M'Kyuun Posted yesterday at 09:41 AM Posted yesterday at 09:41 AM We're losing so many of our 70s and 80s film icons. They're only mortals like the rest of us but given the breadth and profundity of their impact on culture, it always seems harder to see these folks pass on. Godspeed, Mr. Duvall, and thanks for all the memorable performances. Quote
505thAirborne Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago So many wonderful performances by this gifted actor, The God Father, Apocalypse Now, Network and others. One of my favorites... OPEN RANGE. RIP Robert Duvall. Quote

Godspeed, Mr. Duvall, and thanks for all the memorable performances. There haven’t been as many memorable characters or movies recently and I think that’s why the older actors tend to stand out. Unfortunately no one is immortal yet, so the greats are immortalized by their works Quote

My mother's generation it was Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable and James Cagney. For the generation after us these actors are our equivalent of Leigh, Gable, and Cagney. I did not know that was Duvall playing the character in Apocalypse Now. Indeed he did make a great impression. Quote
