  1. Great nonetheless! I've been waiting for scans of this. Nice to see the CF-25s having wing pod boosters unlike in the show.
  2. Now there's a thought! A straight up product swap that benefits both parties.
  3. Yep I agree with logos-- if the foam is actually part of the design, and not just the packaging, the engineering elegance of the solution just wows me and leaves me even more impressed with Yamato.
  4. Apparently there is a fold-away seat behind the pilot for the VF-25 that is usually covered up by a shroud. Or so it says in one of the DVD booklets or Mac Chronicles.
  5. Nope.. the VF-0D would require retooling, with a new cockpit, wings, and all. I wouldn't mind a VF-0A in VF-0D colours though!
  6. I emailed Overdrive about this (if you recall, I previously allowed them to open up my boxes for the coupons)-- and for all those who also went the coupon route, your coupons have been sent in to Bandai-- and Overdrive just needs to know the dimensions/weight of the boxes before they can price the shipping, but they said they would be invoicing me by May 7th. Overdrive seems to be pretty busy though, maybe they are still settling in after their move?
  7. I certainly hope that the Gunpods can be stored into the belly plates-- would there be enough space for it?
  8. Next Yamato product: Appale Genki!
  9. I'm gonna go with this. I wonder if such a tactic has ever been tried in real life though.
  10. Well the 25th Anniversary VF-1 and YF-19 were pretty close, except for the gold piping.
  11. I can't remember the original article where I got that, but lo and behold wiki has some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WS-10 I've no idea how they did it but apparently they did. This might also explain the reports about them having problems with the responsiveness of the WS-10 to throttle inputs (it being a civilian turbofan and all).
  12. Well the same place that leaked the photos indicated a May/June release, so take that for what it's worth. In fact the source VF-22 picture has "JUN" in the title.
  13. The Armoured VF-25S will probably require as much, or more partsforming than the Super VF-25s
  14. Wow that is amazing art! i hope it gets released as a poster.
  15. Nah website exclusive is only for the DX toy. The 1/100 Michael has always been shown to come with speaker pods, ever since the first drawings.

    Graham's Sig

But Graham has already stated that the chances of there being a VF-4 are pretty low... I'll bet it has something to do with the third VF that he didn't name other than the VF-0D and the VF-4... Frankly we are going around in circles here
  17. I was actually responding to Seto, but anyway. In the original SDFM, Global's rank progression (as given by the Macross Compendium) is :Commander, Colonel, Brigadier General indicating that a mix of (traditional) Navy and Army are used in UN Spacy. So you are both right (in the case of Commander) and wrong (in the case of General). Since Macross Compendium is SK approved and more or less the officially sanctioned english site for all things Macross, I think you should work out your unified rank structure from there.
  18. Wow thanks for the clarification Graham. The leaked picture for the white/orange VF-19 is blurry for the fighter mode, certainly suggesting that it was leaked before it was ready. I guess there was a miscommunication between the store and their supplier/Yamato? The store mentioned a May/June release, but if the YF-19 re-colours have not been approved by BW I guess that's too optimistic as well? I hope the leak doesn't put you into Yamato's black book again! Also, wow, confirmed Mac 7 release by Yamato. Hope we can get to see a 1/60 VF-17 soon then Maybe next year? +1 for the M&M colour scheme-- especially for the VF-22. I wonder if Yamato has to pay Bandai any royalties for the use of Mac7 designs, on top of the licensing fees from BW?
  19. If I'm not wrong, Macross has a UN Army, UN Air Force, UN Navy and UN Spacy i.e. Spacy is another branch of the services specifically for space operations. Certainly, the backstory for the VF-19 mentions both, with the VF-19 A/F with Canards selected by the UN Air Force, and the VF-19 S/ etc selected by the UN Spacy for better space performance.
  20. No idea about the head design since I don't recall seeing it in Battroid mode, only fighter. But the single laser looks similar to Michael's head laser (and in direct contradiction to the Macross Chronicle article). I think the wing pods were jettisoned as well, since the leg super pack parts are still there. Actually in Mac Frontier I think the VF-25 CF have a lower damage rate than the main character VFs
  21. It may well be the VA-3 or the VF-9, since Yamato has already released them in the 1/200 line, indicating that they may have the license for the designs in 1/60.
  22. Well, the shop that I pre-ordered mine from lists it as a Gamlin version. They also told me that these are going to be May/June releases. However, no other online store has them up for pre-orders yet? I can't believe that a Singapore store got the word(and pictures) up before any Japanese or HK stores/sites did.

    Graham's Sig

Vveryy interesting... Yamato really surprised me with the VF-22S... I guess that the lack of Mac7 toys is due to perceived low market demand rather than Bandai blocking any other companies then? Anyway, Graham said somewhere else that VF-0D was a high possibility so I'd vote for that!
