  1. I played Infiltrator/Spectre last time, and this time it doesn't look to be quite as much fun. Stealth tactics in a shooter game? Probably won't work that well. I should probably keep my stealthing to Splinter Cell games. I think I'll go pure Soldier class this time and make like Clarance Boddicker: "Ooh, guns guns guns!"
  2. The first trailer for the A-Team is out and it actually looks good. I never watched any of the original series (that I remember doing) and will be able to approach this with fresh eyes.
  3. I find myself almost mourning the halt on Robocop. I'd have enjoyed the take Darren Arnofsky (?) would've had.
  4. I already have a soft spot in my heart for Subject Zero. She looks to be delightfully void of any shred of sanity
  5. While I haven't watched the trailer yet (I have it loaded but can't quite bring myself to hit play) I'm unsure of the casting decisions. Jackie Chan I can buy, but Will Smith's kid? That's too young to bring the romance between Daniel-san and his kinda-sorta-maybe-wouldbe-girlfriend into the mix, and that's part of what made that movie so good. Watching him stumble and fall, pick himself back up and try again. ... dammit, now I have to go watch it again. I blame all of you for this! EDIT: Now that I've forced myself to watch the trailer, I can virtually ensure that I won't be seeing the film itself. Kid-ifying the main role just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. The only possible way of salvaging this movie is they somehow are able to copy the father/son relationship Mr. Myagi had with Daniel. I'm not holding my breath, though.
  6. Couldn't be any worse...
  7. Oh man, do you know how long its been since I had a Doctor Pepper? I can't think that far back, that's how long! Does this contest run in Canada or is only for you Yankee-types?
  8. "It's not just a spaceship... it's a transformer!"
  9. Maybe we just expect more from the man who imagined the Abyss and the Terminator. Those were thoughtful, inventive, and entertaining effects flicks done right.
  10. You might want to rethink that comment considering the board we're posting on...
  11. Nah, the part that bothers me is the apparent hypocrisy of his attitude (fully gleaned from Wikipedia, bastion of immutable knowledge that it is). *muttermutter*bash*muttermutter*rant*muttermutter* Okay, okay, okay. You got me there. But I don't have to like it!
  12. What's going to happen here is Moore is going to write the script, get the sets built, and then complain that the studio wants to change things around for a more 'hip' feel. Then he's going to go and get permission to remake some old TV show and totally change things around in his own way. 'Cuz it's alright when he disregards the source material but God forbid if the studio wants to. FYI: That's what happened with his Dragonriders of Pern TV show. They got up as far as filming a pilot episode when Moore balked at the changes the network wanted to make it more Buffy-like, complaining that it was disregarding the novels. Then look at what he did with BSG... great way to respect the source material, dude
  13. At least BioWare is doing for DAO what it had promised for Mass Effect: expanding the story with DLC/extra content. In most of the pre-release hype for ME we were hammered with the DLC gimmick and it basically didn't arise. It's good that they can learn from their mistakes.
  14. Does such a thing exist...?
  15. So the upcoming MMOFPS set in the Eve Online universe holds no interest for you? That's one game I'm looking forward to.
  16. So I just finished Dragon Age. Overall I give my playthrough of the game an 8.5/10. It had the usual BioWare golden standards of storytelling and character interaction, but lost some points in places like The Fade and Orzemmar, which are little more than dungeon-crawlers and virtually no role-playing aspects. Will I play through it again? Probably not all the way, but I'll probably play through each of the seperate origin stories to see how they turn out
  17. Of course he will. These awards shows are little more than popularity contests and I really wouldn't be surprised at the depths of back-room barganing that I suspect goes into these things. As for Bayformers... I kinda maybe possibly *muttermutter* ne'ermind.
  18. I know I'm going to get yelled at for this, but upon repeated viewings Revenge of the Fallen is a much better film than I had initially given it credit for. It didn't quite have that 'love at first sight' that Transformers did, but it's actually pretty entertaining. It's hardly perfect, but then I also enjoy pointing out errors, mistakes, and general crappiness about an equally entertaining film called Star Trek. So to recap: + on ROTF], - on Star Trek, and - - - - - for BSG. Let the bitchstorm commence
  19. Yes, I'm quite sure.
  20. If any blue chick is going to be giving me a lapdance, it's going to be an asari.
  21. I'll hold him down, make it easier for you to get your shots in.
  22. *eye-narrows* *pulls out the Voodoo doll*
  23. My theory is that Whiplash sold the plans for his recreated reactor to anyone with money. Add to that with the Iron Monger blueprints undoubtaly on file somewhere...
