    Sorry David, but if you or anyone makes a claim that something is a widespread problem, then the burden of proof is on you to provide data and prove it. It is not the community's job to disprove your claim. A couple of instances of a certain issue is not significant enough to declare anything to be widespread or an epidemic. Short version: anecdotes are not data.

    I bought my Maruyama 171EX for 16k from Mandarake way back when. It was awesome. I wouldn't expect Bandai to spend money re-engineering and creating new molds for the 262 when it isn't exactly flying off the shelves.

    Very nice! I do have to warn you about the display stands for this figure and the Nyan Nyan outfit Ranka. Megahouse used a really crappy weak plastic for the connection points that the feet mount onto. Over time they weaken and break just from the stress of holding the figure up, which you'll note is the only job it has. I know because I have both of those figures and they both broke from just sitting on display. I ended up just gluing Klan's foot to the stand.

    I think I buy more stuff from Mandarake than any other Japanese shop, and pretty much everything has been solid. It's thanks to them I've been able to obtain almost every past valkyrie that I missed from the Yamato years, and most of them at reasonable prices. Some notable purchases I recall were Basara's 19 for 12k and an SDF-1 for 18k.

    I might if I can get away with not having to put on a gloss coat first. There's no prior panel wash; the difference in shading is just shadow and there being less paint in the panel grooves.

    Doesn't matter if NY manages to fulfill "all" their orders because it won't undo the frustrating experience this has been for a bunch of people. And I put "all" in quotations because there's no way to ever know if they would have fulfilled all of them since a bunch of people have already canceled due to the frustration. NY being the "hero" in any narrative is just bad comedy. Though it sure is easy to talk down to the Kairos-less masses when you're already whooshing around a 31A, isn't it?

    Not a huge fan of the Thunder Hammer but got one just for the hell of it. Got 000 because the diagonal numbering on the leg really bothers me. It must be the asymmetry.

    Yeah, I wouldn't advise it for someone unable to pay off their card in its entirety every month or keep a rein in their spending. I put everything on my one card since it has no foreign transaction fees and I get the actual exchange rate, and not PayPal's bloodsucking rate. I also rack up tons of points for travel this way. My next two international flights are already free. I also pay off my card entirely every two weeks so I don't carry over any substantial debt. It's all about knowing your financial limits. Remember kids, only Batman has no limits!

    If you can afford to spend thousands of dollars on toys, then great. Don't worry so much about it. Just don't put yourself into debt or funnel money away from more important things (like food, rent, etc.) If you're doing either of those things, then yeah you need to dial back the toy purchases.

    No one said you shouldn't make a complaint if there's a problem.

    Be careful with those. The rubbery nubs at the tips are known to eat paint. So if you use them, be sure the nubs are not in contact with any painted surfaces. Bare plastic is fine.

    Hmmm I guess I can just get an Arad 31A for my regular version and use the two I have now for the super and armored sets. If Bandai ever releases one.
