    Thanks @Slave IV Thanks! I just Tamiya weathering kit and some Q-tips. I find that the cheap Wal-mart brand Q-tips with less cotton works better than good quality ones.

    So it's essentially a VF-19 Advance with UN Spacy kites instead of SMS and a split canopy? Was wondering when Bandai was gonna reuse that mold. I'll get at least one. Maybe they'll fix the floating tabs this time around.

    Finally finished turning my old Hikaru 1S into a "premium finish" version as the bright white and lack of a rainbow canopy on the actual Arcadia PF 1S would've stood out next to all my other DYRL valks, and that would've just irked me to no end. I did steal the PF strike packs from it, though. Next to the blindingly bright white Arcadia version. I was just gonna be lazy and do a straight panel line wash and call it a day, but she still seemed somewhat flat, so I did the absolute minimal panel shading I could just to give her a little more depth.

    Never saw 2040. DId watch Crash. It was just as cheesy but somehow substantially worse than the original. It was their Macross II, I suppose. The conflicts of the future will be fought over bubblegum, not fossil fuels. Didn't see that one coming, did you?

    Oh man I've love to have a new and improved Priss & Motoslave; yeah I'd buy all the Knight Sabers. I loved that show, as cheesy as it was. I had the old Yamato version, but it was tiny and kinda disappointing.

    As someone who spends a lot of time around sick people, I gotta say if you don't have your health, then you got nothing. On a less depressing note, the Mospeada Stick looks sweet! But what's the deal with the helmet visor?

    Hear hear. The calibre wings F-14s are meant for show, though I did whoosh them around a bit. I rarely even touch my valkyries, once they're on display on their Yeti stands. Simply don't have time to be playing with all of them. When I was younger, I had lots of time but no money. Now it's flipped.

    Funny that you mention getting out of the hobby. While drifting in and out of sleep, I randomly started thinking about what I would save if my house caught fire. I'd save my cat first, then try to take whatever family photos I could. After that, if it wasn't safe to go back in, I'd let my valkyries and everything else burn. I don't consider anything I own (besides the aforementioned things) worth risking my life over. It'd suck big time to lose all those valkyries, and I'd probably quit collecting after that. No way I'd want to start again from nothing. Okay, back to your regularly scheduled 31A conspiracy theories.

    If you're ever in Japan, Mandarake is a must visit. Aside from being a toy paradise, there's quite a few things you can pick up that they don't have listed on their website. They do have an auction section but I've never tried it. They're a chain of second hand shops that carry so many goodies for peeps that are into anime & manga. Like an anime-themed pawn shop, but with lots of brand new items and way less sketchy. If you missed the boat on a particular item, Mandarake is a great place to start looking.

    Now that's a perspective that's understandable. But if you know you're going to be disappointed before even getting the item, why spend the money? Like I said, there's a lot of meaningless fluff.

    People can bitch and moan all they want about the price. But if they bought, then it clearly wasn't too expensive. Not when we're talking about luxury items. Actions, not words.

    And "reaction" is just the Macross way of referring to nuclear weapons. But since Japan is the only country to ever suffer a nuclear strike, Kawamori and company decided that they shouldn't have their heroes "nuking" the bad guys.
