  1. Fortunatly, every Bioware game I've played thus far has lived up to the hype. Mass Effect even exceeded it.
  2. Silence! I keeel you! In all seriousness, I like it because it's got mostly clean lines and not too much "wonkyness" going on with it. Not too much stuff there just to be there. It reminds me of how someone once described the mecha from Gasaraki: mecha as if the Israelies had designed it. Plus, like most of the stupid mecha we usually slobber over, it gives fond childhood memories that almost certainly have no bearing in adult life
  3. This show was my third exposure to The Guyver (American movie, animated series, this show, manga, new animated series). And the first to feature a female Guyver. I have yet to decide which is cooler, the Female Guyver or the Guyver Zoanoid from the second live-action film.
  4. What about some of the robots/power armours from Rifts? I've dreamed of a Glitter Boy garage kit/resin figure but I have doubts of it ever coming to fruition.
  5. Sorry but your post needed a little cleaning up
  6. *quietly slinks off to the corner* No hovertank *sob*
  7. I'm not. I'm not a big shooter fan and the only reason I bought Halo 2 was because I enjoyed 1 so much. The only reason I bought Halo 3 was to get over the frickin' cliffhanger that was Halo 2
  8. Pfft. A mere poster does not an anime make. Nor does a picture ensure that she's in it. When I hear Jen Taylor's snarky dialog, then I'll be satisfied. EDIT: That being said... *right-click* *save as*
  9. Aside from the distinct, utter, and total lack of Cortana, you mean. That being said, I'm as hyped about this as you are. EDIT: After watching that link, I'm fine with the Spartan in question (It's probably Linda-058, the Spartan's chief sniper) jump around like that. Their armour is a strength-enhancing system, so it makes sense that it'd increase jumping ability as well as punching power, etc.
  10. I think it's a nifty design that hasn't gotten nearly enough model/toy love. Both Macross and Mospeada have been flooded with product from their lines, so there's only one show left to go to finish the trilogy...
  11. Monster schmonster. His next project should be a Hovertank
  12. Question about HDMI and optical cables. I'm looking at upgrading the video card in my PC and the one I'm looking at has an HDMI-out port. My TV has several (so far unused) HDMI-in ports. That part is blindingly obvious but I'm curious about how I can get the 5.1 audio from my TV to my A/V receiver. My TV, a Sony XBR 2, has an Optical-out port and my receiver has an Optical-in port. Can I just go right from the TV and into the receiver with just that audio cable, or do I need to look for a newer soundcard as well and go from the PC to the receiver? EDIT: the other option, of course, is to go out and buy a new HDMI-capable receiver and go fro- no, wait. I'm already going to be spending enough money as it is.
  13. Indeed. Clarence had street smarts and a lifetime of crime to keep him safe, but he had no vision. Jones could see the potential for personal profit in building Delta City. "That's 2 million workers living in trailers. That means drugs. Gambling. Prostitution. Virgin territory for the man who knows how to open up new markets." And I doubt it would ever come to a brawl. Jones would get owned in a physical fight, but he could throw so much in Boddicker's way that he'd never get a shot at The Number Two guy.
  14. So I just popped my case open. It's a sad, sad reminder that I'm more in the "uninformed computing masses" camp than "in-the-know computer generation" That being said, it looks like I've got the physical length to deal with. As long as the card doesn't project downwards from the x16 PCIe slot (which it shouldn't) I don't think it'll hit any capaciters or other shiney things. That being said, it may be an interesting dance with the cables, and especially two tight ones in particular, but that should be no issue. It looks like I have an unimpeded 11" or so from the bracket at the back to the nearest structure. Any idea what a red, flat cable is? It looks to be about 3/8s to 1/2 inches wide, very flat, very red. There are a few of them, running from DVD Burner into the background, one coming from my HDD, etc. Could that be a power cable? I didn't see where the powersupply cables comes out of my current PSU. Maybe I'll see more when I can get a CENSORED flashlight that works. Also, which way to do I push the latch on the x16 slot to release the card? I didn't want to stress that thin plastic too far and snap it off.
  15. Good. My computer has nothing but empty space (much like the head of its user...), so this is a good thing. Now I just have to open the case up and see how much room I really do have. Does anyone know of any sites where I can get the physical dimensions of various cards?
  16. More than stuffing it into the case, I'm looking at the slots required and that's giving me pause. When I look at a spec sheet and it says that it takes x16 PCIe 2.0 and requires 2 slots, does that mean that both slots need to be x16 or what?
  17. Good. I'll admit that a total re-casing of my PC is more than a little trepadatious. I'd rather not go that route if at all possible.
  18. Ghost was neat, I still enjoy (parts of) Road House, and you can't go wrong with Red Dawn. He was good at what he did, be it dancing or acting.
  19. Well hurry up and build the frickkin' thing! This thread is (now) floundering without pictures!
  20. So what's involved with swapping out a PSU? Obviously the first step is to turn the power OFF*, but after that? Is it just a matter of unclipping the supply lines, removing the unit, slapping the new unit in, and reattaching the lines? Are all PSUs the same physical size, regardless of wattage? * I learned this lesson at work when I forgot to do that... and got a 15,000 V shock that woke me up
  21. Hmm. This means I would have to buy three hover tanks/AGACs from you. I could live with this...
  22. Not at all. It's an HP Pavilion Media Centre 8120n. I originally bought it with the intentions of using it at as HTPC but have since stopped buying cable TV and am too cheap to get sattalite TV
  23. Legioss schmegioss. There have been enough toys and models of that to last for a while. I still hold out hope for a Veritech Hovertank from Southern Cross or an AGACS chopper from the same. Cap'n, have you ever tackled a transforming kit before?
  24. While I haven't opened up the case yet, I did some hunting on the internet and found my store-bought computer on HPs webpage. A little more sifting got me this information: 2 PCI slots (one available), 1 PCI-E x1 slot (available), 1 PCI-E x16 slot (occupied) While that's pretty self-explanatory, is it fair to assume that my current videocard (GeForce 7350) is the one occupying the PCI-E x16 slot? And if that's the case, I'd simply have to pop out the old card and slap in the new one, right? Power supply shouldn't be a problem, no?
  25. But that blunder DID allow BioWare to pick up the reigns and (eventually) grace us with The Old Republic. That's nothing but a positive thing in my opinion
