  1. I can live with the smaller scale. I'm actually completely out of display space for the TomyTecs or Delta DXs anyway. I'm probably gonna have to retire my old and extremely floppy Yamato VF-0 and SV-51 1/60 Mac Zero toys to storage to make space for a Delta display.
  2. It's gonna be interesting to see how good these things are and whether they can replace my need for the transforming DX Delta toys. Looking at my invoice from HLJ, it's made me realise that I"m getting the VF-31A/J/C fighters, VF-31J battroid and VF-31J gerwalk all for about the same price as one DX toy, so that's 5 non-transforming, pre-painted and mostly pre-marked models for the price of 1 DX. And given that at this time the VF-31J DX is pretty unobtainable and is causing me stress because I can't obtain it, the TomyTec kits are looking more attractive as alternatives to the DX. These days I rarely transform my transformable toys anyway, maybe 2-3 times when I first get them and then they mostly remain in one mode. The key with the TomyTec's will be how durable they are. I know they are model kits, so will be more fragile, but hopefully they can survive being swooshed around and handled a bit.
  3. Just got shipping notification from HLJ
  4. Payment request just received from HLJ and just paid. Can't wait to receive these
  5. I think it's obvious that when told to expand the series past 13 episodes, they either didn't have the budget for much mecha action, or given the popularity of Walkure's songs decided to focus more on the girls and their singing, rather than anything mecha related. It's a shame, as this series started with such promise, but really went downhill fast after episode 13 and I think we can all agree it's not just due to the lack of mecha action but also many other factors as well.
  6. What's all this talk of a movie suddenly? Has there been any official announcement? I mean I kinda assume they will be making a movie or two, but I don't recall seeing any news about it so far? Ah never mind, just read page 3 of this thread (was reading backwards from page 5......hahaha). Completely agree.
  7. Anybody got a payment request yet? I thought the VF-31J and VF-31A are supposed to be out the end of Aug. Also, anybody know if they come with that clear stand shown in the photos above? I hope so
  8. Can't help, sorry I threw out all my first versions when the renewals came out. They were pretty bad toys.

    Bandai DX VF-31

No, it's a non-transforming, pre-painted model kit. The landing gear does not close. You chose to either build the kit gear down, or landing gear doors closed. It's a lot easier to make the gear look good, when they didn't need to close, even at a smaller scale.

    Bandai DX VF-31

The rear landing gear is what it is. It's Kawamori's design choice. Bandai are just doing the best they can with the design they were given.
  11. I was actually surprisingly ok with this episode after watching it subbed last night. At least we got some mecha action with Arad's VF-31A, even if it was only a few second's worth. And I quite enjoyed the Walkure origin story. The only thing that bugged me like it did other's was Keith's recation to Roid's admission that he killed his father. I mean if someone killed my father with a knife, even if he was already dying with likely only a few hours, days or weeks to live, I'd still be pretty pissed off.
  12. Yeah, I'm the same. Love the designs, but the show with it's lack of good mecha action, or even ANY mecha action is making me lose interest a bit.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Looks awesome, hope we can all eventually get one.
  14. I keep hearing P-Bandai mentioned. What is that? I've been out of the loop on Bandai models for years. The Delta kits are the first Bandai models I've bought since Alto's VF-25F kit was first released.
  15. I've always thought it was a bit silly calling them "Snowspeeders" as it was pretty obvious that they could be used in other environments and was even mentioned in Empire that they had to be modified to work in the cold of Hoth. They should have just been called something like Rebel Armed Speeders.
  16. Adam West's voice sounds too old for the role unfortunately, although Burt Ward still sounds fine. I really hope they do use the original theme music.
  17. I personally doubt that Lady M will be Shammy, I've always felt that the SDFM bridge Bunnies were kinda throwaway, disposable characters of little consequence.
  18. Finished Stranger Things with my wife and son about a week ago. We all really enjoyed it. Current TV series I'm watching are: The Last Ship, Season 3. Dark Matter, Season 2. Killjoys, Season 2. Also for older shows, just started watching Vikings, Dexter and The Shield, as never seen them before, but thankfully Netflix finally came to Hong Kong this year, so got a lot of catching up to do.......hahaha Graham
  19. Still waiting for my red VF-17S Milia
  20. Nah, you do need to use glue on these, otherwise parts will regularly pop off or come apart during transformation and handling. I used small dabs of superglue on pretty much most parts when building this kit.
  21. I'm hoping it's 27 episodes, as it's already confirmed as being 9 x discs (3 eps per disc x 9 = 27 eps). But more likely it will be 26 episodes I imagine.
