    1:18th Valk?

I just realized there is a 1/18 Valk. http://www.toyarchive.com/Robotech/st4/vehver.html It doesn't get much better than that lol.
  2. You bet, I've been waiting over 20 years for a Dairugger that can, you know, actually move it's legs. I'm not paying Ebay prices for a nice vintage one and I doubt Bandai will make a SOC version of either Golion or Dairugger anytime soon so it's all up to Toynami which actually did a pretty amazing job with Golion/Voltron.
  3. Whens this statue coming out? I like it, sexy but doesn't look like a overdeveloped 12 year old.

    1:18th Valk?

If a company thinks there's a market for a 1/18 Valk and that they could make money I'm sure there could be a very slight chance of one being made. I would bet though that it would be of the VF-1's since they are the smallest in fighter mode (around 14m+ in length) and the most recognizable. Maybe as a model kit because I'm sure shipping for 1/18 scale jets is a nightmare. Personally I think a 1/18 scale SV-51 would be killer.
  5. I like the baby blue, it goes well with the all-white Valk and at least it's different. I don't understand why people are always pushing the more "realistic" color scheme on a toy based on a show about transforming planes that fight in space set in the future.
  6. That ROTF Devastator isn't too bad but personally I'd wait for the inevitable re-color. I think it would look way better if it had the traditional Devastator color scheme and probably make it look more unified.
  7. Wasn't there also a red version which the Quarter fought near the end of the series? Or was that one of the larger versions? It's been awhile since I've watched this show.
  8. For me G1 will always be number one, not for the designs (which I still prefer to anything since) or toys but because the show had endearing characters. Sure they were stereotypical, the tough guy, the cool one, the hothead etc. but at least they had personality and weren't just nameless faces that took up space, also to do it with such a large cast was rare, I think only G.I Joe could match it. Beast Wars and Transformers Animated did put personalities back into the bots but it lacked the scope of G1. Say what you will of the dated animation and predictable story line's but G1 is still the standard in which all Transformers shows and movies are compared too. If you compare all Primes or Convoy's and had to choose which was still the best I think most of us would still pick Optimus Prime from G1.
  9. Well Com-Battler was the first traditional combining robot ever, not counting the Getters which were more morphing than really combining. So it deserves the upgrade treatment since it's still quite popular in Japan. Also I have a feeling that a Com-Battler DVD set will be issued so this will help in cross promotions. The original GX-03 isn't that bad it just lacked any kind of hip movement, it had knee articulation and double jointed elbows so all I see with this new version are ball jointed hips like GX-31 plus clear plastic for the vehicles and some minor detail changes and increased weapons.
  10. Well not a SOC but here he is, thanks to temujen from robotjapan.proboards12.com.
  11. Danguard is a amazing piece and one of the few figures I thought about buying multiples of since I also love it in Satalizer mode. My Force Five fantasy team is finally completed!
  12. I like it, so it's a "prototype" VF-1S just for Roy and not a low-vis or "real" colour VF ? Ok sure if that's the story Yamato wants to go with I'll buy it.
  13. New pics of GX-46, it's expensive but looks like it may be worth it plus it's quite large in combined mode. http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-99677-1-1.html http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-99674-1-1.html
  14. If the SOC is anything like the plastic model kit coming then the chest will be larger and open for the head to fit inside. Maybe if you just leave it in robot mode and don't transform it the God Scrander may fit on GX-45. I like the choice that Bandai gives you, you can go for the classic look or go for the new look and at less than a hundred bucks I'll probably buy this and display it side by side.
  15. Yeah, the wings are called "God Scrander" and it transforms Mazinger Z into a giant fist for a super powered Rocket Punch.
  16. That's a SOC, it'll either be GX-47 or GX-45R or S and it'll be out in September for about a hundred bucks.
  17. Well at first GX-31 Voltes couldn't transform into his tank mode because that was actually never shown in the Anime that it could, but that was later rectified with GX-31V. Irongear is fantastic, Ideon may be a bit taller but Irongear is wider and IMHO more impressive looking plus it's actually more articulated than you would think.
  18. It should be fine, the Eva's didn't have ratcheted joints and in my opinion had to many points of articulation for a heavy figure. Trust me if a figure like Ideon that weighs over a kilogram can balance on one foot I don't see any problems with the arms on Big-O.
  19. I was thinking about getting this until I saw the price and said forget it I much rather get a SOC. http://toy-wave.com/eng/detail.php?id=11716&table=88
  20. Pictures of the upcoming SOC Big-O, this thing looks sweet! http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-98267-1-1.html
  21. Yeah you get group experience and skill points for opening chests, harvesting plants and mining and stuff. The group SP points comes in pretty handy to upgrade your skills when your character doesn't have enough SP points of their own plus you need them for Item creation when you use points to make recipes. Also check EVERYWHERE for data on ships and stuff, especially around consoles and stuff and when performing Item creation recipes whoever is in the first slot usually leads too whats being created.
  22. These things are so sweet but so expensive if you want to get all four it's gonna cost you about a grand, still if I had the money I'd buy them. By the way are there any pics with all the stickers applied, I'm sure that would add much needed detail.
  23. I just finished Star Ocean The Last Hope and I'm playing the bonus levels. Great game but man there are so many achievements and side missions it can get pretty overwhelming. Here's a quick tip, get as many Battle Trophies as you can I won't say why but near the end of the game if you have a certain amount it will help you greatly.
  24. That's cool everybody has a right to their opinion . My only "beef" is that this new series was too geared to kids while at the same time all those nods to G1 was to try and attract the old school fans. I think I just wanted a more serious tone and it's probably from watching Gundam or even Macross or just a ton of Anime where they can show blood and people dieing and have a storyline that is compelling to adults while not being to abstract for kids. I know a show broadcast in North America during kid time hours can't show any true violence, but I find it interesting the difference between say Transformers and Macross or Gundam where they are both basically Sci-fi fantasy based on giant robots with the same goals of selling toys and stuff can be aimed at two distinctly different audiences. You can enjoy both but I prefer the tone in say Gundam than in Transformers Animated.
  25. Hmmmm well I love my MP Skywarp as is but if Hasbro does bring Grimlock I'll get one just to display in dino mode but I hope it's not a U.S exclusive like Starscream was, there's Ebay but it's just easier driving to Toy's R Us to get one. But 18 months? That's a pretty long time and I'm sure Takara will have another MP out by then. I wonder if Takara and Hasbro has some kind of deal where they stager their releases so they don't interfere with each other, since with the internet and Ebay you can get pretty much anything despite it being released in North America or not.
