The Chateau Fight Matrix Reloaded Matrix Reloaded Bar Fight, Daredevil (no link, sadly). Duel of the Fates Episode I, one of the many, many visual Crowning Moments of Awesome in that series. Battle of Amon Hen, LOTR. Aragorn vs Lurtz, LOTR. Battle of Helms Deep, LOTR... notice a pattern here? And a recent one, inspired by the Guilty Pleasures thread: Bloodsport -
If that isn't enough, then after waiting that second week to get the next show... it goes into it's mid-season break, during which that other spin-off show will air. That part sucks, grrrrrr.

Yeah, SGU took a week off due to the holiday down in the States. A poor excuse for depriving this Canuck of his Stargate fix, I say *grumble*

But Casino Royale used it over the whole credits, not just the opening jingle. I'd also like to say that I completely bought Karl Urban as Bones McCoy. Totally and completely owned that role.

Having just completed my first viewing, I have to say that I was alternately boweled over by awesomeness and total narm. The set pieces and "plot" itself: total narm. The character-driven dialog: total awesomeness. I think this movie had the single, defining moment of James T. Kirk: "Your father was captain of a ship for 12 minutes, and in that time he saved 800 lives; including your mother and yourself. I dare you to do better." Throughout all of Trekdom, the one unchanging facet to Kirk's personality was his thirst, his need to be better than everyone else around him. Oh, and the ship itself was criminally underused. I was hoping for some giant space battle and got nada. Same with the original Trek theme. *sniff* They almost didn't use it!

If you're referring to the 'shakey-cam' style, then I can't agree with you enough; I despise that style of camera work with passion. The singular exception I'll allow is that it does give a sense of speed to the objects its filming, such as in 1x04 Darkness, where the Destiny was performing a stunning aerobraking manouver. That whole sequence was just totally spectacular beyond words. If you're referring to the Kino bits, then I'll have to disagree with you. I actually enjoy those, and am loving the webisodes that have been produced so far

Being unique in the franchise is hardly a bad idea. I really doubt the show would be nearly as interesting as Stargate: Atlantis 2.0, despite what some vocal fans say on the matter. I would take that a step further and point out that Atlantis developed a very noticable slapstick streak, far far away from the subtle humour of SG-1. *ahem* It's O'Neill with 2 ells! That other guy just doesn't have a sense of humour...

Nah, I got it with some grinding. Now I'm grinding my way though the Deep Roads. At least this isn't nearly as annoying/boring as the Fade section was. -
An interesting topic came up on another message board and I think it deserves mentioning here: there are some people out there who feel that SGU isn't science fiction at all. I have my own opinions on this, but I want to know what you think: does this show qualify as "science fiction"?

Nom nom nom? I have a new set of Dragon Age conversations, this time between Leliana and Alistar. I'm playing a male noble who's started a romance with Morrigan, but have a high approval with Leliana. Alistar: So.... did you know that he and Morrigan have- well, y'know... Leliana: I do not engage in idle gossip, especially behind his back. Hmm. Hmmmm. Hmmmmmmm... Surely he can't be serious about her, she's a vile, untrained witch! Alistar: Now who's gossiping? Mee-ow! Leliana: I'm not doing that! You... you... you started it and now I'm ending it *huff!* -

As much as I enjoyed that one, I think his review of Halo Wars was much funnier -

"Stop looking at my breasts!" Morrigan to Leliana after the latter kept trying to get her to go clothes shopping. "Softie! Poke poke poke!" Leliana to Sten, having fun at his expense. "That stench is outragous! I'll be right back with my soaps and water!" *whine and recoil* Wynn to Fluffy, the Destroyer (my war hound ) "I'd just hoped it would... go away." "That's a terrible plan." "I didn't say it was a good plan!" Alistar and Leliana, regarding his past issues. -

I think you really mean, "Enchantment"! -
Oh, that.

Because Girl on Girl is Hot. Let's face it, 90% of the time it's just pure fanservice for the guys watching (and fanservice for any gay women watching), and that's what makes it exploitive. So far, SGU seems to be in the other 10%.

That's because it hasn't happened yet There was one throw-away line and that's it, which is the part I like. Most other TV shows would be having the women lock lips before every commercial break and liberally splashing it all over the "Next Episode" ads.
-
No, that's from Penthouse: Universe Seriously, I have no idea what you're talking about, I don't remember anything like that in any promo.

Oh yes. After my first misadventure trying to figure that damn thing out, I went to trusty Google and found the procedure and have followed it to the letter. Just can't quite make it past the last two steps, though. Any idea where I find this ghost boy? I seem to remember dealing with him my first run-through of the crypt, but after that... -

I'm playing DA on the 360 and am running into a problem. In the ruins near the Dalish Elf camp, I can't get past the door. I fill the jug with water, put it on the altar in the back left corner, kneel before the altar to pray* and that boils all the water away. * on all the faqs I've read, you place the jug, kneel, sip, and dump the rest of the water in the fountain, but for me all the water boils away as soon as I kneel. How do I get past this part? -

Anyone else have the camp cutscene of Leliana singing? BioWare rarely does that sort of group scene and they knocked it outta da park with this one. From the music to the way each of your party members perked up and paid attention... just awesome. Just goes to show that videogames don't need blood splattering and copious amounts of T&A to be a good story. ... though splattering blood and T&A are always welcome in my book -
It has, but so far it seems like it's being written maturely and not so much for titilation value.
