Figuarts Zero appears to have evolved a bit to be these diorama-esque figures, to justify their prices these days. I actually feel the PuP line is a bit meh price vs quality wise in comparison to modern prize figures. I just wish the skin tones have some, even if slight, shading on them. But then again, prize figures have volumes behind them riding on hot properties of the season, whereas PuP looks to be for older IPs based on casual observation. I'm guessing the other L-size ones weren't selling well - people rather get the normal sized ones, so Good Smile pivoted L-size to be unique figures now. Quote

Could very well be right. Their way to convert the PuP market to start buying the bigger and more profitable one. Edited August 5, 2024 by Raikkonen Quote

Personally, I’d prefer the pants on version, but it’s not something that would matter as much if there was a good sized tachikoma for her to ride in Quote

hachi Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Went to the World of Shirow Masamune exhibit and got these: T-shirt, mug, stickers, and artbook. Was on strict budget as it was only day 2 of 6 of my Japan trip so couldn't buy any more. Also found this in Uniqlo. Quote
hachi Posted July 31 Posted July 31 (edited) Here's a video in English with some of the stuff you could buy at the exhibition. Actually you are not allowed to take videos but they did quick short shots of the venue. You could only take photos with a phone camera. Though most of the pages had glass protection and you'd get glare. I only took pictures of the ones that really interested me. I mostly ignored the non-GITS stuff. Although I’d probably be more interested in the pants on version. Quote

I never got this pantless outfit in first gig, and was so happy to see the change in second gig. And yeah, me too regarding Jin Roh!!! Quote

I think they were trying to have a bit of the manga/ movie aesthetic, but in the show it just seemed awkward that she’s the only person in town walking around in a thong. That and she’s always around business types or military or family people and no one thinks this one woman is anything but a hooker. The Manga kinda had a lot of people in questionable outfits and it sorta fit the society. Much less in the movie and totally out of place in the show. As Far as that Protect Gear, I have no complaints about that one. Totally Awsome and absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on it Quote
