The fact that @Chronocidal finds itasha schemes so offensive only makes me want it more. Bandai's only released such schemes as model kits. And dealing with Bandai's poor quality decals is too much of an ordeal. I'd rather they just release it as a web exclusive DX and just print the images on.

Thanks! Will keep trying to improve. I scanned and scaled down various sticker and decal sheets from other valkyries, then printed my own decals.

I guess 35 years of Kawamori goodness has spoiled me too much. You might also want to check the other side of the grey plastic swivel, as it can have a tendency to slide a little out of its socket on the metal frame. That might help with the wing angle. Thanks Saburo! I only wish I had a real camera so I could begin to take pictures anywhere near your level. Thanks! She's only half-finished at this point... She's an appropriately futuristic design for 2092, I think... though in 80 years they've only moved up to the VF-2? They really are lazy and complacent in the future!

Yeah, sorry, that's what I meant. The area from the intakes to the knees are just so large and bulbous in proportion to the rest of the craft. It's not an awful looking fighter by any means. But with the large knee area, it looks really fat in profile. It looks best if you're looking downward towards it, I think. You're right, I did forget to push the wings all the way forward, but it seems it didn't make much difference in the straightness of the wings. Though I'm chalking that up to the fact that it's damn near impossible to get everything perfectly lined up straight. You adjust one thing, and another part gets nudged out of place. VF-2SS fighter pics. Since I couldn't find any resources regarding what markings it should have, I just used the VF-1 for reference, since it's very reminiscent of Hikaru's ride. I think it's a pretty wonky aircraft design. Having the engines so far from the main fuselage makes me think of catamarans. Looks much better with the SAP equipped, which I have to work on next. I think I'd like it more if Bandai hadn't made the intakes so fat.

Thanks! I'm actually eager to see what you do with yours. I know a man like you could never leave such a plain looking valkyrie untouched. I think the question he should've asked is "What stands and where can I purchase them for a reasonable price?"

That looks freaking awesome! Isn't it still the UN Spacy in the MII timeline? I was wishing ET provided some stickers of the MII kite emblem so I could use it elsewhere. Maybe I'll switch it with a NUNS logo on my other one.

Oh I didn't know about that particular thread. I'll dig through my scans and see what I can upload. Thanks! But it's just the main valk that's almost done. I haven't started on the SAP. @no3Ljm @Scyla Thanks guys! @derex3592 I scanned and scaled down the ET and some Yamato sticker sheets and then printed them on decal paper. @seti88 No I didn't fix the heat shield. This one is going to stay in fighter mode once I get the SAP finished. My other one will stay in battroid so I'll probably mod that one. Though I might change my mind and mod it anyway.

Ooooh that looks fantastic! Nice work! I've been slowly working on mine as well, as I've felt the VF-2SS looks way too plain out of the box for such an expensive toy. Almost like an unfinished model kit. I, uh, didn't exactly enjoy working with all those tiny NO STEP decals lol

LMAO! I think it's the flatter finish that makes the blue seem darker, as opposed to the almost semi-gloss finish the original has. I see them somewhat regularly on Mandarake for 10k, which is only a small mark up from its original price. Though that might change soon if there's a run of peeps suddenly wanting them for their new Kais.

I'd rather see Arcadia release it. Bandai will probably make you buy the Daedalus and Prometheus as a TWE.

Oh, I was just referring to the Frontier timeline and onwards. In a span of less than a decade in-universe, we got the 25, 27, 29, 30, 31, and I'm willing to bet we see yet another new VF in the Delta movie (YF-33 maybe?). I wouldn't call that infrequent or long service life lol (The 25 already vanished from the universe??)
