Got a response from Nin Nin regarding my 31A. Dear Customer, Your are one of our many trusted clients buying DX Chogokin items from us, and we thank you always for your patronage. The figure "Macross Delta - VF-31A Kairos Limited Edition [DX Chogokin]" which you have pre-ordered, has just been released. Contrary to the other products of this line, Bandai has only produced a very small lot of this item. Our supplier did not receive its allocated amounts (it was “shorted”), and therefore cancelled a large quantity of our ordered stock. Consequently we are very sorry to have to inform you that we are unable to honor your order #85940 (ZLXJXLKTG), and have no other choice than to proceed to its cancellation. Please find here a voucher equivalent to the amount of both of your order, with a bonus of +1000JPY as a compensation: (this voucher is valid on all of our online shop catalog) Please accept our most sincere and deepest apologies for this inconvenience, which was very unexpected for us, and incredibly unfortunate. Please believe that we are always and will always do our very best to satisfy our Customers, and to deserve your trust. Thank you very much for your understanding. I replied that a store credit is unacceptable and if they can't fulfill my order then I want a refund. They promptly replied and said they'd refund me. Glad I did not rely on them as my only 31A. Of course that leaves me without a third one, which I only decided I wanted after seeing the possibility of an armored 31A.

I dunno, she seemed pretty fluent in English (or Japanese?) when she was aboard the SDF-1. Though the infiltration by and subsequent "defection" of an enemy combatant from a power we're at war with probably should have raised a lot more questions before allowing her to wed a citizen and then giving her one of our state of the art aircraft. I often ponder such trivialities in the Macross universe...

Yes, I'm Chinese so you don't have to explain to me the vagaries of my own language. However, if they're going to spell it a certain way on the packaging and other materials, they should keep the same spelling. I don't spell my family name as "Wong" on my driver's license then decide to go with "Huang" on other documents. Yes, that is my actual family name.

Oh I was referring to the spelling. It's usually spelled "Fallyna." Including on the box it came in. It's a minor thing that doesn't bother me; just thought I'd point out that peculiarity.

As an aside, the stenciled pilot name says "M FALLIENA." Bizarre.

It's no secret that I'm not much of a fan of NY, but even I think they'll deliver everyone's 31A. It might take awhile, and their customer service is lacking which can make it really frustrating, but they'll deliver. Eventually.

HLJ has the best customer service I've experienced of all the hobby shops I've purchased from, and it's owned by a white dude. There's no reason to play the race card here. For a place like NY, I chalk their failings up to incompetence and obstinacy rather than maliciousness or an intent to cheat anyone.

My third 31A still has not shipped out from Nin nin game. Ordered from them since they had a great price, but given their reputation I wasn't relying on them as my sole order. I also didn't order till late November so I still have a lot of time to PayPal dispute it. I'll give them until mid-April before I demand my money back.
