  1. Single head laser, khaki/brownish colouring similar to the SV-51 CF colour.
  2. Hmm doesn't look like anything new. Do we know the release date for this yet?
  3. My dad suffers from Psoriasis... apparent some tar-based cream really helped him.
  4. Wow they can balance without the SMS stand? Or are you leaning them against the wall? Either way, great pics!
  5. Thanks for posting the pictures of the MP Seekers, VFTF! You just saved me some money! IMHO, the MP Seekers just can't compare to the Yamato VFs. The money I saved is going into the new YF-19 recolours and the VF-22S!
  6. VF-0D: Hallelujah! I do hope we get to see all three choices made into 1/60s though. *starts eating ramen and saving up*
  7. There's probably a limit on how stiff you can make the back hinge-- I think the VF-25S Armour will have to rely on the stand to keep the back up in Gerwalk.
  8. It seems to me that Yamato went with F-15 style markings on the YF-19-- the Bird Pray (Bird of Prey?) white and orange are reminiscent of the YF-15 prototype and the Double Nuts is reminiscent of the F-15 S/MTD. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:F-15A_fi...prototype_2.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-15_S/MTD
  9. Hmm I guess-- the shop taking pre-orders is listing it as a Gamlin Kizaki custom though, with engrish mispelling and calling it Gamrin And I can't think of why they'd do that unless they were told that it is a Gamlin type from their supplier--or they have a Mac7D fan working for them. Personally I hope it's the latter--- it opens up the opportunity for Yamato to move on to MacF after Bandai has moved on to Gundam: Alien Invasion (aka Gundam 00 Movie) and other exciting Gundam series. As to those wondering about the YF-19 recolours, am I the only one seeing similarities with the F-15 prototype and the F-15 S/MTD? Personally, I'm all over the first white/orange scheme like white on rice, and will consider the second one if I have spare cash.
  10. I think it is really just a repaint. And I'll bet a VF-X2 paint scheme will be coming out, even if it has to be an exclusive or something like the GNU-DOU toy. I'm really digging the white and orange paint scheme though! I hope they will release a VF-22S Moonshooters paint scheme as well-- not to mention the low vis!!
  11. Heh... I'm pretty sure I know the country behind this-- the same country that already stole Titan II ICBM, B-2, F-22, ship propellers etc data-- and managed to reverse engineer the CFM-56 into a military jet engine. But again... politics. So I shall refrain :X Bowen I don't think operational UCAVs will have anthropomorphic AIs like UCAV-EDI-- there's really no point. But yea, Stealth was an OK adaptation of Macross, IMO. Even if it did bomb (pun intended ). It's interesting how Hollywood drew inspiration from Macross---which drew inspiration from Hollywood (Top Gun)
  12. Thats weird, because her songs are sung by human singers
  13. I'll bet he is half human, half zentran and half zolan... can't figure out the math? It works... just like the manbearpig
  14. It's not just repaints-- like I said, the VF-22S opens up a whole new horizon of possibilities for Yamato.
  15. VF-22S actually coming out by Yamato! What's significant is that it is a Mac7 property, formerly thought to belong exclusively to Bandai. Looks like Yamato has more than a few tricks up its sleeve!
  16. Holy!!! Actually, I recall a statement by Graham awhile back expressing the possibility that Yamato might be able to make Mac Frontier mecha in a few years--- Do you think Bandai actually decided to co-license Macross with Yamato, starting with the Mac7 line and possibly incorporating MacF in the future? I am definitely getting a VF-22 and the white and orange YF-19--- reminds me of one of the prototype F-15 paint schemes
  17. They didn't give an exact figure, but the coupons give a 1000+yen discount for each set over the MSRP if you didn't have a coupon--and each coupon allows you to buy 3 sets. Does anybody know if the Tamashii Web shop is open for orders yet? I'll email Overdrive for a quote if it is.
  18. Well I kinda lucked out-- I ordered from the second batch of VF-25G/RVF-25 from Overdrive, and asked them if they could use the coupons to order my fold boosters/ghosts-- and they can, provided you allow them to open up the box and take out the coupons. They haven't asked me for payment yet as well-- I think they are waiting until the web orders come online!
  19. Yep-- prototype 1 is ugly-- I guess a CF brown YF-21 would be ok... but we all know that Low vis is where it's at
  20. That's actually a pretty smart move since military requirements (and budget) are always changing--but this is venturing into politics again. Most successful military acquisitions that come in ahead of time and under budget are black programs like the F-117, free from uninformed interference. OTOH most black programs fail as well Anyway, Pred-C is faster, stealthier and has longer range than the Reaper with the same payload. And it is adaptable to carrier deployment as well, allowing the navy to take one giant leap-- into VLO aircraft and unmanned aircraft at the same time, if it gets deployed before the F-35C.
  21. Well, it's not Appale Genki, but it's a start!
  22. Overdrive will be ordering them eventually. Or you can try Tokyohunter. Both offer great service Comments for my Alto Super parts: 1) The wing boosters definitely lock into position with a click-- and they will be clear of the fins and won't sag in battroid after that. You just have to use your index finger and thumb to push the booster against the wing spike until you hear the click. 2) The crotchpiece can also definitely be attached in fighter mode-- but the clip for it impinges a little with the piece connecting the crotch to the fuselage so the alignment will be a little off-- but the legs etc can all still be aligned properly. 3) The intake armour is an irritant, it is looser than Yamato's VF-0 fast packs and definitely interferes everytime you handle the toy. Some blu-tack may solve the issue, but I'm afraid that the blu-tack will strip paint off the metal intake However the armour pieces cover up the ugly front part of the intake so I'm gonna leave it on. 4) With the Super parts on, the wing roots are no longer angled upwards, which is good, but the wings themselves are still curved, which is bad. I really don't see why Bandai couldn't have moulded the wings as one flat piece. Overall, the DX Alto should definitely have come with Super parts like Luca or Michael-- it's the configuration he flies with most often in the show, and the DX toy's flaws are mostly covered up with the Super parts.
  23. Well I hope their decision to make the SDF-1 doesn't blow up in their face, what with the economy and all. Then we can get to see a Spartan! I'm holding off getting any Destroids until I know I can get a full set, completist that I am.
  24. That's actually what happened when Guld disabled the limiters of the YF-21
