Definitely agree that Q should have been third season rather than second. As to villains, I don't mind if they trade them off, AFAIC. Having only on crew (cast) dealing primary with one enemy seems rather restrictive in story telling. They can trade trade off enemies seeing as they are a shared universe and then have fuller stories and interactions. They don't feel so encapsulated that way.

Yeah, everything is molded in white except for the gromits - and an extra chest piece in bright orange...

Oh, I know. I watched the series. And yes, Janeway (young and old) did a lot to damage the Borg. And yes, Sisko dealt with the Founders and the Dominion war, I just don't see that as 'possessive,' in that no one else can battle them for plot. Picard dealt with the Borg first and then Janeway did, which is fitting seeing as she was in their neck of the galaxy, but that didn't mean that Voyager was poaching another's enemy for themselves. It's all a shared universe after all, with the flip-side being, if I recall correctly, during DS9's Dominion War, there were questions as to where was the Enterprise during the whole thing? So, I don't see any problem with STP using them, in that they are enemies of the Federation as a whole, except for the fact that they were bait-n-switch bag guys - whereas the Changelings were already enough.

Other than not having enough Tron, I did like Legacy and hope this will be a good edition to the series.

I never felt that Picard was cleaning up anyone else's mess. He was the first to face the Borg and really had the closest association with the Queen - at least until she turned her eyes on Data.If you think about it. other than Q there were really no other big bads for Picard, as they took care of both in Season 2. Well, except for Q and his inconvenient way of understanding death better than us corporeal flesh bags. In this, I felt the Changeling threat was big enough.

Really agree about point 2. I think they were doing really well with the Changeling plot and putting the Borg in only muddled it up at the end. Still enjoyable, but just once again with too many villains.

If this April 1st!?!? Please don't be April 1st!! That is fecking awesome! Even if all they do is give us a third season to close it out, that is great news.
-
Shame it's not doing so well. It's a good movie. Although, if this is mostly accurate, I think I would have liked this a lot better! I hope Gunn creates a universe better than the old one, because that looked damn promising!

Or, just trying to be humorous rather than thinking everything has to be a deep dive into a simple movie. Which was a good movie, though your miles may vary. Like it or not, it's not the end of the world.

I wouldn't say it was that bad. A bit of a sour feel to the ending? Yes. Movie killing? No. But then again, I choose to think that...

Well, from someone who really liked Into the Spiderverse despite it being Part 1, I think that the Flash is really good movie. It was fun and exciting, esp seeing Keaton as Batman again, and Miller did great playing off of himself. And where it mattered it didn't pull any punches. There are somethings I wish had been done differently, but those are commented on further up the page.

I will say that season 2 was alright, probably more because Mount was on it. It also had a weighty ending where the crew was making a big sacrifice, and they didn't pull the rug out like they did with season 3.

This is from the Variety article... The cancellation of “Star Trek: Prodigy,” the first* animated kids show in the “Star Trek” universe, comes despite the fact that the show was renewed for a second season back in 2021. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, although the show had aired on Nickelodeon in addition to Paramount+, it will not be returning to Nickelodeon either. Those on the show will complete post-production on Season 2 and then CBS Studios will be free to shop it to other outlets. So, it's possible we can still see the second season if it's picked up by another 'network.' But, Bejebus! They keep cancelling the shows I like. And what's with cancelling it if it is already that close to completion. Just air the dang thing without going through all these hoops!

So I would day that Season 2 Episode 2 was the season premier that we were needing! In a complete 180 from last week, this was an outstanding episode! No space battle or phaser fights, just a straight drama that was extremely well written and acted. And the resolution is believable rather than some writer pulling a sneak-move at the end. This is the caliber I've come to expect from this show and I'm really hoping S2 E1 was just as light stumble before the sprint!

Marvel Studios TV Shows and Animation on Disney+

Agreed! Though it shows how spoiled I am that I was surprised when all the rest of the episodes didn't play right behind it.😁- 1511 replies

No. There is some dialogue alluding to the events of Disco S3 but nothing you have to watch that for.
