    I don't know, I think I might like a little Highlander homage. And I'm certain she's going to be challenging Din before too long. They just have to avoid killing each other. On another thing, wasn't there a woman wearing a black cloak in the episode with the fish-woman and her eggs? She had a Sith-vibe about her, but we didn't see her again.

    Well, for some reason the New Republic had their entire fleet circling one planet... It's one of those written-in weaknesses, such as making the armed forces of the good guys tactical idiots. Also makes it easier for the good guys to be 'underdogs.' Even in that case through, there should have been some New Republic Fleet survivors, pickets at other systems and patrolling ships, that escaped the First Order's attack on Hosnian. But if you were going to redo A New Hope as The Force Awakens then you can't have that.

    That looks (and sounds) fantastic! But I was clenching unmentionables at the thought of a bird strike! They do hang around in trees. Unless they cleared them out first.

    Yeah, same here. Just more of reason for me to continue to simply watch a movie and just ignore the behind the scenes and tweet stuff!

    Got a little more done today. Finished up the saucer (I think) and started to paint the clear parts blue and red, and dark copper. I think I can start closing up the ship now!

    Just watched the first two and I liked them. They're setting the story and giving a bit of lightheartedness, with some little trippy instances peppered in to show that things are not all hunky-dory.

    Totally agree. Fill in the era post RoTJ and redo the sequel trilogy while they're at it.

    I think they tried for a clever quote just after Michael killed Osyrra. She's looking almost right into the camera, full face shot, and says. 'I never quit!' Basically as that was a difference between her and the Wicked Witch - except that the Wicked Witch had never quit either... It just came off as hokey though.

    Another problem with going so far forward in time. The world they had to create in order to be believable and not just a mirror to the time they left would have to be drastically different, not just in look but in its society as well. A thousand years earlier than our own time and the world was dominated with monarchies and religions and caste systems. But what we see in STD () is a society that has been basically stagnant for about eight centuries, at least until the Burn. Shortening the time frame they jumped to to a few centuries ahead rather almost ten would have been the better move.

    @vsim Nice striping! I almost always have trouble putting on decals stripes, so painting is probably the best way to go. @derex3592 That PE is looking good. And such cute (handsome?) cats!! And that's awesome with the clear windows on the Runabout. Looks great! @electric indigo The Mig is coming along great, esp with the paint and those 'stabby' things... Sweet! For myself, I finally got another build on the table. It's seems every one now is an attempt at a 'mojo-buster.' This one is the 1/1000 kit of the Kelvin, though I'm calling this one at 1/650. It's also not the Kelvin, but the USS Ampere NCC-0516.
