    It seems it will run weekly for 80 issues. That's 30 issues more than the old one. That means 60% more material (if they keep the old page count per issue) Looking at the commercial, in the first issue we get YF29, there is a new Episode guide category, Character summary at the beginning of each series (I guess), new illustration sheets (ranka & Sheryl), new toys sheet (Yamato Vf19 Kay 1/60), some new Tanjin illustrations (from the inside cover of the binder, look carefully: YF19 in battroid). Sad news is previously published mechanical, world and character sheets haven't changed a bit, so we'll get doubles. Let's hope they have corrected some minor errors (VF17 coloring, wrong sheets numbers, etc.)

    There was a scene in the trailer attached to the first movie (at the end, after the credits) which showed one of these NUNS Monsters in all its glory posing in front of a quarter or Macross Class capital ship (can't remember). That scene definitely GOT CUT from the new movie!!

    I didn't watch the first movie when it came out in order to see them both as a long feature. It was worth the wait. This is Frontier as it should have been. The movies work, the characters shine (Alto, Shery & Ranka) and the Macross feeling is there. Welcome back Shoji.

    First of all: the fighter "lineart" posted is NOT a VF17 correct lineart at all. It comes from the MPlus TIA book and was not drawn by Kawamori. It's like taking the VF25 "lineart" from the Master Files as reference. This new incarnation of the VF17 looks very good in fighter and gerwalk. Battroid is really good looking too, even if - given the price and being unable to get multiples - I'll wait for a 17D as my Bandai 17S looks quite good in battroid, too.

    I think she has her cool moments, but ok, that you don't like him as he is written I can understand (even if I personally liked the fact that he was a reporter and a civilian, for a change).

    Nexx is super cool and has one of the best solo action of Macross history (plus, he gets to command a Cannon!), but don't forget that Sylvie singlehandedly infiltrated the Mardook armada and was able to escape with one hell of a stunt and a whole ship complement of enemy mecha at her heels. Plus, don't forget that the cool action sequences are almost always performed by secondary characters: Macross TV: Max & Milia DYRL: Max & Milia 7: Max (wow, a stunning record) Dynamite: Gamlin 0: Roy Frontier TV: Ozma, Brera, Canaria, Bobby (quite a good choice of coolest mecha action by secondary characters here) Again: I don't see the problem of having Sylvie as the main combat character. I hope your dislike doesn't come from the fact that it's (for a change) a woman filling the role.

    Why? Sylvie is a combat pilot and she is the protagonist of MII along with Ibiki and Ishtar. Where's the problem? I see the parallels with DYRL, but it's far from a retelling with different names. Anyway, I personally found M II extremely entartaining and the mecha gorgeous. Sadly, it's true the first half of the last episode has indeed a rather remarkable drop in visual quality

    VF19P's visor (like the rest of the battroid) gets covered in whale's blood. Basara uses the hand to wipe clear two dots from the visor to be able to use the head camera again. Being Basara he doesn't clear the whole visor so voilà, now the VF19P has eyes. It's as simple as that. I'd like a red colored 19P, but I guess it will be the normal version the one to hit the stores.

    For all of you that have already bought Vol #3 of Macross the First, are there any notable addition/changes compared to the single episodes that appeared on Macross Ace? Issue 1 & 2 had some new pages and/or slight retouches

    Tha question is: what were they thinking when tooling version 1? Wasn't Kawamori involved back then? Very unprofessional... Lucky me I did get only 1 v1 VF25. Won't get the new F, but I could buy a new Ozma Armored bundle
