Exsedol
Yup, max and milia flew them during the badolza fleet battle. The only armored valkyrie we see is a vf-1j aswell. I'd gave liked to have seen an armored vf-1s
Zinjo
The Super Valkyrie was one with FAST Pack missile launchers/boosters. If you mean Strike Packs, then I believer those were only reserved for the VF-1S variants of the Valkyries...

Warmaker
FAST Pack equipped VF-1J's? In SDF:M... Hikaru's white / red VF-1J in space. Namely the one where he escorts Misa's shuttle to Earth. The one where he does morse code with his exterior lights, salutes, and banks away. Thankfully, the art quality was top notch this episode also! Max & Millia's specially colored VF-1Js do get the FAST Packs towards the series' end. In DYRL?, I think there was a single VF-1J but it was an Armored Valk, not FAST Pack equipped, and it wasn't flown by Hikaru. VF-1J's were extremely rare in DYRL? to begin with. Strike FAST Packs were also only shown in DYRL?. Edited October 27, 2007 by Warmaker

I always thought in that particular episode, "Booby Duck", that he was flying the VF-1S as he was promoted to Skull Leader after Roy's death in SDF:M. Jeremy007
that was my understanding as well. The scene with the morse code, where hikaru is escorting Misa...Hikaru is flying a super 1S

connor99
Yep. 2 of 'em in fact. Max & Miria Also, there may have been many others that just never got any screen time I agree. In episode 27 during the final battle with BODOLZAA's fleet, every VF-1 in orbit around the earth was outfitted with FP's. There had to be at least one pilot during that particular battle that was flying a 1J, besides MAX n' MILIA. eugimon
Yeah, I thought the same thing????? the statement was that the only armored valk we've seen is the 1j, the statement specifically differentiated it from the FAST packs.
Zinjo
the statement was that the only armored valk we've seen is the 1j, the statement specifically differentiated it from the FAST packs. Huh? Not sure what you are addressing there...? "Super" Valks are typically describing Valks with the FAST Pack micro missile launchers. "Strike" or "Super Strike" is used to describe the Strike FAST pack seen in DYRL "Armored" is typically used to describe the GBP system deployed to enhance the weaponry of Valks in ground operations (they aren't exclusive to that role, but that is what the system was designed for). Every Valk version is able to use the FAST packs, only the VF-1S variant is seen to use the Strike FAST Packs in DYRL and every version of Valk can use the "Armored" or GBP system, but only the VF-1J is featured in SDFM. If I recall correctly other variants of valks were seen to be using the GBP system in "Call to Arms"... Yes Hikaru did take over Roy's gold VF-1S in the SDFM, he was given his own VF-1S (with his own colors) in DYRL. when he assumed command of the Skulls. I was clarifying that "armored" and fast pack do not refer to the same thing: Yup, max and milia flew them during the badolza fleet battle. The only armored valkyrie we see is a vf-1j aswell. I'd gave liked to have seen an armored vf-1s to which: I thought that was Fockers 1s being operated by Hikaru? And I responded that the armored valk shown in the series was hikaru's 1j. And since some people weren't following the terminology, confusion ensued. Edited October 27, 2007 by eugimon
jenius
It gets even more confusing because the Fast Packs are called "Super Veritech Armor" by Toynami: Yes, an "Armored Valk" should be the common way of referring to a Valk equipped with GBP, a Super Valk should be a Valk with Fast Packs, and a Strike Valk should be a Valk with Strike Cannon. ruskiiVFaussie
Yeah to this day coz of RT i still classify a non strike Dual Missile Ordnance'd FP equipped Valk a "Super" Just not Super Veritech, lol Even though i hate RT for the people behind it, i still like Veritech as a name. Valkyrie being the best of course. Look on HLJ.com they classify it as Super too.. Edited October 28, 2007 by ruskiiVFaussie

Stratagos
hello, Created a 3d model of a VF-1 CannonFolder with fastpacks. First appearance of the VF-1 with fastpacks was in episode 24 "Showdown", I believe. Where Misa returns to the United Earth Headquarters and Hikaru uses the Super VF-1 to hold off the Zentreadi. Major Focker
I just realized that Hikaru never flew a Super VF-1J in DYRL and that I may have wasted a couple of weekends hunting down a model kit for that. But in that DYRL scene where Max dueled with Miriya (they're romantic that way), was Hikaru flying a 1J or a 1A?

Lonewolf
There's an Armored VF-1J shown in the initial battle. Yup, I think they reused the exact same footage during the final battle with Boldoza. Aside from that, no VF-1J in DYRL.

No. No footage from the TV series was re-used. You can see the VF-1J is clearly not recycled. It even has the proper hands.
