  1. If you don't have any of the many Megatron variants out there, I'd say go for it. Shockwave was a pretty solid figure to start the lineup, and I absolutely loved the earth mode soundwave figure over his cybertronian variant.
  2. Hasbro Pulse unveiled the Deathsaurus Unboxing the end of the video they very briefly and vaguely revealed that he's officially in production and there are hopes to have him out before christmas. I'm sure seeing how mine is coming from TFsource I won't be seeing him until the start of 2024.
  3. I feel like Kathleen Kennedy got her hands on this one....
  4. It was not, Salvation while taking place in the future war was not based on either T1 or T2 judgement days. It was another altered timeline caused by the effects of T1-3 giving a 5th timeline. The biggest reason it was a dumpster fire was people finding out via a leaked script online what the movie was going to be about, and the backlash caused McG and the studios to go back and make changes to keep it to a more "traditional" style versus his far out vision of what the "new trilogy" was going to be.
  5. Oh crap, I think I ordered mine via TFSource....I need to change the payment on there to a different card, no way I can afford it on my standard stuff. Optimus doesn't look bad at all....heck I don't even see much for plastic mold gaping except in the biceps. Right now I'm sort of naw though for Bumblebee and Starscream, mainly Starscream....I'm not digging his look, it's to.....I dunno, Cyberverse looking maybe? I don't know yet, I really don't want to be buying a wholenother set of TFer toys for a different lineup...I've got enough figures as it is and I'm still trying to finish collecting all the G1 revamp stuff.
  6. They sure have been taking their sweet time on this since it's informal announcement I think 2 years ago...? Or was it a little longer....I wanna say it was right around the time Dark Fate came out maybe? I'll be honest, I'm really tired of the going back thru time BS...I want the Judgement Day war, no more of this sending a Terminator back thru time to alter the future....I think you can get some awesome drama and great storytelling that leads up to the final battle in Colorado. This is kind of why I really liked Terminator: Resistance....it gave me a really good taste of that war but it was still so basic and simple that it didn't do enough.
  7. I'm somewhat invested in the beast wars stuff after doing a few episodes of the japanese series in english as Tasmanian Kid back in the day. Seeing that I think they're releasing that character as a core figure, I'm gonna have to try and get it. With that I did order Magmatron, and at some point I'm gonna finally pickup Lio Convoy....really would like to see other characters as well. Something that kind of surprises me right now, I hadn't seen much of squat of the Gamer figures, I'm guessing they're either not really being released in the same manner as other SS figures, or people are snagging them fast. I've really only come across cliffjumper, that's been about it.
  8. I agree for the most part, if there were parts I could, I'd print. I've got 4 printers at home constantly doing stuff, and once in a blue moon I'll take a peak online to see what's out there gunpla wise though it's not much.
  9. 3 episodes into Meta Build.......I'll be honest this show is just messy. No flow, no direction, just fanservice in the worst possible way that makes zero sense. More importantly, how is it after all the "years" that've passed between shows, that the majority of the original 2 season characters EXCEPT for Fumina haven't aged?!
  10. My SS86 Magnus just arrived this afternoon, and boy do I like it. I'm very much happy that I entirely passed on either the Seige or Earthrise versions as this guy is just fantastic. I do agree with what a lot of people think about the width of the arms being so far out from the upper body, but I can forgive it since there's a lot of panel compression going on as well....you gotta have some kind of a compromise I suppose. I didn't get to play to much with my MP variant I bought a couple of months ago, but to me, the SS86 release feels more solid, not the least bit flimsy or loose in any way. I'm going to be really looking forward to the Toyhax labels that I'm sure will really enhance the overall look of the figure 10 fold, namely around the cab, it's very drab and plain.
  11. ya know it's funny, I just received my Blu-ray copy of the series, personally I'm sorta hesitant on the quality when I get a 3 part anime on 1 Blu-ray disc....However it does seem to be crammed with a lot of stuff cause not only does it carry the 3 ADV dubs, but it also has the original Streamlines Pictures dub which I did enjoy and was the first anime I owned on DVD back in the ......oh gosh late 90's? But it also has the Part 2 international release. Since it's AnimEgo I know it's gonna be at least a decent set to own, just need more time to explore my copy.
  12. Tried that when I had no luck getting one online thru the goodwill auction site. The goodwills in my area never ever carry stuff like consoles of any sorts, they mostly have clothes, pots and pans and dishware, almost nothing electronics wise outside of kitchen or desk lighting. I mean this is baaaaaaaad. I'm half tempted to tear it further apart, fill the scratches with bondo, put a layer of filler primer on it, and then nail it with flat black until I can do something with it. Looks like I'm gonna have to cut my losses possibly on this unit and just keep it as is. I've cleaned the snot out of it tonight, and my hope was to tear it all apart and just repaint this thing entirely. But upon inspection I discovered this is actually a "newer" unit Nintendo released, the DOL-101 variant. It explains why it was so much cheaper from the other units he had to offer. But by god the number of dead bugs that were in this console was staggering....so many lil legs floating around, I'm gonna have to deep clean the pan I used to scrub this sucker down.
  13. Hey guys I could use some help....I recently bought a Nintendo Gamecube at a con for cheap...dude told me it's been tested and works so I'm gonna hold him to his word on that as I don't have the proper connections to check. But I went to do a little cleaning on it....noticed it was really scuffed up bad when I got it under better lighting conditions, popped the top cd cover and saw some grime, cleaned it up with a swab and iso. I thought, "Maybe I should crack it open..." grabbed my special tool, opened it up, and was greeted to the worst sight of debris I've ever come across. When I bought a dreamcast last month and looked it over, it was in really good shape, the only problem was the GD-ROM was trash....that was it! This is a different story.....I mean even dirty and hair was crammed into really tight areas I couldn't believe! The cooling fan was caked, the air filters on the other side were clogged, it's terrible. I'm trying to convince myself, if I take this thing completely apart and do a really good cleaning on it, it'll be "better"....I know for sure the internals will be fine, but the housing is just in such poor shape. Even if I scrub it in soapy water, or do a peroxide treatment on the front panel, it's gonna have so much nasty gouging and scuffing and scraping that it doesn't feel like it'll do much good. So what are my options? I'm looking around online all I find are transparent shells and I don't want that at all....and the last project I worked on was replacing a GBASP shell and the guy had ripped me off so I'm cautious on how to go with. I'd really like something either Black which was what it originally was, Indigo, Silver or Orange.
  14. Is it just me or is Unix Square's take on this having somewhat of a Macross The First vibe to it with the angles and details?
  15. Yeah there's a pretty long and drawn out explanation as to why Tennant came back....it's hinted by Tom Baker who played "The Curator" that the Doctor might find himself running into past faces in his future but only the favorites. Now the series isn't a stranger to bringing back aged actors into previous roles and what not so it was left kind of ambiguous to that statement. Now why the 14th Doctor regenerated back to the 11th being Tennant is not very clear...but it was implied that the 15th doctor only in appearance is the 11th but will be very different than the one we all knew and loved back in that era.
  16. I'm hopeful for this metaverse thing but I don't understand how it's supposed to work. Is this PC, is this literally on the Oculus headset or on any form of VR, etc etc. I'll be honeset, it was hard to watch this 48 minute promo so it might of been covered.
  17. Think I'd like to see some more concepts of the Delzog....we didn't really get to see much about them since the story focused on Shogo and his crew, which is obvious as to why. I always got the impression they were Borg like before we even got the Borg.
  18. Never heard of it till now, but not in the budget at almost 800 bucks.
  19. I could use a little assistance. I was digging in my garage and I came across my old school consoles, mostly my old NES from 88, PS1 and PS2 and Dreamcast. My setup at home is using one of those cable concealment wall deals and while I can easily find HDMI adapters for the consoles, all of the adapters themselves apparently need power which seem to use USB only, no AC Adapter for some reason to send image and audio to the TV. Hell right now I'm even trying to find a decent HDMI switch box cause right now I've got almost 12 freaking consoles in my armory but only 4 ports on the TV. Any suggestions?
  20. I’m not 100% sure if I’m gonna see it, but I’d like to. I’m just not excited for the typical comical comic book trope that’s been going on in a number of these kinda movies. I like serious and sorta dark with the occasional joke here and there.
  21. Rub signs were kind of the point back then. I was out and about Wednesday at some retro game joints and wanted to go to a different location further down the road. When I got there I actually saw they had a fair amount of Transformer related merch. At first all I noticed were reissues of old G1 toys, hoist, redalert, all the seekers, some of the mini-bots etc. But as I got further down their aisle I saw some of the original waves of the classics lineup, Optimus, Nerf Gun Megatron, Bee, Grimlock, Mirage which surprised me. When I finally looked down I saw Titan's Return Trypticon who had been rather elusive to me as he never showed up in any of the toy shelves even when ToysRUs was still around....the only Titan scale out there I came across was Fort Max and that I had to grab back then. Prices on this guy were not cheap online when I looked for him....I should had grabbed him when he was on amazon for 130 bucks about a year or two ago when it dropped. I was a bit hesitant to look at the price sticker on this guy seeing how he was claimed to be mint in box. The only thing that suggested he was opened was a lack of tape on one of the flaps, so when I picked him up I saw he was listed for 199.99 thought "Nah something ain't right...." I looked around and pulled him out of the box and he not only was complete but he was still in his original tied down straps! So of course yeah I'm gonna get him and I took him home and spent 3 days applying his stickers....man that was really tough! The instructions were wrong in a few areas and very vague on his placement. I was happy I got him, but now I kind of regret it. My other cat, he's slowly dying of chronic Kidney Disease, treatment cost me a lot more than what I really had so now I gotta come up with the funds to pay it off along with finding the money to have him put down if he doesn't improve.
  22. Cool, I mean 1999 kind of beat them to the punch a long long time ago, but that's pretty cool. My only worry is they'll start cutting corners and like other areas you won't get instruction manuals in your boxes anymore, you'll have to go online and print them or something. And probably have to make an account.
  23. I was at a local con yesterday, blazing 110 degrees of fun ....sarcasm. I was really surprised on the number of venders out there selling nothing but TF figures, man I came across so many Omega Supremes it made me go "Yep, that's where they all went." 1 was loose for 300, the others were all boxed for over 400. I did find some old G1 figures still in boxes, most were reissues, but a decent amount of originals.....course expensive 200-500 a box. I DID come across something that made me do a double take. One of the vendors had an MP Ultra Magnus in box and I saw a small tag listing it for 124.99. Went over to the guy running it and asked him about the figure. As it turns out it was a used figure came with everything minus the instructions...........for 124.99! thinking to myself wow a 150 off cause it doesn't have instructions? that's odd! But sign me up, I bought it, took him home, everyone was telling me, "Aw man you probably got scammed, I bet its missing pieces or floppy mess!" Once I opened the box and took a look I thought he might had been missing his normal face plate, but nope it was there tucked away. He really was in good shape and came with everything. Super easy to transform to boot. So he's going into the shelf where he shall remain relatively dust free. Yay me!
