I think I focused on the presence of the dog for the same reason I do for Baby Yoda and Groot. I don't see such characters as real characters. But simply a manipulative ploy to make the audience go "aww".

I stand corrected! So there is a Birkoff Squad & a Reeman Squad?.... and an Unknown Red Shoulder squad? That's going to be expensive in the Hi-Metal R line!!! Bring it on! 🤗 and a Vorct Squad!? 😱

Macross Group Build 2026 SDF-1
Return To Kit Form replied to Return To Kit Form's topic in The Workshop!
Huge delay in updates but here is a what I have. The builds have super slow as Tse and I have both had to move houses. You can check his build on IG. -
In case of VF-25, isn't the canopy tinted in the anime and other official material? Anime accuracy is solid reason to do that

Return To Kit Form started following What will Hasegawa do next?

I think as modelers we over estimate how many cycles the molds used for plastic kits are put through. It is a fraction of what is possible when you consider how many cycles molds used for other household items (phone cases, brackets etc.). The only kit molds I have heard of being worn out are the are for a 1/72 109 kit (either Eduard or Arma, I fail to recall which) as they were aluminium and only good for 50 odd thousand shots. Steel molds last much longer than that but are far more expensive to make. Also molds aren't milled AFAIK. Rather Electro discharge machining is used. Atlantis acquired a lot of old Revell tools they stated that some had degraded to the point of being unusable even though they had been used once. Rust killed them over 50 years or so.

All things NASA & SpaceX. Past, Present & Future.
JB0 replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
They got the toilet fixed. After turning it off and on again. ... And then had problems connecting their tablets to Wi-Fi. "I have two Outlooks and neither one works." is now a sentence that was uttered across the gulf of space, as is "We're going to power-cycle the toilet." The future is dumb. Possibly the most mundane problems in the history of space exploration, which I guess is a good thing. Hopefully the working toilet means the number of times official mission transcripts include the phrase "there's a turd floating through the air" remains one. -

Seto Kaiba replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
Compared to today, Earth is rather sparsely populated in Macross after the First Space War. We see a number of emerging cities and towns in the aftermath arc of the original series, but thereafter we don't really get to see much of the planet aside from Macross City in Alaska. Presumably any housing that they put up for housing clones destined for emigrant fleets was either demolished or subsequently repurposed as regular housing for Earth's ever growing population. It's far from the only place to live in the solar system, though. There are space colonies at the LaGrange points, surface bases and cities on the moon and Mars, "satellite cities" orbiting Venus and several outer solar system gas giants, resource stations on various other moons etc. -
For those that have both, can we get some comparison pics in all 3 modes, of the Omega and the Sentinel Legioss toys, with a ruler included in the pic please to show size.

They’re really trying way too hard on this line. They had full costume, sleeveless and now shirtless. I don’t even want to know what the next one is. I still think it’s something they’d actually try

They had the budget to either get a rocket up or get a torpedo down. -
If it didn’t have the street walker heels, it would be even shorter

That would be nice, but since I display all of my Bandai valks in-flight it's not an issue for me. However: Can anyone explain Bandai's insatiable need to tint the canopies on their valks?
-
Here’s a size comparison between a Hi-Metal R and a ThreeZero Valkyrie. Its interesting how the Legioos and Hi-Metal are almost the same height in Battroid mode, but closer in size with the ThreeZero in Fighter mode.

Anyway, this release is as real-life jet a scheme that Bandai is making of a Macross VF. Isn't that a good thing? Now, if only they could also make the darn landing gears white.

Welp, so much for me not pre-ordering any more Bandai valkyries...

So, about that cloning program in Macross, so how empty is Earth? Given that you would need to house clones before putting them onboard colonization ships. -
Agreed. I thought the same thing. It would have been a better representation of Optimus Prime. And yet I do really enjoy the goofy looking Sentai vehicle it ended up as.
