  1. Earth "Military" or government is actually controlled via the 5 Mega-corps in this series. Which is quite interesting as the novels and comics depict things very differently. In the novels up to today, you have the United America's (Us), Union of Progress People (all communist groups like China and Russia), Three World Empire (UK & Japan), Independent Core Systems Colonies/ICSC (Colony worlds), New Albion Protectorate (broken away group from TWE, almost like Australians and New Zelanders) then finally Interstellar Commerce Comission/ICC Which we hear about in ALIENS who take care of all trade and regulation enforcement in space to the colonies and earth. What's odd is NONE of these organizations are even mentioned and are supposed to be the world governments that control yet influenced by the Mega-corporations. In ALIEN: Enemy of my enemy, All of these organizations were supposed to link up on a colonized world to talk about the terroristic attacks brought on by some rogue group who's dropping pathegon bombs on colony worlds. And in the early drafts of ALIEN 3 the UPP play a rather important part of the script. All these organizations are supposed to exist yet never mentioned, they even exist with Amanda being an adult so I can't believe they all just sprouted up over night either. So yeah, I do rather feel Alien Earth is half baked and no one really did their research and no one at Disney/Fox even gave a rats-ass about it.
  2. except for the last 3 minutes, it was another lack-luster episode. Even still, a bit controversial.
  3. I was out roaming around to try my luck, but most places aren't open right now. Not like I really got any money at this point anyways after trading my 370Z in for the new model.
  4. The only one I saw was AFTER that not before.
  5. Okay, I'm gonna say Episode 3 was a lack luster.
  6. ya know, I read a lot of the novels, and the behavior of this particular xenomorph isn't surprising at all. it's interesting to see it on screen now, but they're brutal creatures and it's not just all about creating a hive and all that. They sometimes just wanna kill viciously and then reproduce afterwards. Infact I think in some of the old comic books they could completely rip apart a host, then somehow keep them alive just long enough to infect them with the facehugger.
  7. according to the comic books of late, it seems there are several Yutani family members in the business. One in particular is rather young in his Teen years and uses a Synth body as his double to go on away missions to colonies and various projects he's interested in getting involved with while the real Yutani is on earth monitoring what goes on. Infact I believe becomes familiar with the Xenomorphs himself and even tries to get them from some ice world and fails pretty badly resulting in his Synth being destroyed.
  8. Okay now with that first look teaser as the story goes on, it looks really really interesting, and I knew the question of AI versus human consciousness was gonna come into question the moment episode 1 started.
  9. Starscream looks nice, I still rather like that he's his Trijet alt mode and we barely even saw it in the film. Actually I feel like the characters in this film really shine in the Studio Series line. I only ever got B127 and missed out on Prime and Megatron entirely, but that figure was pretty solid compared to his deluxe variant.
  10. I only saw the first episode cause I got my days mixed up. It wasn't bad, I'll watch episode 2 when I get home tomorrow if I'm not stuck trying to get the paperwork to my new car done.
  11. Not to mention it's sort of Hulu's last hurrah. I'm not surprised, and in fact I had a pretty good feeling we weren't gonna get anything Predator related at all. Xenomorph do chitter just like the Predator species, so the sound in the trailer could been a Xenomorph right next to the character, who knows.
  12. That's indeed really disappointing and not surprising. I just got my hands using what money I didn't spend at the con last weekend both Silverbolt and the Longhaul/Hook 2 pack at a local Target....honestly was very surprised they were present when I was on the website late last night so I took the chance early this morning. Sadly the 2 pack were already gone but they had 5 more silverbolts. Had to drive 40 miles to get the 2 pack at the next Target. Man, getting Silverbolt out of the box and looking over the giant brick set he comes with, it's almost if not bigger than he is! This is truthfully the biggest bummer when it comes to these new designs but I guess that's just how things go with the price point and how they're designed. Overall I do like how he looks in general, and I went ahead and put Slingshot and Airaid into their respected slots. Now I just gotta wait until Fireflight and Skydive....that sucks. Longhaul and Hook was like a "Wait....I paid 90 for this?" Their transformations from vehicle to robot were just so simplistic that it was either genius or disappointing I can't figure out what. Their combiner transformation was a lot more intuitive in my opinion but my god that backside is just so god awful to look at that I'm glad I don't got to! I also slapped bonecrusher and scrapper on and then I went, "Ah..........crap...." cause he's not gonna be able to stand. This is what I kind of hate about how they release combiners, go feet/legs, torso, then arms, don't go arm here, leg there, maybe the torso, or just do the torso last like the Stunticons. Right now I'm kind of glad that the Combaticons are the last set for now....course it's gonna be a whole year before they're even finished. And I want my G2 Stunticons dammit! They've had all this time, 2 years now to finish these and t hey only got 2 more stinking figures to go. All they are, are just repaints, how freaking hard can it be?
  13. pffff you're right. ah that's still horrible either way lol.
  14. see? Thats BS! I know this figure isn’t exactly out yet but come on! That’s total price gouging right there if there ever was.
  15. Gradius would be fun. I picked up a few games this weekend, nothing much, nothing impressive. Transformers on the PSP and boy is that game a POS.....Ace Combat 4 for PS2 which if I recall was a really fun game to play! And Terminator 2 Dawn of Fate....I remember playing it a tad bit at a friends house, but never got more than I think the intro on it thru and gave it back to him. Sadly there weren't much there for games at this con I went too.....lots of overpriced garbage I'd never get, or import games that I can't play on the 64. Guess I need to mod my 64, I heard it's real similar to doing the SNES.
  16. Considering these days finding missing figures at cons is a given, their pricing is insane and over the top. I'm not gonna spend 70+ on a deluxe figure at all....even if it's hard to find. But 130 for a two figure pack that is just barely getting into the market at 89....I mean come on. If it were 100, yeah I'd probably pay for it, bit steep but I'd manage. 86 for Swoop when he's around 60 is iffy....honestly I can still get him and save probably 10-12 bucks online and that's probably the direction I'll go in the end.
  17. God I would absolutely love missing link Z's as a Z enthusiast. Infact I almost traded in my 370Z this week for the new 25 Z but the dealership we were getting it from at work said no dice, car had hail damage and they didn't wanna repair it so the deal fell thru. Was absolutely bummed, really wanted to drive a new Z for my birthday this weekend. Speaking as is tradition for me the last 6 years, been at a con all day. There was a vender booth with just a ton of Transformers from all the different lines but what got me so giddy were the Alternators, I absolutely LOVED that figure line cause they were all scaled realistic vehicles of the early 2000's. But when I looked at the boxes for these things the guy wanted 200+ bucks each....man I get they're MIB but by god 200, there's an Ozzy line thrown there somewhere I can't repeat. He also wanted 90 for SS86 Swoop, another wanted 80 for a Takara Pre-earth Wheeljack. GET BLEEPED! 130 for Long haul and Mixmaster! Come the freak on, I get trying to turn a bit of a profit but that's almost double the cost, I'd been stupid to buy those.
  18. I'm absolutely fine with the design and overall look of the Alpha. There's a lot of people probing about the "scale" of the figure. Lots of hopeful fans are wanting a cheaper 1/48 alternative from Sentinel. But for some reason they don't seem to understand that Takara does their own thing and not follow the "scale" method. I'm guessing this thing will probably be close to Commander or maybe even Leader class.
  19. Klingon's in the TOS always had something gold looking. I mean mostly it was those over the shoulder sash's but still.
  20. I'll completely pass on the bayverse figures, there's zero appeal from me on that. Sort of irked that we're doing a new Seeker mold, worse off that we already got an 86 SS Starscream and now here we are with a new mold starting with TC. I'm fairly happy with the figures I got so I'm going to entirely pass on this. Combaticons look good, Brawl, and Blastoff keeping fairly close to their G1 counterpart. Windcharger, Sureshot, they look good. Big Convoy will probably be a buy, the Hotwheels collab I think I'll probably get, I'm pretty sure I mentioned it some time back but they would work REALLY well on the G2 shelf.
  21. God yeah that was kind of heart breaking right there. Lots of history with him growing up.
  22. soooooo was that Moses Ingram moving from Kenobi and now onto Star Trek?
  23. truthfully not surprised he's gone, at least not this fast. There were stories I've heard where Sharon and him were planning to go to Switzerland cause assisted suicide was a thing. Given his situation and how much pain he was in, falling, back surgery, diagnosed with Parkinsons, I get why it would be a thing. If anything it showed his final concert not even a month ago was a big send off and a message to everyone this was gonna be truly the end.
  24. could be fun. who knows!
  25. Man been forever since I've been around Coeur D'Alene, literally a hop, skip and a jump from Spokane. Currently the local walmarts are flowing with Retro Bee, Gears, older Earth Spark, AOTP Red Alerts and TFOne Bees both SS and Deluxe class. It's rather annoying. Target though out here in Texas has been getting stuffed with Bonecrushers.....that's rather funny in my opinion. Oh and really terrible SS Q's.
