  1. No arguments there I hope the pre-order comes later though, to give my wallet a chance to rest.
  2. Thanks for the review, logos! Sad about the rocket booster-- I guess we wont be seeing a VF-11B Booster anytime soon then. Time to scratchbuild some with parts from the space shuttle!
  3. From what I remember from the anime, the VF-11s gunpod should be smaller, while the YF-19s should be bigger-- the GNU-DOU YF-19's gunpod might be following that of the 1/60 model though, which is on the small side.
  4. +1. I just got the notice from Overdrive mentioning the 1000 units limited edition-- and the price at 216 USD. Thats really high considering I placed my pre-order with a local shop at SGD 240--- or about USD 166. Pity about the YF-21 sale.. I would have ordered one!! Does anybody know how to search for Macross sales/discounts on HLJ?
  5. If anyone scans in the design of the base for the yellow stickers, could they post it in this thread? I'm sure quite a few people will be interested. Thanks again for the sticker tips, Biglizard GGemini I think the neck joint update is for the VF-25S, and will be released with the Armour pack version. The VF-25F looks fine with the present neck, IMO. UNSpacy Sorry to hear about the paint loss problem with the re-issues-- are the wings really straighter with this version as compared to the 1st edition?
  6. Probably these are resin prototypes? I mean, the original poster mentioned that they would be made of hard plastic and have clear canopies.
  7. I don't buy my toys because they are going to appreciate in value some day... I buy my toys so that I can appreciate them by playing with them and displaying them right now That also means that when a new and improved version comes along, I will heartlessly sell/give away the older versions for cash/space for the new ones-- hopefully before the older version drops in value too much. I'm cruel that way
  8. Congratulations! It really is a great build. TSP Did you use the F-18 tailplanes as the Canards ala F-15 S/MTD? Nice! Will you be modifying the exhaust nozzles as well?
  9. Nicely done! I think it looks just as nice, and the toy is even more posable now! Is that part more prone to falling off, though?
  10. Haha nice... you should let Bandai see this! You never know what could happen
  11. I wonder if the VF-25 could be modified to mount this:BGP-01β 55mm heavy quantum reaction beam gun pod / beam grenade Maybe it would show up in the movie. OTOH, I'm not sure if this: Ohto/Sentinel 57mm anti-warship anti-air rapid-fire swiveling beam turrets (found on the VF-25S APS-25A/MF25 Armored Messiah) is really a heavy weapon since we didn't see it really take out any warships. The calibre is same as that of the gunpod as well so I'm not sure how we can justify it's effectiveness. It could be another case like the YF-22S. I'm also not sure if we can classify itano-circus-allowing missiles as heavy weapons-- yes, combined they are pretty deadly at taking out multiple or single targets, but individually each missile is probably quite weak? That would be like saying that the gunpod is a heavy anti-ship weapon because if it fired off all its ammunition it could probably damage a ship? Still, I think this is a great effort by you which showcases how the writers try to emphasize different aspects of the weapon in order to differentiate them more
  12. Ironically, now that we know that authors choose odd numbers to make it sound natural, odd numbers will start sounding artificial to us (especially when they skip all the even numbered ships in between) . All the different designations are just a symptom of different people coming into the franchise and working on it, I think. Hopefully they will unify the designations some day.
  13. I think I'm getting a headache. They should do what the US did when they adopted the tri-service designation system for their aircraft and unify all these descriptions.
  14. With the fixed VF-0S that they just re-issued, I think the VF-0D should be fine-- at least we shouldn't see exploding shoulders I think
  15. Well, the VF-5000 like you mentioned, VF-19P, VF-1A Whale Hunter Custom, VT-1C, VA-3C, VF-17D, and the VF-22S as well, which is already coming out. I might have missed some.
  16. I sold both my Hikaru VF-1A and Roy VF-1S to fund my Roy VF-1S v2.
  17. You could check with Overdrive if someone canceled their order or something? Otherwise, you could wait for the movie release and hope that Bandai doesn't pull another exclusive on the movie release. Or-- if you absolutely have to get it for the current releases, you could PM me-- I have 2 sets of Alto Super parts and I'm considering whether to keep both or sell one. I'm not decided though.
  18. I wish Yamato would get it done and over with and announce their acquisition of the M7 and MD7 licenses for 1/60!! (If they have done so ) I wonder what they are waiting for?
  19. Ahh ok. I'm sorry then. I was just reading the old reviews on the site about the pre-production YF-21w/ Fast pack version and the VF-22S add-ons (which seemed pretty ready for production) and must have gotten the wrong idea-- afterall the VF-22S pieces were just the faceplate and the canopy replacement, which would have been included with the release at minimal cost, unlike the VF-19A which was an entirely new release.
  20. That Konig Monster actually fits in pretty well with the other destroids!
  21. Amazing poses! Master Dex: Nice.. heh it does look cool-- kinda like a ninja or something.
  22. That's dangerous talk man! I haven't even gotten one and I'm already considering multiples as well-- but I'll hold out until a Protect Armour or a Booster version is available. Especially a Booster version!
