  1. Heh, if he was president, all he would have to do is throw on the creepy face, and no one would mess with the US lol
  2. Yep, TRU has been discounting their Gundam toys for a few months now, I got a few kits for less than $5.00 in the store. Those were not perfect grade, but the 1/100 master and high grade kits. Oh, I left the G-Gundam kits. They couldnt pay me to take them. But damn, the Kampher and the GP02 for $40.00? thats a deal I can't pass up.
  3. I personally wouldn't mind a Beta fighter... and then they could make the Alpha and Beta link up... $$$
  4. Your thinking of SECTAURS. I had the Leaders dragonfly, and man, it was bad ass. battery powered flapping wings and everthing. Sectors Webpage
  5. Summer movies have been the same forever. Jurassic Park. ID4. Wild Wild West. Deep Blue Sea. Remember, its summer time, the kiddies are off of school, and their brains are shut off. Summer movies = no thinking. Its always been like that. Yet every year everyone whines that "no decent movies are being released this summer" like its something new. heh, sorry to put a damper on the groaning in this thread. Please proceed with the loathing of Hollywood at your soonest convience.
  6. Yeah, I got the retro vibe from it too, like a old suped up chevy. And Senator Organa hade the shiny red caddy
  7. Well, Graham just shut me up about the s-foils lol I had just formed an opinion about a blantent and un-needed x-wing tie in, and Graham killed it. Anyway, heatsinks make sense, given the size of the two engines. [edit] just saw the prices for the revell snap together kits... $25 for the jedi starfighters I can deal with, but $40 for the ARC fighter it too much for me. I'll just gave to wait until the Actionfleet come out.
  8. I really like the ARC fighters design, not much of a real fighter, but a big heafty bomber type craft. The Jedi Starfighters are better designed than their Episode I counterparts, but the cockpit looks awefully exposed. And any info on when us Yankees will be able to get some of those? Being a quick snap together kit, it would be great to play with, and at a decent price too.
  9. Yeah, but does it transform?
  10. ok, it casts Troi and Riker in that episode... unless they are pulling some Imzadi stunt, then it must be some sort of in the future of the future thing.
  11. Graham, you didn't own a N-Gage, now did you?
  12. Guys, could someone please update the link to the Paper Monster Download? I get a 404 error when I click on it. I desperatly want that model too
  13. Kudos on trying out War Machine, I love that game. The pace is much faster, and stat cards make life easy You local hobby store should carry them, but if not I order through Gamers Attic My local gaming store recently deep sixed, and I've been in a funk ever since.
  14. Well, hate to be a late comer to a great debate, but I had to reply about the game controllers. IMHO, Sega Saturn had the worst controller of all the "real" systems (not including Atari Jaguar, 3DO, etc.) The bottom buttons were really comfortable, but the top three were tiny pointy teeth eating away at your thumb. SNES controller get props for being a design the hewld up to the test of time. You can play nearly any game today using that controller. N64 controller was, well, unique. for a properly mated game, it was wonderful. if not, well, eww. The analog stick is worth noting, it was nice and snug, you could get plenty of accuracy out of it. Gamecube controller just doesn't fit my hand properly. The origional Xbox controller was not too large for me, but the placement of the black and white buttons were in a really odd place. The Controller S was just a bit small for me, but the buttons were better placed. Dual Shock controllers for the PS1 and PS2, imo, are masterly crafted devices, but not perfect. Analog buttons on the Dualshock 2 are a joke, and the analog sticks need to be tightned up (see N64 controller entry) a bit for better accuracy. The loosness of said sticks are what makes the PS1 and PS2 second-rate FPS platforms. And yes, I can see the resemblance to the SNES controller, but thats not a bad thing. Poor Nintendo didn't follow the good thing they had invented, and embarked on a quest to make outlandish controller designs. Dreamcast controller was really nice to me, but the added weight from more than one VMU or jumppack was just too much. The controller became uncomfortably heavy, although I can remember hours upon hours spent on it playing Soul Caliber.
  15. Yeah, I agree. The beam weaponry in Macross puts out an amazing amount of damage, and the Ion Cannons of HW look like laser pointers compared to them. However, for the sake of gameplay, I don't think we should make any of the beam cannons that powerful. It wouldn't be any fun when your shiny new SDF-1 Macross gets vaporized in a single shot. Thats why I wanted to put a restraint on the beam weapons. In HW, they were potent damage dealers doing only 12-18 damage per second, and when we upped the damage to around 800 per second, well, things got real quite on the battlefield real fast. It cut down on the dramatic fights between cap ships, no lucky shots, no getting away, just zap, boom, bigger ship wins. I personally would love to see beam weapons have a minimum range, that way when a smaller ship came in too close, all energy would go to close in weapons. Another thing, beam weapons in Macross were mounted on every avaliable surface on most cap ships, but they had the accurracy of a monkey throwing bananas at tourists... they seldem hit, and when they did, it seemed to cause minor damage, unless it was a scripted event, like Milia's ship blasting the Macross when they caught them with their pants down.
  16. Its not that boring, I enjoyed plugging in the damage for a GU-11 and comparing it to the normal mass driver found in HW. I think our biggest problem (stat-wise) with the HW1 version was that we pretty much made our own damage table, instead of following what was already laid out for us. In HW, the normal mas driver did about 5-8 damage, where the GU-11 did about 45-55 damage. That happened to everything in the mod, because we wanted everything to be so superior its HW counterpart. In reality, I can't see a GU-11 being more powerful then a high-speed mass driver However, I can see the beam weaponry of Macross being WAY more powerful than the ion cannons of Homeworld. Although we don't know exactly how the beam weapons work, we pretty much know from the animation that if your hit with a large beam cannon, its game over for you. In HW, even corvettes could take 2-3 beam hits before going down. I propose makeing the beam weapons for Macross more powerful than the HW ones, but not by too much. its a thin line to tread
  17. Heh, wow, back in the same position from 1 year ago I'll take the challange of balancing out the weapons/armor/speed values. That'll give me an excuse to log back on to ICQ again too lol send me an email ( one_klump@yahoo.com ) and we'll get started
  18. hmm, I'm married with a child, so that useally means stupid amounts of cash at tax time I think I'm gonna hold back and only get the Monster... damn its sexy...
  19. Actually, I liked the fast zombies *ducks for cover* They were actually a threat, where as the shambling zombies you could stay away from with a light jog. The fast zombies made you really run for your life, and think a little smarter than some stumbling corpse... Which makes on think... the human body is supported by bones... the bones are moved by muscle contractions... and decomposed muscle cannot contract. hmmmm.... which, in turn, begs to ask, in the cast of LotD, how long have the dead roamed the land? long enough to construct a walled city apparently... how long does it take for a body to completely decompose?
  20. CaptRico, looks like you've been inspired by Bleedman, he does another anime inspired PPG manga. Actually, he's been doing alot of other shows and "manga-izing" them. Invader Zim, Grim & Evil, Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and several others. His work is very good for the time it takes him to complete it. hmmm... wow, that was easy to wander off topic ^^
  21. About Altavitsa allowing them to use the name "Babelfish", they will have to let then use that name, they got it from the books
  22. Heh, BankofKev... If I remember correctly, he was the one who dubbed me the First Offical "Lying Macross Purist"
  23. Nah, the motion blur is not too bad, its the giant lens flare in the background, it draws your eye from the subject. I used to do that all the times, I would make a great picture, then add a lensflare to make it look 'cool', then find myself staring at the lensflare more than anyother part of the picture.
  24. Well, I'm still playing Got THF up to lvl 32, WAR up to 25, and DRK up to 50. I need one more item for Genkai 1 tho >.<
  25. To you console FPS gamers who hate using a PC mouse, next time you are playing a PC FPS, try adjusting the mouse speed, that why you eliminate the dreaded "lift and drop" maneuver Thr DS impressed me, or rather Nintendo impressed me in that they actually thought about the rare and elusive Left-Handed Gamers Almost everyone else in this cruel world caters exclusivly to those pampered Right-Handed Gamers... Ever since Jr. High school, i was forced to comform to a Right-Handed world. The desks were for the Right-Handers, the scissors were made for Right-Handers, Everything was made to pander to the dreaded Right-Handed... And now... now I will have my sweet revenge with this wonderful little game system... I will wreak havoc upon the Right-Handers world with my Left-Handed control scheme for Metroid... [evil laugh]MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA[/evil laugh]
