Which one is the V2 Vader? Episode IV or VI? Or some other release I never saw. -
The Yamatos were only hard to get after the fact; that is to say, long after their original retail release, after stocks had been sold out. Much like the VF-11C. There was no such thing as preorder madness for Yamato releases.

Grats on the VF-4. Just paint the nose yellow and add some skulls to the stabilizers and she'll be perfect. -

Been writing down the order numbers and the only one I wrote where they received the email was 11984087 but the order isn't canceled as of that posting.

The panel lining is alright for a mass produced item. Wish they didn't matte coat the clear bridge window though. Gonna have to sand and polish it myself I guess.

Hope some random Bandai employee happens to see these pics while web browsing and annoys the hell out of his boss to get a DX version made. Pipe dream, of course, but a man can dream!

They should have done a premium finish version way back then, before the Bandai YF-19. The number of peeps willing and able to buy a PF YF-19 from Arcadia is not exactly huge; the Bandai YF-19 is just going to eat into that even more. I'd still buy a PF YF-19 if they released one now, though.

I'd say value would be the same as far as secondary pricing. It's still a highly sought after piece for a lot of Macross collectors, and since the shoulders are now fixed and color matched, they don't have to worry about them breaking. I don't think you're going to find a VF-1D anywhere close to original price. If I didn't already have one and the price was right, I'd buy it.

OMG they made a USS Yamato?! I must have one! Love the custom stand too. I think I might have to replace the default stand now. Also, nice Eaglemoss collection! -

They were released at the same time. One was painted duck egg blue like the actual studio filming model, and the other "TV color" version was painted to more closely resemble how it actually looked on TV after lighting, post-production, etc. Should be more of a warmer grey tone. -
HLJ updated their listing to May 2018 for some reason. Guess they're not expecting stock till Tuesday at the earliest? https://hlj.com/product/ACA82141

Can people list their HLJ order number, especially if yours got canceled? I'm pretty sure HLJ is going by the order in which they were received, but I'd like see if that's really the case. Mine is 11983065 (not canceled).

LOL it would have taken too long to list all the IPs Bandai produces merchandise for that sell more than Macross.

No payment request from HLJ and it's Golden Week. If no shipments go out next week then I won't get mine till June. Nuts.

Short version: Gundam makes more money for Bandai than Macross.

I'm willing to give Bandai the benefit of the doubt and assume the promo pics used a modified VF-19 Advance and the reversed stabilizer colors are just the result of carelessness on the part of whoever modified it. I hope my confidence is not misplaced and Bandai will have the colors corrected on the final version. The chest stripes, on the other hand, I expect to be totally wrong on the final product.

Oh damn I was afraid there might be repeat of the 25S fiasco because HLJ's orders were open for so long. I guess everyone watch your inboxes and hope the preorder cancellation claw doesn't choose you.

So will we see an Arcadia YF-21 or a Bandai version first? (I'll buy either one.) Arcadia taking an eternity on that SV-51 though...
