I'm not clicking on anybody's spoilers, in case I haven't gotten there yet, so if I don't reply, that's why.

Do you have

Legion

yet? If yes, you can read my spoilers and perhaps answer my question. :)

For all you people that made a New Game Plus option in ME1 (where you did the game over again with the same character to up the level) which of the options did ME2 use when you imported into the game?

I made some choices in this game that I'm going to go back and change for when ME3 comes out and I want to know if I can New Game Plus my current character and do the changes that way.

No. I've (accidently) seen that term mentioned on a forum, but have tried hard NOT to find out what it is. And until you posted it, I had no idea that "whatever it is" can be acquired by your party, so when it shows up, now it's spoiled that I'll eventually get it.

Not much of a spoiler if you don't know what it means. :)

Its not a very big spoiler, either. Not even sure you can consider it such, its not a major plot point. I am not there yet, myself.

question about the skill/upgrades....

is skill re-assign worth using or just keep leveling?

Depends. Do you like your skills? Plus, eezo is not that hard to come by. I reskilled once; once I got a handle on what the abilities did I wanted to change it up,

I just had a really cool choice. I was like "I can't believe they're actually letting me choose, and that my choice will actually affect the game this way". Let's just say I chose a very renegade option. :D

Very minor spoiler: it was during

Samara's loyalty mission

Yeah, be careful with that, LOL.

You mean Mordin? It gets even better as you get deeper into the game.

I agree. His loyalty mission brought some very interesting topics to mind and has given me many quotes to keep repeating to myself during long work hours :)

Can anyone suggest some good Paragon side-missions? I've really not done that much exploring and all the side missions I've done are in direct relation to squadmate's loyalty missions. The only one that I've done that wasn't involving the plot or squad in any way was a sinking ship falling into a planet. Anyone have any others I can do to up my paragon score?

I dunno, I've done all of them, and I maxed out a while ago (as Commando with only 70% bonus).

Game over, Paragon ending went exactly as I expected. My entire team made it through.

Just a heads up, you won't be able to buy all of the upgrades in one playthrough. I think I still had 2 or 3 left to buy, and I started out with 100k because of my ME1 save. I did ALL of the side content.

Final game time was over 40 hours.

Man... I hate that EA has it's own account. I forgot that I had made an older EA account linked to my gamertag and I registered my bioware account to a new EA account and subsequently can't synch it to my gamertag because that's linked to my old EA account.

I emailed and asked that my old account be deleted.. but this is just such a needless hassle. The gamertag was supposed to get rid of stupid multi-account poo like this

Starting a new save (for my "perfect" ME3 Paragon starter save) with a level 30 ME2 save file gave me a bonus talent of my choice, 200k Credits, 50k of each Resource, all of my armor, and all of my weapons. I cannot yet confirm whether my bought upgrades are all still in place, though, or whether I have to purchase them all again. I do know that everything I bought for my captain's quarters are all gone.

Some fish just die easier. Or I wonder if OVER-feeding them kills them too? But regardless, the ones with the fancy fins keep dying. (the other ones died too, but they lasted a LOT longer--and I fed them EVERY time).

Still annoyed at how few armor bits there are--and half are just modifications of the basic N7 version. I doubt there'll be many, if any, more before I win. Also--why isn't BLACK an option for the stripes? Sure, you can put any color of stripes on black armor, but I'd like to have black stripes or camo on colored armor, to kind of "cut" the amount of color. (with all the black webbing, gloves, etc you can achieve a 60/40 split or so). You can get some very cool effects by trying the "opposite" color choices, as the pattern and basic colors don't quite match many times, and make a cool effect. It's most noticeable with blues. You can make a billion different variations of blue camo by trying different combinations of base color vs pattern color.

Also, I was very stupid and accidently "sent the salvaged item to Cerberus". I realized pretty soon thereafter that that was actually NOT the best solution, so I had to replay almost an hour to get back to that point from the last save and try again. That is a BIG thing you don't want to miss, yet it's very easy to.

PS---yes, once I tried to make the girliest armor possible. Bright pink, with lavender and white. :p (and I fought Blood Pack mercenaries in it) :D

I wonder if it's because they want you to buy the Dr Pepper promotion thing. I got a helmet out of it

I have yet to see a helmet I want, especially as they cover up the face in conversations. I really want different leg armor that's not "giant bulky angular boots". And smaller shoulder armor---a lot of it has the problem that DA:O had in that there were serious polygon clipping issues whenever the arm moved.

PS---I am glad to know now that the last possible spoiler I might have seen on some forum---was completely wrong. (though it could have been cool, in several ways) (I'm one of those people that hate people even guessing on spoilers, because someone's always right, and then it becomes a retroactively-correct spoiler later----yet people still start threads in the non-spoiler sections of forum with titles full of them)

PPS----some of the best dialogue in the game is from the game salesman (salessalarian?) on the citadel. There's a zillion comments, I haven't heard a repeat yet. Best one so far:

"Have you seen that Asari-Hanar porn game from the Akihabara colonies? It's just plain nasty". That's not a direct quote, but that's the gist of it.

Anyone heard anything on how different the endings are? Because I may have to keep avoiding ending spoilers until I beat it with a Paragon who takes an un-upgraded Normandy with just a few disloyal people. :) (luckily, that should make for a short playthrough)

(I still haven't won, but should have within 24 hours)

PS---what's the "starting from scratch" canon status on Wrex? Man, ME 3 is going to have to have like 9 different endings to account for stuff from ME 1, especially with some choices you make in ME 2. (I don't know if I doomed a certain species or it'll lead to their salvation---or possibly war with the humans) :)

Visually speaking, not alot different, story wise VERY different. Starting from scratch, Shepard is a xenophobic male who made all the renegade decisions in ME1. Humans dominate the council, the Rachni are dead, and Wrex is dead.

Here be ye ol' spoilers for ME3:

Paragon: With the help of

the reborn Rachni, free Geth, and united Krogan

, Shepard leads the forces of Citadel space against the Reapers.

Renegade: With the help of

Geth, Prothean/Collector, and Reaper technology

, Shepard leads the dominant human forces against the Reapers.

When I say "leads", I mean in the way he has in ME1/ME2. As we've all seen, not everyone listens to him, no matter what he's done. :)

I have to say, the Renegade story is playing out to be far more fascinating than the Paragon story. Humans has basically gone from developing sub-light travel to

working with Reaper technology

in the span of a century. What are the consequences of this

huge leap in advancement

, and what impact (beyond what we've seen) will it have on the rest of the galaxy?

This is precisely what the Reapers have been working to control/prevent (per Sovereign's speeches during ME1). "We impose order on the chaos of organic evolution." Humans have clearly broken the cycle.

I don't get it. Do you mean MMO?

I suspect it's a jab at ME moving away from being a traditional RPG and being more of an interactive shooter with a deep plot.

Anyway... finished the game (paragon) last night. Very epic, but I wish it had been longer. Can't wait for the next one. ...Off to start another game (paragon again, but playing it a little differently). And then I'll probably give renegade a try.

It's an oh so clever pun from the cadre of RPG purists who think RPG refers to a combat system and not to a type of story where the actions and decisions of the player affect the plot and the development of the characters.

It could also just be a really neat pun. Also, this came from a pen'n'paper forum, so maybe it has to do with that instead of anything more sinister or snarky.

That's my point. When ME was released there was howls of outrage from dice fans who insist that an RPG can only be an rpg if the combat is decided by dice (real or virtual) and that actions should be queued up and combatants stand around waiting for the their turn to do something.

these guys insisted back then and continue to insist that ME is not an RPG

That's why I've never gotten into rpg's I have to wait in order to attack. Also the fact that your actions no real effect on story or the world.

Also the conversation between garrus and tali on the citidel made me laugh .
