  1. There was some talk of this, but the idea was dropped. Graham
  2. I can't remember if the ad showed the underwater or flying version. I'll check later at home and scan it. Anyway, I bet they'll release both versions. I want a Helldiver, I personally couldn't care less about the Griffon! Graham
  3. I ordered the R1 TV series from Amazon and the R2 OVAs from CD Japan. GRaham
  4. Just saw on the Takara Votoms site that the release date for the 1/48 Buglary dog is May 17th. Can't wait to get it. Graham
  5. I think the Urban GBP definitely looks best on a VF-1S. That's how I'm gonna display mine. Graham
  6. Hah, still haven't taken mine out of the box yet! Serious lack of interest in the VF-1 these days. Graham
  7. The Griffon is definitely coming, it's not just a rumor. CMs already have an ad for it in the new hobby mags. No photos yet, just some lineart IIRC. Graham
  8. Just finished watching the OVA 'Roots of Ambition' and it was awesome. Fantastic animation, with some great AT action. Currently half way through 'The Defrost' OVA. Votoms is now my second favorite mecha anime franchise behind Macross. I can't belive I delayed watching it for so many years. I don't see what the fuss is about the TV series ending, semed fine to me. For those who have seen it, is Merowlink wih watching? Graham
  9. 4th week!!! You are joking! Graham
  10. Heh, my son dropped my blue Alpha MPC from a height of about 2 feet onto a wood floor. The right toe broke off. Tried to glue it back on, but the type of plastic used doesn't seem to stick with super glue. Graham
  11. No, it's a complete TV series from the mid 80s. It's a Gundam clone, but I actually prefer it to 99% of most Gundam. Graham
  12. That pic is from the recent Tokyo Animation Fair. Mwer SaveRobotech and maybe some other members already posted a bunch of pics a few weeks ago of the girl and the scratch built model of the cockpit mecha, but still nice to see another pic. Graham
  13. Getting back on topic, I'm liking the fighter mode of the CM's Legioss less and less each time I look at it. The nose is far too long and skinny (Mosquito nose syndrome ), the angle at the rear of the cockpit is far too abrupt and I have a nasty feeling that the photo showing the Legioss and Tread connected is how the toy will actually look. I love the battroid mode though and will buy at least one set. Graham
  14. The pics are from the latest issue of Hobby Japan magazine. Nobody is sure yet if they are from a new anime or not. Hopefully, sombody can translate the text soon. Graham
  15. All good news about the JSF. Never liked the thing anyway. Hopefully the Royal Navy will end up with navalised Typhoons. Be funny if the USN also ended up with them as well.......LOL! Graham
  16. As shown in the new Hobby mags, looks like the next SPEC is going to be Metal Armor Dragonar together with XC-00 Cabarrier-0. Definitely getting that one, as I love Dragonar and have wanted a decent toy of it since the 80s'. Graham
  17. Actually, I'd say 'most durable' award goes to the 1/65 VF-17D/S toys. Despite having no metal parts besides screws and a few springs it is nigh indestructible Graham
  18. While I can accept the Legioss 2007 fighter mode, I'm not digging the battroid mode at all. I've never liked mecha with skinny tapering legs. The Dread2 looks awesome though. It's shaping up to be a very good year for 'real robot' mecha anime with a new Macross series, a new Votoms series, Kissdum (too early to judge if it's good or bad) and hopefully a new Mospeada anime. Heh, I wonder if they are allowed to discuss this over on RT.com? Graham
  19. I'm not too happy with the look of the CM's Legioss in fighter mode, but all other modes and the Tread look good. It's great it's gonna come with the little Cyclone. Graham
  20. For a 5 year old, I'd go for the Bandai reissues. I gave my son my VF-1J Hikaru reissue when he was 2 years and 9 months old and 2 months later it's still in one piece. Graham
  21. The photo on page one of this thread makes the VF-1J look like he's disco dancing. Graham
  22. Watched it, enjoyed it, not going to nitpick too much except to say I'm unclear why a German robot would be attacking Pearl Harbour. Graham
  23. I'll put in a second recommendation for the Armored Core and Ace Combat series. Graham
  24. I don't want to ask Yamato Japan, cus they'd probably just send me a whole new Garland rather than send me the replacement parts (like what they did when the 1st one broke) and I don't want 3 of the suckers. I'm not a huge Garland fan. I just want my 2 broken ones fixed. Besides, I want to test out how well Yamato's replacement parts supply works. Graham
  25. Harry looks like he's off to a Paintball game. Graham
