Note that the Legioss foot configuration is not the same for diver and soldier modes. The Toyrise appears to have more limited foot articulation that doesn't allow the front of the foot to splay out and flatten in diver mode as it typically would. It also looks like the heel cannot be extended back like the Sentinel does with a slider mechanism. Compare the Toyrise to Sentinel below, pic courtesy of Jenius' site I see no reason why you couldn't leave the feet configuration and use it diver for soldier as well and I doubt it would negatively affect balance. It just wouldn't be accurate to how the feet are supposed to be configured and look for soldier, which is the heel flipping down and not extended back like for diver. Using the diver feet configuration for soldier would also reduce the height of the figure and the figure is pretty small as is being smaller than the Sentinel.

Yes, it's the same kit. I sort of lost track of this build last year and I hadn't posted an update on it for a while. I was documenting the build here and there, and I'll probably have another video done soon.

Genuinely appreciate the offer. But, since I have the original release, I resolved not to buy the new one unless I saw it in a store. The reports of QC issues are making me glad I went that route instead of buying one online.- 18232 replies

What I'm wondering is, instead of configuring the front foot and heel like this for soldier: ...configure it like how it looks here in diver for soldier mode. Balance issues maybe?: There's another pose where you can kinda see the inner part of the foot joint mechanism.

I'd just cross my fingers and hope that all copies of that one were lost in the war. ... a few of those you might be able to get away with. 😅 There's a city named Broken Arrow in Oklahoma, for instance, and we know they name ships and classes after municipalities still (e.g. Northampton, Uraga, Brampton). You could probably get away with Hunter's Moon too... we've had Silver Moon and Red Moon. There've been a few warships named Chameleon already. A few named Legion too. Star Runner doesn't sound too out of place either. Kickboxer wouldn't even look that out-of-place... the US and British navies have had a BUNCH of ships named Boxer (and yes, the original ship was named for the sport). I'd be worried about a ship named the Hard Boiled. That seems like they'd cause a lot of unnecessary property damage. In the wise words of Radiohead... "You do it to yourself, you do. And that's what really hurts." -
Appreciate your indulgence. Seems I understood you just fine. I just figured there had to be more to your criticism. I'm not pulling out the pitchfork for ~15 degrees of delta.

I got that black AFC-01X Alpha on preorder. I wish I had done the same for the blue Legioss Omega one.

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!

They don't know, because the sales records were destroyed in the bombardment. Edit:: And I've nerd-sniped myself. I've spent the last couple hours imagining the Stealth-class frigates being named after pre-war movies, and which movies would be great or terrible. Like, who wouldn't want to be on the NUNS Kickboxer? That's just an awesome name. Or the NUNS Phantom Menace. But NUNS Broken Arrow? Heck naw, you'll never hear the end of the unsecured weapons jokes. The NUNS Die Harder? What does that even mean?! Maybe NUNS Independence Day, but I want the the ID4 to be a New Macross-class. We need this name attached to something with a really big gun. Also, Independence Day isn't nearly as cool after the aliens have ACTUALLY laid waste to your homeworld. And then I realized the timeline allows for an NUNS Goldmember, and I wept at the wound I have inflicted upon myself. . -

I find it a bit hard to trust Henry Cavil. Not so much on his principles, but that he probably won’t be around to finish a project. Then again he usually had good reasons for ditching those projects, just too bad that he seems to attract bad projects that sound great at first

^^Still the same issue. Ideally, the front light-grey part of the foot should angle forward more, so that the foot doesn’t have so much of a high-heel arch. As has been said before, it’s probably a design compromise to keep the price down. In a perfect world, they’d design the whole foot assembly to collapse into the leg more. It makes for a cleaner, compact fighter mode and helps to stabilize the feet in the other modes by allowing the heel to sink a little into the leg cavity.
