical when I heard about the remake, but the trailer has me intrigued. I'm kinda interested in this, as long as the action choreography is good for both the gunfights and hand-to-hand stuff. And by good I mean reasonably realistic and showing a decent level of skill. I hope they put the actor playing Riggs through some proper training. Presumably if it follows the movies, he's supposed to be an ex-Special Forces guy.
  8. I picked up that new issue of Hobby Japan today that has the 1/72 VF-31J on the cover. Lots of great pics of the completed kit inside, but no pics of the sprues unfortunately. Was hoping to see what's colored and what's not.
  9. Pass, saw the second trailer not for me. Need to rewatch me some TOS, TNG and DS9 to purge that trailer from my memory......haha
  10. I always go though the mecha scenes in every episode in slow-mo or frame by frame, several times.....haha
  11. Seeing that clear version makes me very curious about how much is actually correctly molded in the correct colors. Seems like quite a lot.
  12. I was very impressed that after Bogue destroyed The left forearm, arm gun and arm shield of Hayate's VF-31J with his beam cannon the animators or continuity checkers didn't mess up and when Hayate transformed to Fighter mode they correctly animated it showing that the arm shield and arm cannon was missing from the underside of the VF-31J's wing.
  13. Yeah for me so far Ikenai Borderline is the only song that I like and sticks in my head.

    Bandai DX VF-31

0.89 is an early release unfinished preview of episode one and was released late last year in December IIRC. Even though it is about 90% the same as episode one It is worth seeing in my opinion as there are some differences, mainly the deleted wireless charging scene.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Yes the other side of the container that does not hold the beam-gunpod is a wireless charger for the multi-drones. It has only been shown being used once in the Mission 0.89 preview episode. For some reason they cut that scene from the Mission 1 episode, which I feel was a mistake, as people who didn't see 0.89 and who haven't read up on it will have no idea what it is or that the multi-drones do run out of power and can be quick charged by the VF-31.
  16. Oh, I will have to try to track down that issue.
  17. No, the VF-31's hands do not get tucked into a pocket in the lower legs like on the VF-30. I have looked into this quite extensively studying all the available toy and model pics and line-art. While the arm cannons are stored at the juncture between the legs and wings in Fighter mode, the hands and arm shield are actually stored in the underside of the wings. The wings are actually quite thick on the VF-31. The shield hinges out from the forearm to become a wing panel. Likewise, the hands also is stored on the underside of the wing.
  18. Yeah, I also think it's good that they are sticking to mostly short bursts. I posted about quite a few posts about the arm cannons earlier in this thread theorizing about the ammunition capacity and storage. I still think that as the VF-31's hands are not stowed inside the forearms in fighter mode (they are located on the underside of the wings), that at least some of the internal space inside the forearms is actually the ammunition magazine for the arm cannons. I wish Kawamori would get round to releasing some hard tech date on the VF31s, including calibre of the arm cannons and ammo capacity, number of micro missiles carried in the 6 internal launchers, engine thrust and weight of the fully loaded and empty VF-31.
  19. Now that is interesting, because according to my understanding based on screenshots from multiple episodes and photos of the toys and model kits, the muzzle of the beam gunpod should be blocked by the groin-piece in Fighter mode. Very interesting, but great to know it can fire in fighter mode, without having to unstow the whole charger pod. Ah.........on closer examination of that pic, can see the beam gunpod is in the opened (extended position), which it normally isn't in fighter mode.
  20. But I wasn't talking about just the original Macross TV show and DYRL, but rather referring to Kawamori in his role of guiding Macross as a unified whole throughout it's various iterations (excluding Macross II), to make a mostly coherent continuity. Macross has one (1) alternate timeline only (Macross II) spanning a grand total of one (1) OVA, which is nothing compared to Gundam, which not even counting the SD or the Build Fighters animes has nine (9) different continuities/universes: UC, FC, AC, AW, CC, CE, RC, AG & PD!!!!!
  21. Personally, I think their Battroid is the best looking compared to the DX and 1/72 kit.
  22. I wanna see Roid lose his cool and get angry...... "Roid Rage" LOL
