  1. well, I think its a little bit like fishing: Have a few recommendations for good spots and after that, you put the line in and keep waiting til it comes. Even better way if you can become good friends with the people who own those spots, or know someone in HLJ so that you can have insider information!
  2. Whoa... thats like 1125 SGDs! All in one shot too! You the man! I think you are a good example of customers to make HLJ and Yamato realise that these kinda sales are really worth it for them!
  3. Exceptional! Master level work
  4. Well, work both ways I guess, I mean, if the workers started work after a long holiday break, I'm pretty sure that they will be dragging their feet to work for a little while before finding their momentum again... that affects quality as well....
  5. To quote EXO in post #69 So no, it was never in the anime, but it has become very popular with fans and customisers, as what Jasonc has mentioned above.
  6. Think you might be better PM'ing Kurt, Jung or WM cheng. They *might* have certain "trade secrets" they don't wanna disclose openly.
  7. There isn't any white GBPs released, only the TV standard blue, the jungle camo and the city camo. There was a small run of the "ThunderHummer" GBP version scratchbuild sold (moulded in white me thinks), but that is very rare, and would make you about $600 poorer. I saw one being offered for sale here. You might wanna check it out
  8. Actually i would tend to think that partly assembled is nice, I can't imagine building it really from scratch..... kinda daunting for me...
  9. That, and the fact that the knees can't really bend with the super packs on.
  10. Actually I'm pretty doubtful if they can make it for an end-Feb release. Why? The factories are all in China. The Lunar New Year, which is one of the most important holidays to Chinese in general worldwide, falls on 14th Feb. This is the time when all Chinese across China will be making their way (across the country to) go back to their families to have their annual reunion dinner and celebrate the New Year. I think the holidays should be about 1 week or so. Factories probaly won't be producing much, if at all during this time as people will probably make their travel plans early and travel early (up to maybe 2 weeks prior) in order not to be stranded in the ever worsening problems of extreme over-capacity of the transport systems at this time of the year. Unless they manufacture it by end Jan, else I seriously don't think we can see the release by the end of Feb.
  11. 1/48s are nice, but personally, I would not go for the weathered versions. Just the plain-Jane versions for me, besides, you probably can get them pretty cheap now.
  12. Congratulations for getting a good deal. Good thing you did not follow your friend towards the MPC route. I'm sure you would have regretted it big time. Welcome to authentic Valkyries, instead of "very-tech-y" planes! ( ) . $1721.80 and counting my friend!
  13. Haha... not so fast! We've gotta look at the final price tag for people who wants them but outside of Japan! Either way, with the advent of these un-assembled and completed versions, I think the message is clear to all the decal makers that the market for 1/60 decals have finally opened up. personally I would lobve to see and likely pay money for schemes like Blue Roses, Minmay Guards, Enigmas etc etc... and also not forgetting Angel Birds as well!
  14. Think so too... it is listed seperately from the orginal announced one, and for this one, the price is.... *drum roll* 5800 yen! Downside, you've gotta self assemble (i think), but that would make alot of sense to customisers who would take apart a valk for painting and other customization as well Edit: Ok.... crap.... its an online exclusive.
  15. Chén Huìxián in Mandarin Chan Wai-han in Cantonese She is also known as Priscilla Chan Would love to have the Chinese title to the song though...

    Graham's Sig

Sorry guys, if you were expecting a new sig from Graham about upcoming releases.... sorry, this is not it.... and that is the problem: There hasn't been alot of news on what are the releases for the next year, other than maybe the Destroid Phalanx and the VF-1A Angel birds. I'm actually interested in what Yamato thinks of the earlier poll that the G-man had made... and if possible some insight into next year's Macross 1/60 products. Of course, I totally understand if Yamato chooses not to reveal future plans, but some hints would be nice as well
  17. HLJ's got another wad of my money from the recent sale with free shipping (not the Black Friday deal though, though I am damned sure they would get yet another wad of money had I not been on vacation with zilch internet access!) They just arrived yesterday.... would have been Monday if my brother had not turned up his stereo and missed the courier man knocking!
  18. Actually I think the word "re-make" might be a little off... We don't want a re-make... but rather, we want an "re-animation" to have "updated" visuals of the "original Macross". No change or just very minor updates to make it look/sound not so dated.
  19. Not a remake per se. Rather, seperating all various VFs into its own thread makes for easy referral, else for the 1D, people, especially newbies who stumbled into Macrossworld for the 1ts time or people who visit here once every few months probably cannot ever find what they want in a 50+ pages thread. I'm for it, just that for some of the older releases like this one , probably not too much to add to the discussion.
  20. This is a really sweet custom Love it! It has the kind of feel of the 08th MS Team equivalent in Macross terms compared to the original series. Gritty kind of feeling, which i like very much.
  21. Thanks! now I know why mine become even more yellow after one run of treatment. think I'll try another time, but this time, Krylon anti UV will be my friend right after that.
  22. Very Nice indeed! Maybe the Capt'n should consider doing the kit again in 1/60?
  23. You can just run it through google online translator for the whole site. The result will be about 70% understandable.
  24. I have tried the peroxide treatment and for a while i was elated by the results. The V1 Yamato 1/60 Hikaru VF-1A i tested on , turned yellow again about less than 2 months after treatment. I really wonder if a top coat would have helped matters.... But the point is, this might not be a permanent solution to the yellowed toys. Also,I swear that the diecast like those used in the Yamto V.1s' legs and chest assembly and can possibly weaken the toy after prolonged exposure to peroxide.
