The VFs really look really small, but perhaps it's just my old eyes not being able to focus & catch up now lol. Potentially the big issue is that there doesn't seem to be enough visual distinction between objects that you can interact with and those that are just pure background stuff. For eg, in the early part of the video, there's all sorts of asteroids flying around and I really thought one have to avoid slamming into them. I don't know how it will work digitally though, would there be two versions on steam? The game is currently listed on steam already so will it be patched in? This is probably going to be a "I own another Macross game" instead of something I'd want tonplay much. I'd wager Scramble Valkyrie is still the best Macross shmup. Somehow, the illustrations of the valks in the special book caught my eye. Going by the 3D renderings of the YF-19 & Fz-109 for all 3 forms, there doesn't appear to be much (if at all) anime magic going on between modes.
