@Papa Rat Brush painting?! You ARE a madman aren't you! There is something soothing and therapeutic about brush painting...to bad I completely SUCK at it and always just give up and break out an airbrush on anything other than the tiniest parts on things....Looking forward to seeing more! What paints are you using and what's your method?

@pengbuzz - Hey man, you 1000% married a GOOOD woman right there! We can bring our Cat's Eye's across the finish line together! In other news...actual progress was made over the past couple of days on the TOS Enterprise! More decals and detail painting today, but I am starting to get excited about finishing this one up!

Sunday morning projects..... In the words of Morpheus... "He's beginning to believe....", that the Moscato Cats Eye may actually turn into a half way decent display piece at some point! Mr Surfacer Black over the whole thing this morning because well, black hides a lot of things.. LOL... Also beginning to get a good feeling for the POS I mean TOS Enterprise.... LOL. 3rd side project, my buddy at work has been restoring a 93 Bronco and asked me if I could paint a 1/64 Greenlight Hot Wheels size white Bronco the color of his... Pretty happy with it so far! My 1st time attempting to repaint a Hot Wheels size anything!

@Papa Rat - I would be cautious of using decal softner on older 80's kit decals. Sometimes the chemistry of that stuff has a funny way of melting/ruining decals, even newer ones! Recommend you ALWAYS test it first on a spare decal you aren't going to be using on the kit if possible. I'm actually shocked you get water slides that old to come off the backing paper. My scout ship's decals were DOA on my kit, but hey, it's more anime accurate without them I suppose.

OK, you know what???.......I'm really kinda starting to like that Pose+ Legioss....someone PLEASE help me! Don't have ANY room for it (not to mention wife would prob hit me over the head with it for that kinda $$$!).....and judging from that picture of it in fighter mode, it might actually hurt or worse! 😂 That???? Or the Sentinel Re-release Legioss AND TLEAD for $500.......damn, who would have thought we'd be here back in the days of Toynami Masterpiece Alphas and Beta's 🫤

@Papa Rat - Chicken Walker is looking REALLY good! While I re-prime and get painting done on the Cat's Eye, I'm also going to finish up my LEAST favorite of all the 1/1000 Star Trek kits I started but never finished up last year. I've never been a fan of TOS ship design, but I got it for completionism sake. This kit is a nightmare when it comes to fit and seam lines. It's cursed I swear, everything that can go wrong has gone wrong just getting to this stage. It's an OOOLD mold, you can just tell, but I'm not gonna give up and hopefully I can turn it into something halfway decent to sit beside my other 1/1000 ST kits....Stay tuned.

RIP Ozzy! I can imagine Ozzy and Randy Rhodes jammin out together up there!

Academy F-15 E Strike Eagle 🦅 completed. Great kit. No fit issues. Highly recommended. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it came out. First time I tried a light color wash on a dark plane to pop out all the great surface details. I overdid the blend coat a bit right at the end and I shouldn't have put the bomb ordinance on until after the blend coat. I also should have masked off my engines so the flat coat didn't matte them down quite so much, but I am particularly proud of how good the canopy sealing and masking turned out! No overspray got inside and lines are tight! At this point it's time to STOP new kit construction and focus on kits that were started but never completed over the last few years due to life happening. The next project will be one familiar to long time readers here... It's time to finally finish off.. John Moscato's 1:72 Cat's Eye 🐈 👁️! This kit has lanquished faaaaar to long in the closet after several bad painting mishaps years ago. Time to get back to a little actual Macross modeling! 😁 Stay tuned!

Are you listening Arcadia???? I'd buy one!

@Papa Rat - Here's the link to Amazon for the stand Amazon.com: Stand for Model Airplanes for Display Making and Painting,Model Building Berth jig,Tray for Part of 1/72, 1/48(Grey+Swivel Base) : Arts, Crafts & Sewing Yes, it was a resin kit, my 2nd or 3rd, as I recall. I started out really small with a one-piece kit from Captain America, the tiny little Zentradi scout ship. From there I found about a 12 inch Super Star Destroyer which was only I think 2 parts along with the Zent flagship from a guy in Australia named Wayne Pugh who had some resin kits for sale on his website called Scale Solutions. It's still up but he no longer offers resin kits unfortunately! Highly recommend you do some watching of YouTube tutorials and or seek advice from the master himself @tekering from here before taking on high dollar larger resin kits! I think somewhere buried in the threads here I once typed up a basics "How To" guide for resin kits. Should still be in the forums somewhere, maybe I can dig it up. EDIT: - Found It!
