Clash of the Titans - remake teaser
CoryHolmes replied to Vermillion21's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Too Human had some promise in that area, but... -
Oh. That. While I had given up on BSG by the start of S2, that whole lurve quadrangle is what assured me that I was missing out on nothing at all. Part of my problem is that as soon as the show was announced after the success of the miniseries, I knew that Starbuck and Apollo would hook up. The vast majority of Hollywood types are physically unable of casting a woman and man together in a show without romancing them; and what they skip out on, the fandom will pick up the ball for them! Just look at the hoopula of Eliott and Olivia being the OTP of the entire straight fandom, despite Word of God assuring that they would never hook up on the show! *pant pant* Okay, rant over- wait! I've got one more! Jack and Sam from SG-1, blech! Once again, the fandom/shippers made that pairing so totally unenjoyable that I refuse to buy Season 8 on DVD becaue of it. *wheeze* Okay, now I'm done. And *gasp* out of shape, it seems I think the reason why I'm looking forward to relationships in SGU is that there is no "obvious pairing" that there are in most shows, so that leads to some variety in that department.

While I agree that ranged combat seemed to be nerfed in this game, I'd just like to point out that Leliana is more than a little off her rocker. Having had time to think about it, BioWare seemed to want Morrigan as the "bad girl" of the party, but I think that title should go to Leliana. After all, she has a habit of crying out, "I tried to be merciful!" after turning her target into a porcupine. Does that seem like the actions of a sane person? On a related note, I'm grinding my way through the Magi tower and am finding it particularly boring and a chore to play. Anyone else run into this? -
Well, I s'pose that since you're typing it doesn't really quality as "speaking"...

*spits on floor* Speak not the name of that most over-rated and vastly under-enjoyable show in my presence again. But back to the case at hand, did the aforementioned Show That Must Not Be Mentioned have said adulterer proclaiming his love for his marriage? Looking at the trailer for the next episode, it's looking like we'll get a deeper look into Young's affair.
-
This last episode was the weakest of the bunch so far, but that's still a vast improvement over most TV shows My personal favourites are still Darkness and Light. My respect for Greer is nothing short of astronomical and I'm looking forward to seeing how Young's affair will affect the people around him. Let's face it, how many sci-fi shows have the lead protagonist as an adulterer?

Most enemies usually are I just had another hysterical conversation, this time between Sten and Liliana. "*giggle* You're such a softie!" "I am not." "*poke* Softie!" "Stop that." "*giggle* Softie! *poke poke poke*" -

Well, I'll be... you're right. So much for me being able to pick out a VAs voice -

*perk* Really? I haven't recognized her voice and I'm pretty decent at it. I recognized Doctor Chakwas(?) from ME playing one of the Chanters, the one who always mixed up the Chant with food -

Speaking of all the character/party dialog, am I the only one who would be happy if BioWare releasd all that stuff as mp3 files? I think that'd be a blast. -

That's because she's a stuck-up, prissy little- *ahem* sorry 'bout that And no matter what my opinions on her are, I keep getting her approval instead of Morrigan! I keep going back to Dog to see if anyone else has some nifty words to share with the hound -

Personally, I like the way she looked in some pre-rendered cinematics (for a trailer, I guess?) -

I just had a conversation between Liliana and Morrigan, with Lili almost hitting on Morrigan. She kept going on and on about how she should take Morrigan shopping for some nice clothes, either silk or velvet. Liliana kept making comments about how the top would have to be low cut, and didn't stop until Morrigan demanded: "Stop staring at my breasts!" -

So I told myself I wasn't going to fall into the Bioware Trap. Up until, I'd done a decent enough job of resisting the allure, but no more. As with other BioWare games (Mass Effect mostly) I find myself enjoying the character interaction and conversations far more than the combat itself. I've now found myself in my usual position of griding away through quests and whatnot only for the privilage of unlocking the next set of conversations. And on that note, is it just me or does Leliana have some awesome lines with Sten and Morrigan? -

The part about that which amuses me is how BioWare took those expectations, played them to the hilt, and then turned them all on their sides How many other games have Elves as second-class former slaves? -

That's when you bust out one of the other orgin stories I'm playing a human noble for my first run-through, and a City Elf will be my next one. As for the characters, Kate Mulgrew was the one that made me sit up and notice. Hearing Captain Janeway spout pithy one-liners and scathing sarcasm? I'm so down with that -
Did you resculpt this kit from scratch, or just make new moulds from an existing master model?

I'm honestly surprised someone waited this long to take the bait. I phrased that last post very carefully for a reason

Why do anime women always get the shaft?

Grr Keep that up and I'll carpet-bomb you with requests for obscure 80s anime mecha and then flooding the page with Rifts mecha! ... can I get a hovertank? Or some of the Rifts cyborgs?

Along those lines, decal questions. They're still pretty much "soak in water until pliable, then slide off onto plastic", right? How much soak time do Hasagawa decals need before bcoming pliable? And one question that's been really bugging me: Dee-cal or deh-cal?

Well, in Bloodsport he did do the splits between two chairs, leading his friend to poke his head around the door, take one look, and say: "That hurts me just looking at it!" And in Double Impact, he started off the movie as a dance instructer and was gleefully demonstrating how he could easily do the splits to his (all-female) class due to his martials arts.

... and that's supposed to be appealing? Yuck.

Didn't he also do the splits in Bloodsport? What about Double Impact? Don't those count as "splits"?
