  1. Probably, the manga opens with the Megaroad leaving Earth, but who knows... Next stop should be Mars Base, right?
  2. I prefer battroid to fighter, so I agree. This third book, however, clearly has more battroid and gerwalk pics than the other two and that's why I liked it so much. For those that don't already own it, this means: - VF1J armored b&w lineart along with 6 color schemes - VF1S b&w battroid lineart - VF1A battroid with Super pack b&w lineart - 10 pages devoted to battroid "photos" (many to the armored valkyrie) and 4 to gerwalk
  3. Yeah, according to last year's publication schedule, the new issues should be out at the end of March (#, June (#9), September (#10) and December (#11). The lack of a precise date - it was present in the last page of every ongoing series until now - really makes me a bit worried. At least there is still written "continue" on The First, Code and MPlus. I guess we just have to wait and cross fingers. PS: it seems Macross Ace wasn't on the bestselling list of adult magazines last year Young Magazine (Kodansha) - 807,871 Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha) - 768,980 Big Comic Original (Shogakukan) - 729,750 Weekly Manga Goraku (Nihonbungeisha) - 500,000* Big Comic (Shogakukan) - 454,000 Comic Kairakuten (WaniMagazine) - 350,000* Morning (Kodansha) - 340,209 Weekly Manga Sunday (Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha) - 300,000* Business Jump (Shueisha) - 285,334 Super Jump (Shueisha) - 277,500 Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) - 260,024 Comic Shitsurakuten (WaniMagazine) - 250,000* Young Champion (Akita Shoten) - 250,000* Comic Ran (Leed) - 207,350 Big Comic Superior (Shogakukan) - 204,125 Manga Action (Futabasha) - 200,000* Young King (Shonen Gahosha Co) - 200,000* Young Animal (Hakusensha) - 159,709 Young Animal Arashi (Hakusensha) - 151,584 Evening (Kodansha) - 147,980 Comic Ran Twins (Leed) - 141,202 Gundam Ace (Kadokawa Shoten) - 135,417 Comic Kairakuten BEAST (WaniMagazine) - 120,000* Afternoon (Kodansha) - 102,834 Comic Hana-Man (WaniMagazine) - 100,000* Young Comic (Shonen Gahosha) - 100,000* Comic Ran Twins Sengoku Bushou Retsuden (Leed) - 91,442 Young King Ours (Shonen Gahosha) - 68,000* Comic Dengeki Moeoh (ASCII Media Works) - 50,000* Men's Gold (Leed) - 50,000* Morning 2 (Kodansha) - 35,000 Comic Beam (Enterbrain) - 25,000* Ikki (Shogakukan) - 11,500 source:List
  4. Cool! Knowing how hard and time consuming can be translating, I really appreciate all your efforts (as I'm sure everyone else does). Your work is an invaluable Macross resource. My deepest thanks.
  5. Just finished drooling over episode 7. Man, this manga keeps getting better and better. Awesome mecha action (everyone gets it's spotlight moment), marvellous character designs, excellent retelling. Mikimoto and his crew delivered us our beloved classic Macross story in wonderful new clothes: everything we loved it's still there, but seems incredibly fresh. Outstading.
  6. Ah, ok, yes, it's that little blurb (I got confused as it's where the "next issue will be out in..." usually goes. Thanks.
  7. Just received and read (well, watched) the book. It sure is my favourite in the series: great battroid pics and Armored Color variations! A great complement to the VF1 Master File. I really hope the VF4, VF3000 & VF5000 Master File isn't a hoax!
  8. Just got my hands on issue 7. Next issue is due out 2-26-2011: does it mean that Macross Ace has become a bi-monthly publication?
  9. Mmm, I was expecting something more. Chest piece still doesn't look good. The legs (especially the knee area) aren't that great either. Maybe it's just a question of bad posing. For now I'm glad I bought the Hi metal Fire when it came out.
  10. I couldn't care less about numbers and so on bla bla bla , so my vote goes to the coolest looking machine. And VF0 it is!
  11. SV51, VA3, VF9, VF11Maxl, VF14 (and derivates, like all the Protodevil VFs), YF21 (can't stand the head), VF25 (Tornado pack only), VF27 On the VF29 I won't comment, yet (battroid is goind to make it or break it) So for me the answer to your question is "absolutely yes"
  12. I always though it was an abandoned or soon-to-be-riqualified sector devoid of citizens, in facts the streets - and buildings, as far as we know - are all empty. Even assuming that the Sharon Apple concert had drawn a huge mass of people to the city centre, it's impossible that every single civilian had gone there. So training area/empty block is what it appears to be.
  13. He sure is the coolest macross spaceship pilot As Talos said, Liza is the zolan patrol officer from D7. The "miscellaneous" category is fine by me, even if she is a main character and has much more screentime in a cockpit than most of the secondary female pilots. I guess Komiria and the others fit in that category as well.
  14. Female pilots: that leaves only Miria and Silvie, so according to you they're not all great, 50% of them is great. By the way (for xx skull-one xx), what happened to poor Liza? Oh, and gay is cool.
  15. It actually looks very good on the comic, but maybe that's just me. I'll post some screenshots if I get the time.
  16. I'm afraid the torso should be the other way round (currently the front plate is the backpack).
  17. A better scan of the VF1J "The first" in the 2011 calendar that comes with Macross Ace, courtesy of Nippondodododo
  18. Are you sure? I really don't see Roy leaving a girlfriend to raise a kid all by himself, or shoot Hikaru (as Ozma did with Alto). Or surviving through the end of a TV series
  19. Nexx. Best valkyrie firepower action (battles against transformable mardook with two rifles and a spear and then goes on to destroy a spaceship all by himself). Then he commands a Macross cannon. Oh, and he's charming!
  20. I'd be interested in the english text that's on the VF-1S' box side, can someone post a scan? I can post the one on my VF1J, should someone need it.
  21. About the red vf1: If it's a 1D, maybe it's Ozma or some other pilot (in Basara's colors) taking Ranka to Gallia IV
  22. The church image: a kneeling Klan probably at Michael's funeral, dressed for a wedding that will never be.
