Tentacle Hentai Comes To Live-action

Take a moment and think of all the movies that could be improved by the inclusion of tentacles. Hell, I’d even tolerate another Big Momma’s House sequel if it featured random victims being invaded by slimy hidden appendages (I mean, these people are already in a Martin Lawrence fat-suit movie, so any further humiliation seems inconsequential). The Japanese are aware of this tactic, and I think it’s past time other countries got wise to this peculiarly satisfying marketing strategy.

And so we’re getting a new live-action adaptation of Wicked City. The futuristic story, based on Hideyuki Kikuchi’s manga, involves a conspiracy to end the peace between our world and a parallel dimension populated by monsters. The tentacled tale was previously put into motion in Yoshiaki Kawajiri’s anime and a 1992 live-action Hong Kong production, which I know I’ve seen even though the only detail I can recall is some kind of demon guy flying around on top of a 747.

Germany's Stallion Film is behind the new $50 million production, with FX guru and Spawn helmer Mark A.Z. Dippé co-writing and directing the squirming sci-fi horror show. And while you may recall how Spawn really sucked, Dippé’s follow-up Frankenfish was surprisingly fun low-budget monster schlock most notable for its quality carnage, special effects work and a delectable bikini-clad China Chow.

Oy.....

Nothing wrong with hentai so long as you understand what you are getting into and deliberately consent to watch it. H isn't for everyone and it never should be, it is a niche market for adults, period. Don't like it, don't watch it.

Another WC remake? Hm, I say pointless they already have the live action H version which IMO is good enough. The anime by Kawaijiri was excellent, so I highly doubt they will improve on what's already created, regardless of the technological advances. ;)

Get a new idea. <_<

There's already been a live action version, and Wicked City the anime was pretty light on the tentacle rape (in fact, I don't recall there being any at all, but it's been years since I've seen it).

"Wicked City" aka "Supernatural Beast City" Didn't have tentacle rape. The demons had tentacles but they were their weapons, not their "organs"...

There's already true live action tentacle rape. La Blue Girl live action anyone?

I've seen it. It really is nothing like the anime, very tame (which most live action adult titles are, in Japan).

I love Wicked City, it's one of my all time favorite anime movies.

I hated the HK live action version, although Michelle Reis was very cute in it (as usual).

I hope in this new live action movie, the main character uses a custom .454 Casull revolver like in the anime.

Ohhh, okay. So it's Hentai that's the dirty stuff, and Sentai that's the family-oriented 5-super-hero-team action show stuff? I'm guessing there's a more obvious differentiation in the native Japanese? Otherwise, could make for some potentially awkward and embarrassing situations for somebody, say a tourist, in a Japanese comic/video shop... :p

*in somewhat broken Japanese* "...er, excuse me please, I'm looking for some of those wonderful [animated porno] tapes for my kids. They've always loved the action in those shows, and I buy them lots of those neat toys."

*angry guy behind counter* "hey! fu-- off, you pervert!"

There already is a live action tentacle rape movie, the original Evil Dead, ok yes it was the forest that raped the girl but same effect.

Yeah, the Japanese call hentai "ecchi" for "H".

I think the movie will hinge on who they cast as the old man/diplomat with the white hair. I think that role will be the crucial part that will make or break the film.

Nooo ... the movie will hinge on the spider-woman scene.
