  1. That's true! Ah well we'll have to wait for the VF-25S Armoured model kit then. I'd be inclined to trust the model kit over the toy since the model kit actually provides a manual with data and a breakdown of missile types (for the Super pack anyway)---and the toy has already been shown to have inaccuracies. Pete: Yes there are, but they are more or less the same as the hobby show pictures. No painted prototypes yet.
  2. Wow... a mixed day of good and bad news! Good catch honkhet! You have sharp eyes! Just goes to show that even with tens or hundreds or thousands of people looking at the same picture, some mistakes can still slip by! I don't think we can entirely blame Bandai for this though, because of the render that shows 004 on both shoulders-- the CG team for the show is responsible for this mistake. Still, I guess Bandai could have double checked and maybe sorted this out. Are the Michael shoulders 003 on both sides as well or are they fine? Alex: Thanks for the suggested fix. I will try it on my Alto Super parts if they are loose. Super parts release: Finally! And on the last day of March too. I can't wait to get my Super parts! It looks great. Armoured VF-25S: Looking great so far! Is this the one with the fixed neck, because the 3rd and 5th pictures don't look like turtleheads to me. The shoulder plate armour looks like it will restrict some shoulder poseability, although I guess you could just flip it out of the way. Nice to know that all the missile launchers can be flipped open! Maybe we can finally get an accurate missile count, just like how the Super parts missile pods were found to have 15 instead of 21 missiles like we all thought. Finally, doesn't look like there are provisions for reaction missiles, although I guess maybe Bandai is leaving the door open to a Tamashii exclusive reaction missiles with new wing pods that accommodate them Edit: I just realized that my 1/72 RVF-25 model kit has the correct shoulder decals/stickers i.e. SMS on left and 004 on right. This just makes the problem with the toy more inexcusable! I wish the model kit division and toy division of Bandai talked to each other more.
  3. That VF-25S Armoured looks tempting.. Luckily the DX Armoured is coming out in June or else I wouldn't be able to resist!
  4. Amazing! It looks awesome.
  5. On my part I'm just dabbling in kit building, just a simple build+panel lining+ stickers, which is probably why it goes so fast! I'm definitely not capable of building anything as amazing as yours
  6. Thanks. About the Aliens, they'd better show up this time! After the red herring that was the space whale (pun intended) in SEED. A movie would be a good place to introduce aliens to the Gundam universe as well, since if the fan reaction is bad, they can just claim it as a theatrical release within the timeline
  7. Heh I suspect that the F-35 is speed limited not by the amount of thrust but maybe by temperature, or maybe doctrinal restrictions. It has more than twice the thrust of the hornet, afterall. Otoh the US and LM are desperately trying to get more orders for the F-35 worldwide so I see no reason for them to downplay the capabilities of the aircraft. I just watched Battle of the X Planes yesterday (a great 2 hrs!) and I am well convinced that the X-35 was the better plane that won the competition. Between the Rafale and the Typhoon, I think the Rafale has the advantage (and disadvantage) of being more mature-- it's systems are fully integrated, it has full A2A and A2G capability, but probably less growth potential. The Typhoon, on the other hand, is still missing half of its projected capabilities, though it will get them eventually if the money (and demand) is there. (Note that for Singapore's NGF competition, the last two finalists were the F-15 and the Rafale, even though the Typhoon excelled at A2A combat)
  8. Wow I'm totally confused now. So to summarise: Old situation: Ohnogi was brought in for the second half, he was responsible for the Sheryl arc and sending Ranka on a wild Varja chase. New situation: Ohnogi only helped on episode 10, which was directly related to Mac0, which he worked on, and there is no official recognition/acknowledgement of him working on the second half incl. the Sheryl arc even though he was (allegedly) the mastermind of it? We need Scully and Mulder!
  9. Mwu La Fllaga flew the Sky Grasper as well and he's a full sized adult.
  10. Heh-- everybody who undergoes innovation will have a geass-- like Setsuna can de-materialise and rematerialise himself and his gundam
  11. Unfortunately the Alto Armour pack seems to be a web exclusive. I guess we'll have to wait for a possible movie version then.
  12. Ironically even in panic mode off you can see the colour difference between the wings/hip intakes, and apparently someone from that forum checked out 3 separate boxes of the RVF-25 and saw variations in the amount of colour difference between the toys.
  13. I think it is-- that is identical to the Banpresto prototypes.
  14. Uhh.. I get linked to a post with 2 1/72 VF-25G legs? I can't wait for my figures, but, I'll have to wait until the DX Super parts are out before my order ships. I wonder why Bandai still hasn't released the DX Super parts yet?
  15. Ouch. Sorry to hear that! Would a stronger setting glue like cyanoacrylate (Super glue), applied like the nail varnish, do the job? If you haven't sent your toy off to Bandai yet you could try it. Good to know that Bandai listens to their customers! Please keep us updated on the progress! Thanks for the Alto w/Michael Super parts QuinJester! All we need is that super fold booster now. Even though some may not like the sniper rifle, I'm just glad for the detail of it, including the tiny rocket stabilizers on the inside of each tine. Eugimon, honkhet: +1000! A 1/60 sized model kit with the same looks as the 1/72, and even more detail/features made possible by the 1/60 scale would be awesome! Heck, I would even accept a simple scaling up of the 1/72 kit, just like how Bandai's Gundam non-scale 1/100 kits are basically upsized 1/144 HG kits (True for Gundam SEED at least, I'm not sure about the non-scale 1/100s now).
  16. Thanks for the tip. Your VF-1J looks anime-tastic!
  17. Ouch. My condolences. Any way you could fix it with parts from overdrive?
  18. And the 11 looks great in gerwalk All is in harmony in the universe
  19. Ouch. I guess after Germany indicated pullout from the programme and France was iffy the other participating nations would be re-considering their decision as well.
