Now that is how you end a season and leaving the fans hanging on for the next one!! 1923 was awesome, hate to see it end but a damn good show all the way through. HBO's THE PITT, by far the best thing on right now, I highly recommend it. Yep on the first two! We'll probably watch THE PITT soon as my wife loves medical dramas. As for Yellow Jackets I expect them to get use Sophie Thatcher moar as she is gradually becoming a lead star in movies.

Big s Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Started watching The Bondsman on Amazon with Kevin Bacon. The episodes are an easy thirty minutes and got up to episode 3 so far. It’s pretty fun kinda like a redneck version of Evil Dead. He plays a bounty hunter that gets killed during a job and basically goes to hell, but gets resurrected to hunt down demons that have escaped into our world. If you’re short on time and looking for a fun not so complicated show to fill a few minutes, then it might be something to add to a watch list
TangledThorns Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Yeah but whatever, lol. HBO Max is still one of the better streaming service imho. Even better with the Max/Hulu/Disney+ bundle too.
505thAirborne Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Anyone else watching "MobLand" on Paramount? Tom Hardy is so good in this series.

Yup, got spoiled with Tom Hardy double duty, he's got the new series on Paramount, and he had a new movie on Netflix. Mobland is great, I miss Taboo.

I think it’s going by the movie timeline rather than the book or old series, and those kids didn’t come into the story till the 80’s in the movie timeline and didn’t have their adult showdown till modern times

These kids could make it out, they're not from the books, and they aren't mentioned in the two reboot movies, a few of them could get away, the kids in the main films already mentioned other kids in the past learned of and survived Pennywise.

That’s kinda what I was figuring, still not gonna expect a happy ending

Thom Posted May 24 Posted May 24 (edited) Wheel of Time - cancelled.... https://ew.com/the-wheel-of-time-canceled-after-3-seasons-at-prime-video-11741261 I know it was contentious, they messed with the story in the first season and it only improved a bit in the second, but By the Light, was the third season so damn good - so they must certainly cancel it! And part of the reason was it's hefty price tag?! Excuse me, they kept Rings of Power at a price tab of 1 Billion!? Not a big fan of it, I like RoP enough, but between the two WoT was so much better! Especially season 3. Even if it had never improved past that, it still made RoP look like a stink pile. Just goes to show another example of executive stupidity. There're saving me money though. Makes me think twice about paying for Prime Video and there is certainly no reason now to buy the first two season on DVD. So, thanks amazon, I guess... Edited May 24 by Thom
TangledThorns Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Half-way through MobLand and its a really good crime series. Amps it up to 11 after the first episode by pushing you in to the deep of the pool and the stellar cast with Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and more are awesome in it as well.

Old_Nash_II Posted June 1 Posted June 1 It deserved to go to the cinema. And I hope it is as Mary Shelley described it in the book.

Just to bring Dexter back, again, after "dying" in the sequel series that was supposed to neatly wrap up the original series, now he's back alive and just doing it all again? Okay.
Thom Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Dept Q. on Netflix. Starring Matthew Goode, last seen (by me) in Abigail and A Discovery of Witches. A gruff, hard bitten English inspector in Scotland given charge of a new cold case department. Quirky characters and never-do-wells abound!
TangledThorns Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Half-way through DUSTER on HBO Max. Fun retro-like series and Josh Holloway is great as usual. Recommended.

I’m probably gonna have to check it out on my own. I showed my lady the preview and she seemed very unimpressed. I thought she’d be more excited since she was really into Lost and I figured since that guy was in that show that she’d at least give it a shot.
