  1. When was the last time you saw an anime character of any age with hairy armpits? Graham
  2. Awesome videos, although the crashes made me go ouch. Luke, you do realise that you are going to have to make a flyable APHOS as well now . It would be great if we could find some way for Kawamori to see these videos. I bet he'd get a real kick at seeing one of his creations fly for real. Graham
  3. Wow, just looked at this thread for the first time. Absolutely amazing SV-51. Hope you can take and post some video clips of the thing in flight. Graham
  4. Perhaps instead of those Valk icons, we could have a Spiritia level meter or something Graham
  5. Not really keen on the pilot color . Mind you I've never really been a fan of the VF-1A Cannon Fodder anyway. Still going to pick up one, but only one. And that fugly box is going straight in the trash Graham
  6. While space combats are great and all, it doesn't make sense to have them in every single episode just for the sake of having some space combat. The present story arcs don't require space combat and it woud be a bit out of place just to throw in some random space combat to please fans. I'm sure once these story arcs play out then we'll get some kick ass space combat. As Gaijin mentioned in an earlier post a little while ago, season 2 has had lots of CG effects already, just most of it has been in land battles with the mechanical Cylons. And you have to admit that some of those firefights were pretty cool. Graham
  7. Regarding recaps, I can live with a maximum of 1 in a 26 ep series, none in a 13 ep series and an absolute maximum of 2 in a year long series. They have really ovrdone it with the high number recaps in GSD. Graham
  8. Bah, it's already September 10th in this part of the world. You guys are like so yesterday . Graham
  9. Heh, from the look of those pictures, if the Shadow Fighter tries firing it's gun in fighter mode, it's gone shoot itself in the back of the cockpit Graham
  10. I notice at the recent Wonderfest, that Liquid Stone is also selling a 1/6 scale version of the Studio Nue Powered Armor. Here's the pics from Noel's Wonder Fest report thread in the toy forum. ToyboxDX also had some news about this kit recently and IIRC, I think a price of US$500 per kit was mentioned.....ouch! We all know that Liquid Stone is not known for being cheap . Not sure if the kit includes the 1/6 scale trooper figure or you need to supply your own 1/6 scale figure. Graham
  11. Nope, no APCs anymore. The Dropships are still quite easy to find, but when we went shopping on Monday we didn't see a single APC and we looked in all the shops in Mong Kok. Graham
  12. Went shopping with Blackaces, Valk009 & Neova on Monday evening and we found a couple of shops that had stock of the limited edition black version Aoshima Dropship (limited to 500pcs). Not sure why anybody would want a black version though? Graham
  13. I'm betting that just like the Yamato 1/60, the Toynami Alpha was not designed using CAD, hence the poor parts fitting. Graham
  14. But the SD Lunamaria is so cute Graham
  15. Nah, this one reminds me more of a lobster . Graham
  16. Here's a pic of my shrine to Luna. Taken on my camera phone, so it's a bit blurry. I'm still missing at least 2 Luna figures . Graham
  17. Somebody please tell me that we get to see a Lunamaria Hawke sex scene before the end of the series? Then I'll forgive Bandai/Sunrise for those endless recap episodes. Also, I still think Lunamaria should get her own spin-off series or OVA. She's the only character I like in all of GSD. Graham

    YF-19 two seets?

The Macross Compendium has the following to say about the YF-19's rear seat: - Note, that it is optional, not standard. Graham
  19. Finally started watching this today after a friend lent me the whole set. Great stuff & really funny. Lots of homages to Macross as well as many other sci-fi anime and movies such as 2001 in episode # 3. I'm not usually into comedy anime, but this had me chuckling away. The only thing I'd recommend (as usual) is avoid the gawd awful dub. IMO the accents for the two main characters just make me cringe. Watch it in Japanese with the English subs, far superior. Graham
  20. That thing has been out since 81? Are you sure? I got my set of three when they "first came out" in 2002. I'm pretty sure they were not available before that... 325545[/snapback] According to the packing on the US version of the Kaiyodo toy, Studio Nue drew the design all the way back in 1979. The Armor design was later revised and updated by Nue in the 80s and used for the Starship Troopers OVA that came out in the mid-80s. Fast forward to a few years ago and Kaiyodo wants to release a Powered Armor toy and model, but it turns out that releasing the OVA version would entail higher licencing fees, so they go with the 1979 Nue version instead. Graham
  21. Not sure, but I think it is probably transformable. I think they are just showing us one mode only at first to tease us and will show us a mode each month in the magazines. So next month we'll hopefully see either the Battroid or Gerwalk mode. Graham
  22. This is just the resin prototype sculpt. It may not even having the locking mechanism in place. I'm sure that they legs will lock properly by the time they start knocking out the ABS test shots. Graham
  23. Found this pic in the new issue of 'Figure Oh' magazine and couldn't resist posting it. Apologies to Duke Togo. Graham
  24. Ok, I just picked up issue # 91 of 'Figure Oh' magazine and here's the scan of the page with the new 1/60 VF-0S pics. This toy is definitely looking better and better IMO. I love the side view pic, although I notice in that pic that one of the rear wheels is broken........LOL. I guess the resin wheel axel was not strong enough to support the weight of the plane. IMO, this is definitely the most anime-accurate and best looking fighter mode that Yamato have pulled off so far. In my book it even surpasses the 1/48 VF-1, mainly due to the fact that the arms don't hang down so far in fighter mode. Can't wait to see some battroid and Gerwalk mode pics. Graham
  25. I'll see if I can pick up that magazine Renato mentioned today and post the new pics if I can buy it. Graam
