  1. So after some very unfan-like growling and complaining (and several circuits around the room) I managed to get it back to bike mode. Hooray! Now it's sitting on my table in all it's wheeled glory, taunting me. I can hear it now with it's little voice: "You suuuuck! Jenius transforms us with ease *snicker*. What's that? Giving up already? Mwa ha!" ... or maybe I should lay off the caffiene as soon as I wake up... Nah, the balcony time has passed. My problem is that I get halfway through a complex transformation and have to fight to keep interested in finishing it. I ran into the same problem with the Beta Fighter, but that toy is much larger and has fewer fiddly pieces to deal with.
  2. So I finally get my Rand-type VR-052 after some adress problems with FedEx. Still a startingly fast turn-around time, considering I ordered the toy less then a week ago. My final verdict? Very pretty too look at but, but a bitch to transform. Seriously, right now I'm about two seconds away from pitching the whole thing off my balcony and watching explode into a billion pieces. I followed the instructions step-by-step and got all the way to the part where I insert the rider and found that the tab that hooks into the upper back was in the wrong position by about an inch. Going back in the pictures I don't think I missed a step, but this is a huge mistake with my undexterous fingers. Now I'm about halfway back to motorcycle mode and have a floppy mess. Balcony time is looking more and more appealing... Also, does all the toys have the skew to one side like mine does? When I had it empty battloid mode, the front cowling that forms the chest doesn't come straight down to clip into the groin hook. Instead it comes down to one side due the metal swing-arms being different angles. Is this just mine or is it supposed to be this way?
  3. With a startling fast turn-around time from RT.com's store, I now am the proud owner of a shiney new FedEx tracking number. Which, as we all know, leads to insanity: *click refresh* Aww, still in Memphis. *click refresh* Aww, still in Memphis. *click refresh* Aww, still in Memphis. *click refresh* Aww, still in Memphis. *click refresh* Aww, *&^%@#$!!!!!
  4. Just broke down and ordered the Rand Cyclone. The VR-052T has always been my favourite and given the news of the lines demise, now seemed as good as a time as any.
  5. Creative... hollywood? Me no grok.
  6. Anyway we could convince you to give us a more in-depth tour of your casting process? Mold-making, mixing, molding the parts themselves?
  7. There are really only two choices in the game, and each of those really only has one outcome: 1) Bang or not bang Ashley (the answer is: bang); and 2) Be nice or Falcon PUUUUUNCH! the reporter chick (the answer is: lay the bitch out). All other "choices" are mere pretenders to the idea
  8. That's not new for this game.... which is a good thing, in my opinion For me, the worst part is that every planet drove and handled the same way. They went to all the trouble of giving all the planets their own Codex entry, complete with the local gravity force. It would've been nice if that gravity had been reflected in the Mako gameplay sections.
  9. How is that different from any movie that comes out these days? Every movie exec drawing a salary is slobbering over the franchise-ability.
  10. The difference is that we've had 10-15 years worth of maturing between Michael Dudikoff and this
  11. I couldn't even make it through the trailer for this. As soon as I heard that the W-Bros were doing it, that sent all sorts of red flags flapping. Three-quarters of the way through the trailer proved those flags right. As for the 80s Ninja flicks, American Ninja was a decent flick. I refuse to re-watch it, however My personal favourite Michael Dudikoff movie had to be his Dirty Dozen with KidsTM flick. That was pretty enjoyable at the time.
  12. While the controls took some getting used to, the part about Too Human that drove me nuts is that the gameworld was so large and expansive in the promotional materials and manual, but very little of that got into the game itself. A good example is the Valiants that helped out on the later levels. In the pre-release infodumps, they got backgrounds and explanations and a reason to be there. In the game itself... none of that was given. They simply dropped out of the sky with no explanation and I was left going, "Wha...?"
  13. More like, SciFi-exec: "This Sci-Friday thing of SG-1, SGA, and BSG is working pretty good. We should break it up and spread the love over more days!" Yeesh. There really didn't have to be much thought as to why all three shows pulled their best numbers during that Sci-Friday timeframe...
  14. You mean like how they'd planned to before Sci-Fi announced that they were whacking the show (after spending months pimping it's 200th episode, no less)? Screwed by the network, indeed.
  15. I meant as a regular character, on the show from day-to-day. That would've been neat. Actually, I enjoyed the Ori storyline. I hated Season 8 with a passion, and to this day I simply refuse to spend money on it. I found S9 and S10 to be far superior and enjoyable.
  16. Yeah. After that first episode, I really wanted Robert Patrick to survive, but sadly.... same thing with that guest-colonel who showed up during the first season finale. I wanted him to survive too, but he ended up croaking.
  17. The nerfing of KoToR II is the biggest blunder I've ever personally experienced. And as much as I enjoyed the game, I have to say that Too Human also qualifies here, if only for the sheer amount of story that didn't make it into the game proper.
  18. I'd like to see more Star Wars films. I'd also like more Stargate films, too.
  19. Om nom nom nom. Once again, I wonder how the Hovertanks would turn out with his workmanship...
  20. You all fail 80s cartoons. ALL of you! There is but one singular 80s theme that eclipses all others in sheer awesomeness: Glory to the 80s! ... even if He-Man and Sabre Rider come in close seconds
  21. I just saw the latest trailer for this, and I have to say that my opinion of this is slowly edging upwards. Then again, considering the rock-bottom level it started at, there really wasn't any other direction to go...
  22. Ahhh, but none of those vids are about the creation of awesome mecha-goodness by our exhalted Captain. that makes all the difference right there
  23. Is this monster a build-yourself model kit or a completed toy?
