  1. Getting back on topic, I'm liking the fighter mode of the CM's Legioss less and less each time I look at it. The nose is far too long and skinny (Mosquito nose syndrome ), the angle at the rear of the cockpit is far too abrupt and I have a nasty feeling that the photo showing the Legioss and Tread connected is how the toy will actually look. I love the battroid mode though and will buy at least one set. Graham
  2. The pics are from the latest issue of Hobby Japan magazine. Nobody is sure yet if they are from a new anime or not. Hopefully, sombody can translate the text soon. Graham
  3. All good news about the JSF. Never liked the thing anyway. Hopefully the Royal Navy will end up with navalised Typhoons. Be funny if the USN also ended up with them as well.......LOL! Graham
  4. As shown in the new Hobby mags, looks like the next SPEC is going to be Metal Armor Dragonar together with XC-00 Cabarrier-0. Definitely getting that one, as I love Dragonar and have wanted a decent toy of it since the 80s'. Graham
  5. Actually, I'd say 'most durable' award goes to the 1/65 VF-17D/S toys. Despite having no metal parts besides screws and a few springs it is nigh indestructible Graham
  6. While I can accept the Legioss 2007 fighter mode, I'm not digging the battroid mode at all. I've never liked mecha with skinny tapering legs. The Dread2 looks awesome though. It's shaping up to be a very good year for 'real robot' mecha anime with a new Macross series, a new Votoms series, Kissdum (too early to judge if it's good or bad) and hopefully a new Mospeada anime. Heh, I wonder if they are allowed to discuss this over on RT.com? Graham
  7. I'm not too happy with the look of the CM's Legioss in fighter mode, but all other modes and the Tread look good. It's great it's gonna come with the little Cyclone. Graham
  8. For a 5 year old, I'd go for the Bandai reissues. I gave my son my VF-1J Hikaru reissue when he was 2 years and 9 months old and 2 months later it's still in one piece. Graham
  9. The photo on page one of this thread makes the VF-1J look like he's disco dancing. Graham
  10. Watched it, enjoyed it, not going to nitpick too much except to say I'm unclear why a German robot would be attacking Pearl Harbour. Graham
  11. I'll put in a second recommendation for the Armored Core and Ace Combat series. Graham
  12. I don't want to ask Yamato Japan, cus they'd probably just send me a whole new Garland rather than send me the replacement parts (like what they did when the 1st one broke) and I don't want 3 of the suckers. I'm not a huge Garland fan. I just want my 2 broken ones fixed. Besides, I want to test out how well Yamato's replacement parts supply works. Graham
  13. Harry looks like he's off to a Paintball game. Graham
  14. It's a week since I emailed Garner about replacement parts for my two broken toys, but no reply yet. Graham
  15. A small pic of the upcoming 1/18 Microman Vanilla & Red Shoulder Custom Weapon set. I'll try to do a better scan when I get home. Graham
  16. First non-Gundam HCM-Pro toy from Bandai. The purple Eva. Not much interest to me as I've never really been into Eva, but at least it's good to see the line branching out from Gundam. Graham
  17. Hmmmm........possible new Mospeada anime? (not Shadow Chronicles) Legioss & Tread 2007 designs to go with the updated Invid pics posted earlier. Graham
  18. Hmmmm........possible new Mospeada anime? (not Shadow Chronicles) Legioss & Tread 2007 designs. Graham
  19. Looks like Kaiyodo are also getting into the Scopedog game with their Revoltech line of toys. Graham

  21. I've had a few diecast zinc parts break on toys, so no it's not indestructible, far from it. it's debatable whether diecast is stronger than POM. There are too many variables, such as the shape, size and stesses on the diecast part and whether it has been well cast or not. Graham
  22. Yawn...........I have no interest in yet another VF-1 toy, especially as it's non-transformable. But I'd definitely buy some Kaiyodo Revolvotech Destroids or Zentradi mecha if they made them. Although I'm opposed in principal to non-transforming VFs, I might pick up some Macross Plus & Macross 7 battroids if Kaiyodo made them. Graham
  23. I'm hoping the new hobby mags (which I should pick up in a few hours), will have some pics of the upcoming Takara RSC weapons set. If they do, I'll post scans. I'm hoping by the end of the year we will get a DMZ Scopedog Turbo Custom. Graham
  24. The Takara 1/48 line is going to have a complete resculpt starting from the upcoming Buglarydog release in May. From studying the pictures in last months hobby mags, it seems the changes to the new sculpt include the following: - 1) A slightly bulkier (wider) body. 2) Much more molded-on detail, such as panel lines and rivets, especially on the legs. 3) Gone are the hollow biceps. The upper arm is now completely solid and has a slight taper towards the bottom, near the elbow. 4) The small front chest hatch now opens. 5) Possibly some die-cast in the feet (not sure about this). 6) Improved attachment method for the waist gatling gun. The left side chest vent is removeable and provides an extra attachment point for the gattling gun (gattling comes molded with the the chest vent). 7) Recessed muzzles on the GAT-22 rifle. There are probably other changes, but that's all I can remember off the top of my head. The Buglary dog will I think also come with a spare set of standard lower legs, so you can coonvert it into a Standard Scopedog. I'm pretty excited about this. I just hope Takara decide to start prioviding painted pilots. Graham
  25. Anyone publically admitting to liking stuff like Pokemon, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh etc on these forums, is going to get a good ribbing. Unless of course you can provide proof of age to show you are 10 or under. You have been warned! Graham
