southpaw
Was there a review comparison between ver 2. vs ver 1. I tried looking wasn't able to find video or pic comparison. Thanks
jenius
I put this together a while back.... it's been pointed out that I scored the old releases pretty high compared to the newer ones but if you click the individual links you should be able to get the big picture. Sorry, I didn't bother with a straight v1 vs v2 comparison. http://anymoon.com/blog/2008/09/22/vf-1-to...omparison-post/
Wicked Ace
For the as-appears-on-screen conscious collectors, the first version of the 1/60 scale VF-1S is preferable.

mickyg
For the as-appears-on-screen conscious collectors, the first version of the 1/60 scale VF-1S is preferable. LOL for real here! Southpaw - the head sculpt on the v1 1/60 is atrocious. I think you'll get that if you have a look at Jenius' excellent review he linked to. Jenius, those reviews of yours are amazing and very much appreciated!
UN Spacy
For the as-appears-on-screen conscious collectors, the first version of the 1/60 scale VF-1S is preferable. It never gets old...

treatment
Funny thing is I have one of these monstrosities but haven't got around to buying any of the version 2 VF-1 Valkyries. hehehe! better retire it already since you are aware that the real 1/60 Max-1S is still part of the HLJ-sale, right? http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00128 Edited December 23, 2009 by treatment

Vi-RS
I put this together a while back.... it's been pointed out that I scored the old releases pretty high compared to the newer ones but if you click the individual links you should be able to get the big picture. Sorry, I didn't bother with a straight v1 vs v2 comparison. http://anymoon.com/blog/2008/09/22/vf-1-to...omparison-post/ I must say that jenius did a great job to point out the difference between V1 and V2. V1 was amazing when it first came out 10 years ago, my jaw drops when I first seen the pictures because finally after 15 years there is someone really care about VF-1 and did a great toy out of it. Still remember the prototype pictures when it first came out? The 2nd generation 1/48 VF-1 is much more superior in term of size, transformation and proportion. Then last year we have the best VF-1 toy, V2 announced, and it's by far the best toy representative of VF-1 except size. It's far more superior than 1/48 with the latest technology put into it. Here are the comparison of 1/48 and V2. http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_049/index.html

You pretty much covered everything Jenius. Thanks again.
Hoptimus
Not to cause too much necromancy but I never got a 1/60 v2. Seems like if I don't transform mine much at all and currently am happy with my Yamato VF-1 V1 Max and Milia then I don't need a V2?

Seems like if I don't transform mine much at all and currently am happy with my Yamato VF-1 V1 Max and Milia then I don't need a V2? I was like you too. Then in July I picked up the VF-1D and got hooked. So many accessories gimmicks and detail. I have 9 V2's now since July. HLJ sales have helped. Hoptimus
LOL! Ahh. Did they make a Max VF-1A TV version in the 1/60 v2? Then I would get one.
kanedaestes
They did, they made the whole tv vermillion sqaud as well as TV Focker. Also one of my current "unicorns", the Zentradi Uniform to fit over the valk like Max wore. If anyone who happened to snag one is thinking of let it go PM ME NOW! ff95gj
If you like the Battroid mode, you can't go wrong with v2. Or if you like the Gerwalk mode. Oh hell, get the v2. It is superior in every way, except for diecast parts.
