  1. Past hour
  2. I wanted to see how this light blue looked, to me it looks more like a pale green and then I went with azure blue , which turned up as kind of a grey blue. I really wasn’t sure how either color would turn out and figured if nothing else, it’d be interesting together. i may use that light blue that I swear is pale green on a gm custom from 0083 at a later time
  3. I have yet to see anyone successfully disassemble that disaster. The leg is screwed and glued in every way imaginable, and you're far more likely to break it into a hundred pieces than actually get it apart. I can't say the method doesn't exist, but it might take some very creative sawing and drilling to get the pieces apart in anything resembling their original shape. The best case is probably breaking it apart without distorting the parts so you can at least get measurements for what it should look like.
  4. Primed and base coated the Arii 1/100 VF-1S . I added a few little details here and there to this simple kit. I didn’t invest too much time into it so far. I just want to have this be a fun/loose experimental build. I went with a red/purple color base color instead of my usual mahogany that I have been enjoying. Not sure how the white top layer is going to like it. Hope it doesn’t give off a “who put a red shirt in the white load of laundry” look. Ya know what I mean? Anyway, soon we will see.
  5. Worse comes to worse, there’s always adhesive putty.
  6. Looking good @Big s !!! I love the colors you chose and can’t wait to see the pilot looking out once you finish it up. 👍
  7. Today
  8. To get things back on topic, here are a couple of very quick attempts to "realify" the scheme. Got rid of the red (though I still kept some orange, just for flair 😉), thinned out the wing stripes, added the back "sword", and colored the ankle guards. Then did a slight tweak with some orange gills and an added stripe on the back. Nothing spectacular, but something to move it in a realistic direction. Have to admit, after going to the museum, I'm tempted to try a silver and red scheme like that T6 Texan in the middle of the group shot, but we'll see how much time I get over the next few days.
  9. I’m pretty certain I can fabricate those connectors. I’ll PM Perxion and see if we can work out something.
  10. Still taking my time on this since the deadline passed. Did a basic assembly to see if my rough camo looked a bit cohesive. I think it’s ugly, but works for that trashy Machinen Krieger kinda look. Plus any overly messy spots I think will just blend in with the heavy weathering I plan to give it. I still plan on some stripes here and there and of course decals. I just wanted to see how things looked in a basic assembly for now.

  12. Oof, no, those are the pylons that come with the Legioss. Maybe making more of those for the kit would be an option? The hard part is probably finding a material that'll have the right properties to attach correctly without breaking.
  13. Can you explain what else would be needed? Are these connectors sold somewhere else? Thanks!
  14. @Perxion Email has been sent! Thank you for putting this together, the kit looks amazing. MB
  15. Maybe if you're talking purely about developing new products? But if they have the choice of using their production space for something they (think they) can sell in a (theoretically) untapped market? Yeah, they're going to cater to the place that might theoretically actually bring in new customers. Otherwise, there's no explanation for why their releases for the past couple of years now have mostly played out like a greatest hits collection that everyone in Japan probably has multiples of by this point. We're obviously never going to see any data, but I would be really curious to see the sales numbers of all these re-pops based on region.
  16. Weirdly enough, I never had such an issue. But then again, I didn't keep it long enough to notice many (or any) problems. I sold it along to someone almost as soon as I snapped it together.
  17. Please Bolt Send me an email with your request ( same for everyone want a Kit) Thank you!
  18. Thanks Ted
  19. Tbh, I've transformed my RG zeta a few times and I've never had a problem with it. Now the RG Sinanju was quite bad. That required a lot of reinforcing to stabilize the torso enough that it could even stand on its own.
  20. Same experience here with loose joints too. Also, the hip / waist lock keeps wanting to slide back up whenever I move the toy, it is pretty annoying. There's the criticism of Sentinel Tread's lower legs, but now I'm reminded their Legioss also has the nearly the same issues. There's no lower leg rotation, and ankle range feels very limited. It's a challenge to find some nice poses without having the feet looking dislocated or at some weird angle..
  21. Yup.. Back then I wasn't really familiar with Gunpla - I happened to come across a modeling exhibition by a local distributor, and at that moment felt the urge to obtain a kit of an old transforming Gundam toy I used to have as a kid (found out much later it was a ZZ). The RG Zeta was the only one I found there that came close enough to what I remember of that toy, so I went home with it and if memory serves, built it much later. Although it didn't handle well after I was done, I do remember being impressed that no glue or paint was needed, unlike my very limited modeling experience when I was like perhaps just 11, being given a model kit of a car, and then could only afford the cement and couple of paint colors after skipping some lunches.
  22. I knew that Powered Convoy came with a buggy that Ultra Magnus didn't, but how did the one they're adding to Ultra Magnus get the name "Deerstalker?"
  23. Yes, essentially Deerstalker is Ultra Magnus' version of roller. The Diaclone version of Magnus was called "Powered Convoy" was an upgraded Convoy unit with a new trailer, weapons, and a new transforming car called "Powered Buggy". Here is a pictures of the Japanese advertisements from tfwiki. For some unknown reason there was never an official Transformer release of powered buggy with Ultra Magnus. I am really hoping they do a Diaclone colors (Delta Magnus) in Missing link soon.
