I think it was christopherb that had a custom diorama at one of the MW cons. Do a search on the boards for that. It had a Blue Roses custom 1/48, a moving arm, Minmay poster and a lot of other little details.

Regarding the limited run of the MPCs, I believe that the MPC vol1, the Rick VF-1J was the ONLY MPC to sell out causing the increase in the run from 10,000 to 15,000 but that was all based on the hype and die cast content. After everyone was severely disappointed, no other VF-1 veritech hit the limit for the production run. That's how the Roy VF-1S was "reissued" a while back when the prices hit about $200 on ebay for them. The production run was still below the 15,000 limit that was promised. So even though they say it's a limit of 15k or whatever I don't think there are actually that many in circulation. I'm not sure about the alphas but since it seems like there was even less hype about them it could be possible that they are still under the promised production run.

Didn't have any as a kid so the toy that got me on the road to recapturing my childhood was a Joons red white and blue VF-1J back in 97 or 98. Then soon after I got the 1990 VF-1S Bandai reissue.

I met a guy from the 501st and he sold armor in his spare time. If you get the raw form it can be a little cheaper but obviously more work on your part.

I guess Yamato just to keep things all in the family but I would like to see Takara do something. Kawamori has already worked with them in designing TFs for them so why not continue that relationship and make some Macross toys. They would be MP quality and if they use MP style boxes then they won't be crazy huge like Yamato's. Of course then we'd have to figure out a way for Graham to get the inside info.

Mari is pretty cool about signing pretty much anything. I've seen her sign art books with Minmay pics, valks, dolls, CDs, etc. I think 3 items is good. AFter that you have to get back in line.

I only know of 3 maybe 4 current/former members that have a plush valkyrie and I doubt any of them would want to give them up. As they aren't battle damaged enough.

I agree if you don't like a product then don't buy it. That's the loudest way to talk to a vendor. It is supply and demand. I assume they put out a product at a price point (MSRP) that they feel the market will support. If you don't buy it then they won't sell it. At that point it's either okay let's adjust future products to meet the new equilibrium point. The toys at that point may not be as pretty or detailed but it'll be cheaper. Look at what happened to the Toynami MPCs. A lot of people didn't buy them at the MSRP of $80. Stores were stuck with them and now at RT.com the price is something like $40 or $50 and people are buying them. Speak with your wallets. Also, as dr vandermeer said, if they change their packaging they may be able to move more units. Smaller packaging means more in a case box than 4 or even the 2 that they are going to now. More product in the same amount of space should appeal to vendors and buyers.
