  1. Hmm.. it looks more like greenish khaki to me? Definitely not as dark as the Olive Drab that Yamato uses for its Destroid recolours. But I agree-- a CF VF-25 would look great!
  2. Ahh well. I've been doing that with blu-tac myself. But there really needs to be a tab there to hold the legs in place
  3. Which could themselves be homages to the F-15
  4. Hehe yea. The VF-11 must have one of the gentlest glidepaths in the history of flight. P.S.: On a more related note, I'll be going back to Sg soon so if any nice singaporeans got a good lobang and good price for this, pm me kae? thx
  5. No-- they obviously just re-coloured the animation for Michael's valk.
  6. Nice--- though looking at the shoulder number, it looks like all they did was re-colour Michaels valk
  7. Hmm.. but those 4 pipes would be obstructed by the attachment of reaction missiles, no? The chest things seem to big to be the additional cannons... but they could be paired with the arm things for a total of 4 guns again so that's probably my second guess.
  8. Well, at least SK has listened to your gripes, hence the VF-25 -- Backwards facing, but no butthead
  9. Warrhead-- The orange recolour could be an homage to the YF-15 prototype, as well as a variant of the original Prototype 3 colouring, while the red and blue could be an homage to the F-15 S/MTD. Either way, I actually think that the orange re-colour looks awesome, more so than the VF-X2 colours!
  10. They look great! This is with the glued engines, right?
  11. Hopefully the new recolors would fix the issue then. Could Graham possibly ask Yamato about the issue? Pretty please with a cherry on top? I pre-ordered a Orange and white YF-19 (the historical comparison to the YF-15 won me over) and I hope that it will turn out ok.
  12. Because maybe the otakus are the ones who will splash out large sums of money on products? You're making a pretty big assumption, which is that MacF targets the random kid on the street. But the late time that the show is aired, the inclusion of some risque scenes like the vibrator phone in the locker-- all these indicate that the target audience is that very same otaku from the very begining. Hence you shouldn't be surprised when all these products come out-- I mean, you can find this even for more populist animes like Bleach and Naruto-- and it doesn't seem to have adversely affected their target audience. Frankly, the anime industry is pretty mature, and I'd expect the executives to know where the money is. Maybe once (or if) Mac F attains the status of being a cult hit like SDFM then you will find T-shirts, etc-- just like they released during the launch celebration. Ultimately, I understand that you are non-plussed by the release of such items-- but if you are, you can easily ignore them and just not buy them. But you should also understand that this is a business, and if there is money to be made in boobie mousepads, or a Macross shaped vibrator like what I think REbirth is talking about , you can be sure that someone will be there to make them.
  13. Well they don't really have to worry about what happens at V-R on take off, given that it is a space fighter, do they?
  14. thanks alot! I've been waiting for the VF-0D for a long time Edit: Nice... I didn't know that the 0D could attach the Angel pack.. I hope that when Yamato releases their 0D it will be able to do so as well!
  15. Yep me too. Unfortunately the writers at Mac Chronicles don't go into as much detail as Mr March so we'll probably never know for sure. Looking through the translation more carefully, it seems that the Armoured Pack has the exact same number of boosters and maneuvering thrusters as the Super pack, despite being 12 t heavier. The acceleration is correspondingly decreased to 11.5G from 15G. Given other statements about the maneuverability of the VF-25 Armoured vs the VF-25 clean configuration, I guess we can posit that the insane thrust values for the VF-25's main engines are not normally used in the clean configuration-- that the engine is usually used at less than 1/2 of full thrust? Also, the translation allows us to check the accuracy of the VF-25S Armoured kit that is coming out soon--and the count of 16 chest missiles on the kit doesn't tally with the translation of 20 missiles in the chest pods I guess that means that we won't know the missile payload of the VF-25 Super by extension until the actual translations come out then.
  16. Exactly. At least these products show that MacF is popular, and may generate more funding/interest in the next Macross sequel, which is definitely good, regardless of your stand on these products. Princess Leia bikinis, anyone?
  17. It looks great man... I'm just cursing (well, not really) the large number of releases nowadays which prevents me from buying some destroids
  18. On the other hand, the YF-19 is high gloss-- even mirror-like-- as evidenced by Isamu looking at his own reflection

    VF/X-36

I'd say, keep it true to the design of the X-36-- which had only a single engine, therefore thrust in the middle.
  20. Haha David did you get it off F-16.net? IIRC one of the posters there said tt it looked like patchwork because it was not painted-- either that, or the maintenance for the F-22 is even poorer than I've read
  21. Amazing build up! My VF-25F is wondering why its own builder is so incompetent

    VF/X-36

Nice... I would buy it if it were made into a toy (and had the blue on white colour scheme)
