Great little prop effect @electric indigo! Over here the BUFF is getting some decals today! Those lines on the rear were slightly stress inducing but I decided to take the discretion is the better part of valor, easy-er route and slice them up before applying... But they look EXACTLY like they are supposed to look so YAY me? Academy thinks you're going to do them in 2 parts... Yeh.... Right... LOL 😂

@M'Kyuun - Growing up in the 80's in Texas, I only had Robotech, GI Joe, Transformers and Voltron, so as a kid who didn't have any exposure to anything "international" growing up in the 80s (other than seeing odd Japanese model kits in old dusty hobby shops that I didn't really understand what they were, I was only looking for anything Robotech back then), I'm really enjoying the artwork being presented here. I love the detail in some of the landscapes pictured above. Keep em coming! -
When a drunken night between a YF-29 and a Legioss happens, THIS is the result....🤣🫣

Huzzah!!! 😁...... and on that momentous note.....I am now pleased to announce that.... now we have a battleship gentlemen! Primary hull painting DONE! (and gloss coated with Alclad Klear Kote). Definitely more user friendly to me these days than that Tamiya TS-13.

Great job as always @wm cheng!

Yeh, I hear you @M'Kyuun, my inner 10 year old boy watching Robotech every day after school is screaming "BUY IT!!!" - I still remember the birthday I got my first Gakken Blue Alpha Robo whatever is was called. Pure unadulterated JOY! 😍

I agree, I haven't ever gotten masking fluid to work for me either. I wish I could, especially on canopies.

I gotta say, I can't afford it, and even if I cooould afford it, I have ZERO space to put that BEAST, but it does look pretty darn cool in Soldier Mode with all the hatches opened up!

Yeh, I agree with @mechaninac here. Look how far these have come in just a very short time frame. In 5 years I can only imagine what will be possible. Crazy.

Same! Had no idea that odd black droid was anything other than something the model/prop makers dreamed up for that 1st scene at the droid sale! Awesome! -
Well.... probably not well. Arylics are very fragile in my experience. Speaking of which, so I hit the B-52 with Tamiya rattle can gloss clear and immediately wanted to cry. Never had it happen, but apparently (after some Googling) sometimes it will darken your paint about 3 shades which it did.. So now my beautiful 3 hours of work this morning is super dark grey and my pre-shade has all but vanished. Sometimes I hate this hobby. Very upsetting and I don't really know what to do about it 😔

Primer, pre-shade and painting of the BUFF this morning! Used Vallejo Acrylic Grey surface primer, fantastic stuff! No smell, water based and airbrush straight from the bottle. Also don't know why I don't hear more good things about Mission Models acrylics. They are fantastic! Water based, no smell, NO thinning, airbrush straight from the bottle, dead flat color and soooo easy to put on. Beats Tamiya acrylics by a country mile if you ask me.. 🤔 🙄
